The Android release has been messy...it was delayed, is not compatible with a number of modern, popular handset models and looking at the above message the information TellTale are providing isn't exactly encouraging.
I get that maybe the mobile platform isn't the most profitable for them but this is poor form none the less.
They really are a bunch of a..holes... we don't even get to know how much time will pass until we can finally pay.
That's really a typical telltale answer.
I really want to play this game, but if that is how telltale treat their customers they won't get any money from me, I won't support this shit even though I could play it on my PS4
This is what I got from telltale about supporting Mali GPU..
Hi,
The Walking Dead: A New Frontier will initially support a sel… moreect group of devices and GPUs on launch. We have a more detailed list on supported devices and GPUs in our support article here:
https://telltale.com/support/article/twd3-android-devices/
We will update this article if compatibility is added to more devices.
Please note that a device can have multiple different models with different GPUs. If you see your device listed in our article but the Google Play Store says your device is not compatible, this means you have a different device model that has an unsupported GPU.
If your device is not listed or is not compatible, the game cannot be downloaded onto your device at this time. Please note that we do not take requests for certain devices to become compatible. However, we are working hard to potentially expand this supported device list in the future.
The problem is Telltale's information on the Play Store simply isn't accurate. To start with it mentions "Only supports devices running OS6 Marshmallow, and versions of OS5 Lollipop that support OpenGL 3.1". Well my Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus fulfilled both those requirements but wasn't compatible (with their Batman title, so safe to say it wouldn't have worked with The Walking Dead Season 3 either.)
Then it goes on to say further down in examples of devices that are compatible and lists "Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge (Adreno only)". Well the S7 I have in the UK is the Exynos version and the game runs near flawlessly on it.
So to start with they list specs which my previous phone met but wasn't compatible, then further down they show that my new phone shouldn't be compatible but is.
Telltale need to make the information on the Play Store far clearer.
I wouldn't put much stock in the model being an S3. The GPU is the key thing.
Being an S6 user I'm not too worried. I reckon I'll get it running eventually.
How rapid were initial sales on the older games? Looking at the Play Store this one seems to be selling slowly, given all the pre-release hype meant people knew this game was coming:
S1 - 2012 - 10 million downloads
S2 - 2013-14 - 5 million downloads
Michonne - 2016 - 10,000 downloads
S3 - 2016-17 - 1000 downloads
Sure, it has only been out a few weeks, but that is a sharp downward trend. People won't upgrade their phone to play this game, there clearly aren't enough hardcore fans. They need to widen availability.
This is totally true man, but they may want to present the game like " a new game which needs a good computer/laptop/tablet/phone to play it" so as to be more "futuristic" or something like that? I don't really know but I think they want to keep up with the "new generation" of games. However, this is a little dumb if you ask me.

So there is still no news for the mac version ?
I was wondering if it's going to be the same thing that with the batman series. Is someone from telltale can tell me why these two games aren't available on mac yet.
If I remember correctly there wasn't such a long period of time between the release of the PC and MAC version on any other game.

Telltale updated their engine for all new series starting with Batman; evidently, they must have had trouble getting the engine optimized for Mac if it is not out yet. I am only a volunteer moderator and this is just my personal speculation.

No. The show's Glenn is dead. The game's Doug is dead who was often confused with Glenn. The game's Glenn went to Atlanta to find his friends and never returned.
Yeah I wouldn't even think about saving javi or any of his family members over Clem and AJ. I know that I sound very cold but I honestly think that their games are so amazing is because of how depressing they are. I am hoping that you get attached to all of the characters especially Javi and then everybody dies except for Clem and AJ.
Man I sure hope this season has a happy ending. I know telltale will make Javier and Clem become very good friends (not initially but throug… moreh the episodes) and then they will make them go separate ways. But I don't want that too happen. If Javier tuns out to be a really good person (which I'm sure of) then I want his and Clem's friendship in twds4.
Is there no easy place to see the release dates for the episodes? For earlier seasons you could find release dates... but right now it seems hard to know when the next episode will be out.
I will kill the next person that says "communication" in a post on this thread.
Don't reply "communication" to this very comment; that's not funny; you might employ irony and believe that you're blowing people's minds, but you're really not.

that's something telltale needs to sort out asap.

What a shitty answer, huh? My Android device isn't supported, thank God I managed to buy a new laptop, but it stills annoys me so freaking much.

It's a shame that I can't play the game on my laptop since I only have 64MB in total. But at least I can play it on my mum's laptop!!~
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3.Running Mali GPU.
I'm so screwed

I had the same answer about my PC, so I had to bought a new (cheap) graphics card in order to play the game. Lol :P

Why is this thread still active?
This is not the thing.. Mali GPU can handle the game pretty well..
Idk why they didnt support it
Because the hype for The Walking Dead series is still alive.
Still no MAC version on either the walking dead season 3 or batman...
...will live forever
Yeah, sorry.

Yeah, not happy is a bit of an understatement now.

I always use the word relay. Example: "I relayed on a forum just now, and it was awesome!"
