  • I truly hope that Clementine losing her finger is completely determinate. I don't want it to be an obvious choice made by the player like "give the finger" to the guy who has you tied up. It's obvious that it'll lead to her finger coming off. I want to make a choice and be completely blind sided by the fact that it leads to her loosing her finger.

  • Nah, peaches and beans flavor. ;)

    Nah, walker gut flavor.

For newer Telltale series starting with New Frontier, we are revising how we handle people making threads for Let's Plays, Live Streams, etc.

Rules for sharing Live Streams/Let's Play videos on the Forums

    • Have prior participation in the community before posting. Users who only sign up to advertise will have their thread locked and YouTube links removed.

    • Users get one collective thread to share videos for each Telltale Season/Miniseries. Each Telltale Episode is to have all videos related to it contained in one single post that can be updated with new videos, excluding special videos like reviews.

    • You can revive your thread from inactivity during a new episode release one time to promote your new videos. Outside of new episode releases, bumping your thread for notable new videos (like alternate choice consequences or reviews) is also okay.

      • If you have a minimum of 1,000 posts and you are making videos specifically for the forum community, this is an exception and you get to freely bump your thread with individual posts for new video uploads.
    • Stay on topic and make genuine posts - posts that just "bump" the topic so a streamer or Let's Player gets more exposure will be deleted.

    • Be careful with spoilers. If video thumbnails have spoilers, use the Flag option (upper right corner of each post) to mark your own posts as Spoilers.

    NOTE for YouTube/Twitch Personalities:

For self promotion, a blurb describing and linking to your channel in the main post of your thread is allowed. However, Community Members are here for discussion of the Telltale series they are playing; most of them are not interested in external channel events, promotions, etc. Making your thread (or your posts) encourage genuinely interesting discussion among users is a good way to keep your thread active in a way that follows the rules.

The wait is almost over! We finally made it! It's been a long time coming, but we're finally close enough to release to make the Episode

We will repost this closer to the launch, but just as a general heads up, we are revising our rules on sharing Let's Plays, Live Streams, etc for new Telltale series starting with Walking Dead New Frontier.

Quick Summary: Instead of us having one thread for all people to post videos, we are doing a mix of the old and new rules. For each Telltale Series/Miniseries, you get to make one collective thread to post all of your Let's Plays, Livestreams, etc from that Telltale Series. For each new Episode release, you get to bump the thread once. You get to make one post for each new episode release to share all of your Live Streams/Let's Plays for that episode. Beyond that, you have to rely on genuine community discussion to keep your thread active.

This is not super relevant now, but I am posting this early for more exposure:

Rules for sharing Live Streams/Let's Play videos on the Forums

    • Have prior participation in the community before posting. Users who only sign up to advertise will have their thread locked and YouTube links removed.
    • For each Telltale Season or Miniseries, each user is allowed to make one collective thread here for their entire YouTube/Twitch channel. For each new Telltale episode release, you are allowed to bump your thread one time to promote your new videos. (Regular community discussion is okay and does not count as bumping unless the thread has not been active recently.) You get one dedicated post to show all of your new Live Streams and/or Let's Play videos for that Telltale episode.
    • Outside of new episode releases, bumping your thread for notable new videos (like alternate choice consequences or reviews) is also okay. If you already linked to a Live Stream of a playthrough, do not later post videos from that same playthrough in a new post as an excuse to bump your thread.
    • All users must keep posts on topic and make genuine contributions to the conversation - posts that just "bump" the topic so a streamer or Let's Player gets more exposure will be deleted.
    • Please be sensitive to spoilers and use spoiler tags when appropriate. If video thumbnails have spoilers, use the Flag option (upper right corner of each post) to mark your own posts as Spoilers.

If you have strong amounts of forum participation (minimum of 1,000 posts) and you are creating a series of videos/Live Streams to do something fun in particular for the Telltale Forums to enjoy (meaning you are not already a YouTube/Twitch personality), some of the above rules are an exception and you are allowed to bump your thread for individual new video releases or Live Streams.

    NOTE for YouTube/Twitch Personalities:

For self promotion, a blurb describing and linking to your channel in the main post of your thread is allowed. However, when you bump your thread to revive it around the time of a new episode release, you should keep new posts focused only on videos directly related to the Telltale series of the Forum you are posting on. Forum Members are here for discussion of the Telltale series they are playing; most of them are not interested in external channel events, promotions, or other Let's Plays for different games. Making your thread (or your posts) encourage genuinely interesting discussion among users is a good way to keep your thread active in a way that follows the rules and benefits the forum community both ways.

If you are a YouTube/Twitch personality, you are allowed one individual post in your thread for each new Telltale episode to promote all Live Streams and/or Let's Play chapters for that particular Telltale episode. Do not make individual posts for different Let's Play chapters from the same Telltale episode.

  • They've been "advertising." It's just that TWD is TellTale darling child series. Since Season 1 concluded, all they really have to do is say "The Walking Dead" + "more" + "soon" and the hype train generates itself. It's not like all their new series where they have to advertise in advance to get it in the spotlight. It's kind of like how a popular artist can just release an album unannounced or a celebrity can just release drop a clothing line out of the blue. Or imagine if Valve or Sega just released Half-Life 3 or Sonic Adventures 3 unexpectedly. Servers would crash all over the world. The internet has allowed for this to happen whereas this would have never worked in any generation prior. It's weird but welcome to the new generation.

The moment the give a release date, the name will literally advertise itself through hype. Not to mention, IGN and Greg Miller will spam the internet in rage with TWD news. I'm sure TellTale knows what they are doing with their crown jewel, especially on iteration #4.

Way sooner than that. Really. Way sooner sooner soon

  • It's kind of weird that we don't want our loved characters to die in TWD. Because if they don't, they're just going to suffer even more than if they did.

I don't want anyone to suffer unnecessarily.

  • I know what you mean, I don't think it will be this scenario exactly considering Clementine loses her ring finger, but yeah.

Although the mental image of Clementine giving someone the finger, only for it to be the wrong finger, did give me a good chuckle.

  • Am I the only one that thinks its a little bit weird how Clementine always talks about Lee, and how he took care of her. But she barely ever talks about her parents or Christa and Omid.

Even though she was with Christa and Omid for a lot longer then she was with Lee for.

I was just wondering if anyone else thought that?

  • Lee left a bigger impact on her.

    And on us...

  • Maybe it could be possible that during their time together, Clementine was still grieving about what happened in Savannah with Lee and her parents? Clementine being on her own at the opening shot of the episode and not really engaging in conversation with Omid and Christa could account for that. Therefore she never indulged in any memorable moments with them because she wasn't really herself.

As for the 16 months with Christa, I would assume after Omid's death she was a different person entirely, and even more so after whatever happened with Omid Jr. From what can be gathered, the time that Clementine and Christa had together wasn't good at all. They were (as far as we know) completely cut off from outside contact, constantly struggling for survival, and generally didn't seem to have a positive relationship. This could explain why Clementine can act so bitter in Season 2 as opposed to the Clementine in Season 1, because for over a year she was never really exposed to anything else, and so doesn't exactly associate her time with Christa with that much fondness.

  • I mean its only 25 bucks or 5 bucks per an episode.

Should I even buy? I mean I'm saving up for a new TV

  • Or if you're from down-under, it's $50, and $8.50 per episode.

Which is kind of a lot when you don't have a job.
