Javier is our main character, he's going to be capable. The player will determine his success, after all.
When Telltale says Javier needs Clementine, I think they mean it in the way that Javier cannot (supposedly) rescue his family without her help. For example, they might team up to accomplish a common goal, or Clementine might know the way to Capricorn Farms, they might even meet in a cell after being captured, and have to work together to escape... Something like that.
I interpret Clem and Javi's relationship to start out as an alliance before it becomes a friendship. Both will support each other and work together to reach their end goal; saving their families.
Clementine won't be a total badass, nor will she be the sasslord. I see her more as a rugged survivor. I think the people here are just really hyped, as I've stated before. But obviously I cannot speak for everyone.

TWDG's previous seasons have put a lot of emphasis on love and family, I wouldn't be too surprised if this season was mostly about rescuing AJ and Javi's family.
I sort of thought he needed her for emotional support, rather then to save his family. That's how it sounded to me anyway.
I kind of think the former sounds more interesting.
(And I hope the whole game's not about saving their family...)
Do you think this Season will have, like, a happy ending?
Maybe they find somewhere that's safe or something...?
Also, is the whole world overrun by Walkers, or just America? (I haven't read the comics or seen the show)
I believe that Clementine will be able to offer Javier help because of the position in which she is rather than her own abilities; where I am getting at is that other people in the same situation as her would be able to help him as well, and it's not because of Clem's attributes themselves.

Exactly. I do believe some people are forgetting that technically Clementine is still only a kid and certainty won't be as capable as some might want to think. Not saying she'll be incompetent, but to say she'll be some ultimate badass is definitely a stretch.
Ugh, god!
I'm cringing at all this Clementine supremacy posts. For gods sake, Clementine isn't some all-knowing martyr that is better tha… moren everyone. No she won't be unrealistically be saving capable adults. And for god's sake, Javier won't be her bitch.
We don't know how much Javier suffered, maybe he's been suffering from enslavement from the beginning of the apocalypse. Maybe he's been in a comfy hotel since the beginning! We just don't know. What I do know, is that having Clementine acting like a self entitled bitch who thinks knows better than everyone would be the most cringy thing ever, and believe me, you guys wouldn't like that either.
Javier: [Loses his brother]
Clementine: Get used to the feeling, whelp!
Wooooooooow, much badass, Clementine. Such nice. You tell them! -.-
I just remembered that I did actually watch PewDiePie's Let's Play of the game, and it was interesting, it just didn't grab my attention as much as the previous seasons.

Such as, say, multiple paper cuts.
Paper cut torture!? That's horrible.

Actually I think they're breaking in.

I completely coincide with this view.

And then lots of alcohol and lemon juice.
Since this is The Walking Dead, I don't believe we will have a "happy" ending. Something shocking and tragic is bound to happen.
Darn... Maybe the rest of the season can be shocking and tragic but the ending is happy...?
No one hurts Clem or I will make my Clem be evil as shit lol
I think a happy ending would be nice, but it's highly unlikely.
I think Javier will have to choose at the end - Clem or his family. Clem will be like his younger sister or really good friend.
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking is gonna happen.
I feel Clementine will be in great danger at the end, i hope we will be able to save her.

I don't know who you had positive thinking in the first place; It's The Walking Dead.
That's what I'm afraid of. I will do my very best to save her.
You and 99.78% of players chose to save Clementine.
FOR SURE!
WHO WILL YOU SAV-
Me: Saves Clementine
I wasn't finished!
Me: It was an easy decision.
Save Clem or AJ?
I would honestly save Clementine.
Norma was fine, and I am wishing for a similar kind of antagonist.
[Nervous laugh.]
Me too, and Actually, i don't really like this baby, he might make trouble for Clementine.
That would be a really hard choice, since AJ is only like 2, right?
So... I don't know who I'd choose... Probably Clementine.
A psychotic villian would be awesome like Negan and then he has a right hand men like Randal and Norma that would be pretty cool!!
What about a bittersweet ending, like Michonne's?
And Clem is only 13 ... a baby's life are important in the same as the life of a child.
If they make this a choice it will be the only choice that's worse and more obvious than the pathetic michonne one.
I've never played Michonne, so I didn't know, but it's possible that Season 3's ending could be bittersweet.
Clementine is who I would choose and TellTale knows it too. Maybe the final choice might be Clem chooses Javier or AJ!
You've got to go watch a silent playthrough, at least! I promise that Michonne will be worth four hours of your spare time.
Yes ... sorry, but it's was stupid.
That would be a more difficult decision to make.
I will save Javier.
I just remembered that I did actually watch PewDiePie's Let's Play of the game, and it was interesting, it just didn't grab my attention as much as the previous seasons.
Ah, gotcha! Though PewDiePie, in my opinion, didn't do it justice.
I don't think we will have to choose as Clementine, I think we'll be as Javier.
