btw, i dont understand fascination with clementine. shes a weak character and everyone act like shes the most badass person ever. she would be DEAD if it wasnt for other people exchanging there lives for hers. lee, luke and many others would still be alive if she was dead. sorry but thats the truth.
God people overact with cigarettes, one cigarette isnt going to do anything. Maybe there will be a scene where people share a drink/smoke and clem will accept or refuse

So people are not allowed to disagree with the way the game is being handled all of a sudden? We're not allowed to feel uneasy when all these huge changes are being made to a game we have played for years? The main reason I'm uneasy is because I love this game and to see it take a wrong turn would break my heart.
But, no, we all have to love the new changes or be okay with them and if not, all respect is lost for us. At least we're not being the only one's who are dramatic.
it is sorta bait and switch.
I think you are over complicating things. Telltale isn't malicious enough to "bait and switch" people, … moreand I don't imagine they thought people would be so horrified at the thought of someone besides Clem holding the spotlight.
I wonder if there'll be any references to the (determinant) fact that Clementine has eaten human.
Would be cool if letting Clem eat human meat in Season 1, Episode 2 brought up some special dialogue in Season 3!
For when a character[Clem] is so good and special that even after 4 years you still haven't come up with a decent direction for the character's story so you just make her into a side character.
This is Javier's story

I'm happy that we're playing a new character. It seems that every season (if it continues on) has a new type of character and it gives us something new. We already know a good bit of Clem's story. Now it's time to focus on a new one. I'm also happy that even though Clem won't exactly be in the main spotlight she is still majorly invovled with the story. I'm satisfied.
I did not say who I agree or disagree with, I personally am indifferent to the situation, I can't say I'm thrilled but I'm not outraged either. "A couple of people" took the outrage a bit too far, I get that people are really passionate about this game but damn guys, chill.

Sorry if my comment came off as pretentious.
Uh I mean I think Luke and pretty much anyone else who died in season 2 would have died the way they did anyways, he didn't die for her, the ice lake just happened. The only person that "exchanged" his life with the purpose to save Clem in season 2 is Omid. A child is still going to need protection, no matter how badass we try to make her.

Maybe it's because we wanted Clementine to have a little insight on why adults choose to smoke or drink, or satisfy a child's curiosity on what it's like to eat or drink stuff made for grown-ups.
It's like a checklist of things to do before you die, and in a zombie apocalypse a child likely won't live long to be an adult, so might as well have them try it out when they ask for it just this once.

Maybe they both lose people to the same enemy and so that binds them closer. What do you think?
Telltale said that the new season would be caught up with the comic, in Virginia & around the Alexandria Safe Zone. It makes me wonder if this common enemy is a person or group they're going to make up for the game, or if the Whisperers will make an appearance.
There's something Job said that really got my attention:
"Javier NEEDS Clem."
Or something along those lines.

I'm probably one of the biggest fans of Clementine here on the forums. I have become hugely invested in her story, I'm probably one of the f… moreew people who didn't mind how she acted in Season 2 and felt (for the most part) it was a realistic transition for her character after the events of Season 1, and she has become my all time favorite fictional character.
With that being said, I have absolutely no problem with what Telltale said about this mainly being Javier's story. In fact, it's made me even more excited and optimistic for Season 3. Telltale is not completely ignoring Clementine, she's not being relegated to some background, uninvolved character, she's still essential to the main story and we'll still be playing as her. And by being able to play as Javier, it could allow Clem's character to further develop in ways that may not have been capable if we were only playing as her. But what's really got me interested is when he said the rol… [view original content]
"This is really Javier's story." Alright, guess what? I don't care about Javier. Sure, you could have him be the center of the story like you seem to be planning to, but my focus and care is always going to be on Clementine. And I'm going to be really upset if we don't get a proper continuation to Season 2 in this Season. They should be saying "This is both Clementine AND Javier's story." Not just Javier's.

No shit you don't care about Javier. You don't even know his motivation, character, personality. You literally know fuck all like the rest of us. You can make your judgement when you've actually seen/played the episode like once again the rest of us.

I swear some people are acting like we've played Clem from the start. We've played as Clementine for exactly one season of the game. Why is it so terrible or surprising that we would play mainly as another character this time? Clem's better when she's not the main playable character anyways. Playing as her made Season 2 seem ridiculous because all the adults were suddenly insanely incompetent and she's doing things she never should be.

great.. thanks to yours childish reactions to new main character, im gonna cheer when clementine dies in s3 finale.
I'm not surprised, same goes for me.

No offence... But you're a monster!
Also, you mean IF.
Edgy, bro
Quality prediction I've been waiting for.....
I love this tumblr.

The worst part is that this person was completely serious
Why would anyone even want to make Clementine smoke? I mean, seriously?

If Clem is the one who get's cancer and not Bonnie then I'm gonna be pissed.
I'm kidding, I know she can't get cancer from one cigarette don't kill me.

Well I agree, however I was pointing out why someone would not be happy over the choice of main character.
[after escaping a camp where the people eat other survivors]
Javier: Can't believe we made it out in one piece. Why would they do such a thing?
Clem: I've had it before. It's not that bad.
XD .. jk

She is not a side character, they are both the Protagonists.
The story is just more focused on Javier.

Eh, it's cool Crazed. I thought you were generalizing people who disagreed.
I just don't get why whenever someone merely disagrees with the way TTG does something people think you just sinned.

The longest month of my life.

@Dont_Look_Back Amen
Edit:God this computer.
Shit, only a month away? Feels like it was only yesterday they announced that they were making a third season...

Guys What does it mean by small recap for previous info at NYCC?

Soon Wolf.
Sooooon.
Chill out.
That's your opinion, you don't speak for all of us.
Obviously. That's why he posted it, he was sharing his opinion. I don't actually see any indication of him saying that he was speaking for everyone...
Do I need to put THIS IS MY OPINION in bold text before everything I say here? I thought these things were a given.
