Why Did You Save....(Spoilers)

  • I like Selina but I decided to save Harvey because he was absolutely defenseless while Selina could handle herself.

  • Harvey because we have the chance to prevent a villain, and because the consequences seemed more dire. Even if it's a choice between having Two-Face or having still villainous Catwoman in the end, I can live with that. Catwoman was always the "villain" who was more like an antihero with a love-hate relationship with Bats, and I don't see that changing. So if she doesn't go good because of my choice, not too much skin off my nose. I like her better like that anyways.

And I don't think she'll be able to turn against us and help out Oz or anything like that considering he wants her dead.

  • I saved Harvey. Catwoman is a tough lady and I still was under the impression of that bar fight, where she practically threw those thugs all over the place. So I expected her to manage even up against guns.

  • I chose Selina.
It was obvious Harvey wasn't gonna die, and I wanted to secure Selina as an ally (plus why would I want to play as no-gf batman?). I was on the phone tryin to get Harvey out of the debate prior and all he gave a fuck about was my money, while admitting he was gonna run me through the mud anyways.

  • I saved Selina because I wanted Harvey to become Two-Face ASAP.

  • i saved Harvey first and on my other saved file i saved catwomen

  • Because I thought that by going for Harvey, maybe I wouldn't get Two-Face and I wanted Two-Face. Also, maybe Selina would have died and I intend to make a move on her later on. She's smokin'

  • I saved Harvey. First, because with Hill out of the picture, someone needs to lead Gotham, and he proved himself while under the influence of the drug. Second, He was a friend and a civilian. I figured that Selina could hold them off until it was possible to help, but Harvey's ability to lead Gotham meant that he had to be the first choice.

  • Harvey would become two-face anyway, telltale games has always been like that.

I don't see any rational reason to save Harvey other than to not look at the scarred face.

  • I saved Harvey

  • Well, Selina won't be in the mansion if you saved Harvey so I can definitely see a different path.

  • I saved Selina because in this story I don't feel a bond with Harvey, nor do I see him being a very good person. What he's shown me is that he does have a good heart, but he can be corrupted quite easily. Eventually he'll be just as bad as Mayor Hill. Had I seen him more bold and determined like he was against Penguin then the choice would have been harder. I also felt responsible for bringing Selina into that situation, so even if there was a 1% chance (BvS joke) she could die, I wouldn't risk it. I tried helping Harvey, I tried telling him not to go, but he was too stubborn, so if he died I wouldn't feel too responsible for that. However seeing how severe the wounds were (even with the graphic issues on XB1's version), I felt a bit of regret. I found myself thinking, "Damn it, I could have stopped this...!" Then holding Selina's hand made me feel better; I'm a sucker for love.

  • You are saying this is the second time Batman ever saw Catwoman?

  • Harvey. Was a civilian, couldn't defend himself against Penguin, a good friend to Bruce, and could also end up as the greater good for Gotham if he's to become mayor. Bros before hoes.

  • Saved Selina, because I want a partner fighting beside batman. I think it was awesome that you could have catwoman help in the backstage fight. I want more of those moments.

  • Well, in Telltale yes, he knows her only since EP1.

CATWOMAN: I was wondering if we would cross paths

It can mean she never crossed paths with him.

ALFRED: Did you find out what that.. catwoman.. was trying to steal?

Alfred doesn't remember her name (or put scepticism about it) so it sounds likely they never met. Also..

ALFRED: Though people like this.. catwoman.. aren't helping. Is she new to town?
    BRUCE: Never seen her before.

CODEX: (concerning catwoman) New criminal on the scene.

You are saying this is the second time Batman ever saw Catwoman?

  • i saved Harvey, because he's a bro. plus I thought Selina/catwoman can 100% handle and defend herself, but i'm bummed because having 2 face in the game will make it more interesting than catwoman being presumably mad or angry at bruce = meh

  • It was honestly a very tough call for me, but I ended up saving Harvey. I generally began overthinking this choice and who to meet Hill as (ended up going with Bruce) but when I put in perspective I made the right call, I was saving Harvey for Gotham. If I saved Selina I was saving her for Bruce.

  • I put in perspective I made the right call, I was saving Harvey for Gotham. If I saved Selina I was saving her for Bruce.

That was the mindset I had coming into that choice as well. I figured Selina was capable of self defense, and that on top of Harvey being more vulnerable, it was also important for Harvey to be saved for the future well being of Gotham.

  • Oh and that too (Being capable of handling herself) with how both outcomes turned out I was quite relieved with the choice I picked!

  • I always miss tiny details like that.

Anyway, Harvey is gonna become twi face no matter what and he wint be your friend after that.

If Selina is hurt, she cant help you. Obviously there is no reason to save Harvey

  • In my Canon save file I chose to save Harvey. The reason being that throughout this story the main thing we know is that Gotham is full of crime and that Harvey is trying to stop it anyway he can. So my Batman wouldn't have risked the future of Gotham for Catwoman. Also Harvey can't really handle himself. Catwoman knew the dangers of assisting Batman going in. Just my opinions lol!!

  • Harvey as he's a civilian.

Selina can take care of herself and as we all saw a gun shot diesnt really stop her while crippling Harvey ruins him and dooms Gotham.

  • Because Harvey is more important to the city if he isn't injured and becomes a villain. I've only known catwoman for a very short time and she can handle herself.

  • I saved Selina because I assumed Harvey was destined for Two-Face anyhow...BULLSHIT, I saved Selina in the hopes B-Man can get pet her kitty. LOL

I saved Selina because i was thinking with something else that's not my head. Now i have to live with the Consequences.

  • I think it was a really bad choice to submit to the player.

On one hand the "canonical" choice would be to save Selina and abandon Harvey, this way it starts the Batman/Catwoman romance and Harvey will become Two Face.

On the other hand I think that we all know what choice the Batman would make, he would save Harvey without a doubt.

So personally since this choice I have two save files, because from my point of view none of those two is good.

  • Well eventually, maybe. But despite their spark, at the point you have to choose you've spent literally ten minutes with her. I'm not sure that makes her the second most important person in his life yet.

Selina because if there's 2 people Bruce Wayne cares about the most, it's Selina and Alfred. Tough luck, Harv. I love Harvey too, though. If I had to rank who I'd save over the other, it's Alfred > Selina > Harvey

  • Well it's not like Bruce knows what the future holds. And even aside from that, I feel if Harvey's going to be Two-Face anyway it's better if it's not Bruce's fault this happens. If we can't point to the debate and say that if only Batman had chosen him instead of his fellow hero(ish) then things would be fine. I know I definitely didn't want to live with the responsibility for intense mutilation every time I looked at him. *It won't stop bleeding. *

And what's the "rational" reason to save Selina who is just fine without your intervention? She likes you more if you put helping her out of a scrape above saving someone who needs you more and who you showed up to save?

Harvey would become two-face anyway, telltale games has always been like that. I don't see any rational reason to save Harvey other than to not look at the scarred face.

  • It depends on the way you look at it, it seems like Bruce or Selina had never encounter someone like them before they meet, add to this the fact that they know each other real identity and can be (are) honest with the other. In my opinion it's enough to make their relationship strong even if it's new.

And also Bruce doesn't know Harvey fo too long either, if you read the codex the first sentence wich is write is "A new friend...". I would say they know each other about a year maybe. Even if he states that Harvey is his best friend, Bruce doesn't have many real friends.

  • There is no certainty she will be even if you saved her. As far as I know even if you saved Harvey opening her the door of the manor still appears.

  • Saving Selina felt right in terms of telling a Batman story, since it furthers BatCat and leaves Harvey with his iconic scarring, though from a general story standpoint saving Harvey might make more sense.

But in terms of the narrative, I think saving Selina is the strongest choice, personally.

  • Episode three isn't relevant to Bruce's experience when he has to make a choice in episode two.

    Play episode 3.

  • Save Harvey because I want to prevent him from becoming Two-Face. Also "Bros before Hoes"

    Harvey.

    1. He can help me change Gotham (Most important factor to me)
    2. He's my best friend
    3. He was unarmed.
    4. I was hoping to give him a happy ending.

I care about Selina but in that type of situation Harvey's survival would benefit everyone more.

  • Harvey because he was better for Gotham AND Selina knew better how to handle herself. However I did regret it a bit after, I was Batman there and Selina was my partner there, not Harvey (i thought that at the moment, not anymore)

  • The rational reason is... IF HARVEY GONNA BE TWO FACE ANYWAY. Why destroy your alliance with selina by not saving?
