Did you change your ending to save Kenny? (New Statistics 2016 & Comparison)
A while back the stats at the end of Episode 5 were drastically different then they are now. Previously, almost 70% of people shot Kenny and 30% of people did not. Now looking at the stats in 2016, it is almost exactly 50/50. It appears that a lot of people either played the game as new users suddenly or a lot of player went back and changed their endings. I think a lot of people did go back and save Kenny and that's why the stats have changed.
As of now
50% of people shot Kenny (70% previously)
49& of people did not shoot Kenny (30% previously)
22% of people are with Kenny (13% previously)
20% of people are with Jane and Family (36% previously)
24% of people are alone. (22% previously)
13% of people are at wellington (20% previously)
10% of people are with Jane.(13% previously)
I'm not sure if these are the statistics across all platforms but when I checked recently on the computer these were the stats. It's just crazy how the stats have changed so much since the last ones were out. I think a lot of people did end up changing their ending and saving Kenny because the Jane endings are no longer the most popular. Jane with family ending dropped 16 points down and Kenny ending jumped up 9 points. Wellington ending also jumped up, while Jane ending dropped. Alone ending stayed pretty much the same. So this is just my assumption that a lot of people changed their ending or maybe I'm completely wrong and we just have a lot of new players. Another possibility might be a bunch of saved files.
Anyway to people who saved Jane originally, did you change your ending to save Kenny and why?
Comments
I stood by my ending choice at the end, even after finding out the truth behind the conflict between Kenny and Jane. I chose to shoot Kenny and stay with Jane without the family.
I did go back and change my ending to save Kenny, the only reason why was just curiosity on how the ending would change. Matter of fact I have played this game at least two dozen times, selecting different options all the time just to see how the game played out.
The very first time, I did shoot Kenny to save Jane though. The 2nd time I played defending Kenny in everything he did and said, loyal as if he were Lee ( WHO I LOVED AND MISS TERRIBLY) ... I didnt even stay at Wellington when we got there... decided to leave with Kenny.
I would like to know what happened to Krista's baby.... we have to assume it became an evening snack for one of the late night roamers, but I wish they would of mentioned it in S2..... I wonder if we will ever see Krista again too.
Yeah, the Kenny comment was obviously S2- mixed up my episodes there as I have recently been replaying it too
Yeah, but what about your last playthrough?
My ending the first time I played TWD S2 E5 was leaving Wellington with Kenny. One time when I replayed Season 2 I stayed at Wellington, but my canon playthrough is staying with Kenny. I've never, ever gone with Jane in any of my playthroughs, and I never will.
So nothing's ever been changed.
To be honest, I never changed my ending. I stayed with Kenny originally and my ending remains that way.
Though, once I did try out what the difference between the leave with Kenny and stay in Wellington endings were like, but either way, my canon ending's always been the same.
I have multiple saves with different endings and multiple playthroughs seeing all the dialogue/choices play out. I'm sure others have done this as well. Bound to have the statistics a bit jumbled since released.
I think by now most people have done just about every ending.
The statistics differ between platforms, I wasn't even sure if the statistics still changed xD
The stats haven't been updated recently. Depends on what platform.
I changed it, courtesy of my distraught girlfriend. In our playthrough, I ended up alone, but she insisted we change things haha
I initially left Wellington to be with Kenny. I did have other playthroughs to experience all the endings, but my main game is the save with Kenny.
I saved Kenny, and I left Wellington behind to stay with him. Even after seeing the other endings, I'm most content with this one. I feel like I got what I wanted at the end of season 2.
To be honest it depends on your system, I think some of the newer consoles take into account every playthrough, rather than just the first playthrough as such pretty much every choice is now 50/50 because most people play through twice.
I got the two variants of the "Alone" endings.
The first time I hardly completed the procedural exercise of self-harming shit No Going Back turned out to be and merely walked alone with the terrifying thought that there may be a way that Jane could somehow invade my narrative at a later point in the third season.
Reluctantly, I decided to trek back to the final scene in which the decision was made after being marginally more pleased watching the more "Penultimate Alone" ending and did that as my canon playthrough.
Killed Kenny but then immediately rewinded and chose to save him.
My canon playthrough has always remained the same, I left Wellington with Kenny. Although I have other alternate saves with the other endings.
When I first played I got the ending where you stay with Kenny, so I didnt change my ending.
However, Im sure the stats are more 50 50 now because first, the game is now 2 years old now, so just a larger player group now, also Im sure there was plenty of people who shot Kenny who didnt want to, and then they replayed.
Proud to say that I ended the game with Kenny on my first playthrough. I knew the game was trying to turn me on Ken so I went into the finale ready to do anything to help him. So glad I got that beautiful happy ending, I was almost surprised that the season had a happy ending and not Kenny getting murdered last second.
To be honest, I thought they shot Kenny at Wellington's gates when they gave the warning shot. I was like "this is too good to be true, something horrible's gonna happen". XD
Yeah I did too. I was so nervous at first during that scene.
I also thought Kenny had died after the 9 day time skip when we saw Clem's face, it reminded me of the time skip when Christa's baby died.
I'm so so glad we're apparently getting more Kenny in s3, but I've pretty much accepted that he is going to die and probably in a bad way. We might even have to put him down or leave him like Lee.
Let's hope he doesn't just die like that, let's hope he and Clem just get separated like it happened with Christa. Hopefully we may come across him again in the present time with Javier. I know I'm just being a dreamer but one can hope.
Nope.
Because i ever saved Kenny and leave with him at Wellngton.
I can't even see the other endings on YouTube, because it is for me absolutely disgusting.
No I didn't because that's not how the game is supposed to be played imo, but I would if I were to change I would save him instead of Jane...
I did change my ending - something I'm not exactly happy I did, but I'm much more satisfied with my new ending in a narrative sense.
I initially shot Kenny, went to Howe's with Jane, and accepted the family. Felt weird and unsatisfied. Went back to save Kenny, went with him to Wellington, stayed in Wellington. Felt much more satisfied because it tied in the whole arc of trying to find Wellington on Christa's suggestion back in episode 1, and also felt like the best situation to leave Clementine and AJ.
While I normally don't like the principle of going back and changing decisions, I felt like I was genuinely neutral enough on Kenny and Jane that I honestly could have gone either way, and I didn't feel so guilty about it.
Idk, I feel like something bad went down between s2 and s3. We will see. I hope Kenny doesn't vanish again, it'd be unrealistic to find him a second time and I also want some sort of closure.
I've tried all the Endings so I now have one for:
My original one was with Jane and the Family, I haven't changed my main save file - I feel like I need at least 3 more save slots xD
I left Wellington with Kenny on my first play through, but I have other save files with the different endings so that when season 3 is released I can see what happens with all the locations/ people you are at/ with at the end of season 2
I changed my original ending (Jane & the family) to leaving with Kenny Kens.
On my second playthrough, yes and went to Wellington.
First playthrough, killed him twice(to make sure Jane was dead too) and went it alone.
My eventual third playthrough will most likely be no and went to Howe's Hardware.
TFW I'm not one of those people.
Fuck that bitch ! I'm with Kenny! 100%
Kenny, Clementine and Javier make a good team don't they?
Seems fine.
Just keep an alternate playthought tabbed up i always do that on every telltalegame and then have your first save be your canon playthought and your 2nd just an alternate playthought to explore other choices and compare with your canon save.
How do you kill someone twice in one playthought lol?
Yes i did change my save Canon save: on Wellington
2nd Save: with Kenny
3rd Save : Jane and Family
I picked the canon ending and stuck with it.
There is no "canon" ending but which one do you think it was?
By replaying the final chapter after the credits roll. The first time, I shot Kenny and then left Jane when I learned what she did. Then Chaos Control and unfortunately, Kenny had to cross that line because there's not shoot Jane or Look away option in her favor--then I shot him again just to keep it decided.
