There's also her being a bit impatient about Glenn insisting they get to Irene's hotel room.
Also, some probably hate her for: Hype Backlash(she is kinda among the more popular characters), Die for our ship(for being a potential love interest for Lee), telling off Lilly, making Larry look badworse, slipping up on checking for batteries, being picked over Doug, and wearing a dress.
Do you mind explaining why? I can't see why one would hate Carley, honestly. She saves your life various times and the only bad thing she ev… moreer did (if it can even be considered 'bad') was telling Lilly that she was being an asshole in an agressive manner.
Because she's a bland character and also very, very nosey. And unlike Doug, she isn't selfless. I am, and always will be, a member of the...

Unfortunately, most of the group does, not just her and Larry. Clementine, Lilly, Kenny, Katjaa, Ben(sorta), Vernon, and the Stranger all express some degree of concern when they learn about it. Like it or not, having a convicted murderer on the team unnerves people and makes them question your morality and wonder whether they and their loved ones are truly safe in your presence. While we, the audience, are probably under the impression that Lee is a good person who made a crucial mistake, there's no denying that he's killed before and could potentially kill again when they least expect it.
She was trying to advise you that it might be time to tell people about your past, because Lilly was on the verge of telling everyone. And she was right, if you don't follow her advise and tell Clem and Kenny they get pissed. She wasn't calling you out for it, she was trying to help. She even mentions that it doesn't define who Lee is and that people probably wouldn't care so far in the apocalypse.

Lee. His wife cheated on him and in a fit of pure rage he killed her lover. He took responsibility, and was willing to go to prison then some crap happens. Now I would've took it as a sign that I'm free, but for what? At the end of the day, your wife has been traumatized, and now your family's gone. You discover that, and don't really have time to grieve over it. That shit really got to me. Even with his brother, you have Doug interrupting, "Are you done yet?!" After that there's Carley, goddamn it... Goddamn it!
Clementine. There were times in season 1 where she was starting to get on my bad side in episode 4, where she kept disobeying or backtalking. But it's because I didn't take time to really think of her POV. She was a kid, left with a babysitter who turned into a walker, with a stranger, etc etc we know the story. Anyway, it wasn't until the end of episode 5 that I got to reflect on all of that. Unfortunately I knew Lee was going to pass so I didn't cry, but had I not known the ending, everything would have hit me hard.
Duck. Before I could really get invested into the game, I tried to have Duck die in the first episode. Then when the walkers grabbed him a second time, I was cheering. Even in the store when Larry was talking about Duck being bit, I was like, "Oh shit" as Lee. Hoping that YES, we can get rid of this annoying ass kid. But hey, in the following episodes I got more into the characters. I stopped being such an asshole, and really played it as if I was in that role. Anyway, I realized that Duck is a kid. A normal kid in this fucked up situation, who's not too scared because he believes we will protect him. But time after time he's put in these life or death situations until his luck runs out, and he's bit. He didn't even die right away, he died a slow and painful death - even witnessing his mother commit suicide. That really bothered me. It didn't even feel forced, it just felt like this kid had the worst luck. I hated Katja after that. I understand wanting to do something that drastic, but NOT in front of your son. NOT before helping your son. So Duck went from being a character I kept wanting to die, to a character that broke my heart for dying.
Ben. When I did an alternate playthrough where I saved him, he got to say his part. I didn't realize that this kid had a family too. I spent all that time being so fed up with him that when he died I was happy. I only got upset that Kenny said it in front of Clementine so carelessly. But yeah, Ben's been through some tough shit, poor guy.
Kenny. I don't even need to explain too much. The man lost his family, people shit on him all the time, especially in season 2. He was right about so many things like Wellington, the truck, Jane, Bonnie, etc. I'm not saying Kenny's a saint, but it's like people didn't take time to understand him. His true colors show in the ending where Clementine chooses to go with him to Wellington. He's just wanted AJ and Clementine safe. Seeing that Journey from season 1 to season 2's finale? Man, we NEED more characters that survive! We don't need to kill off a character or have to disappear every damn episode.
Nick. I know the guy has a good heart for sure. He means well, but he's just a fuck up. He makes mistakes, but I can forgive him because he's honestly trying. I can feel and see that in his actions. He's just immature, silly, and I kinda gathered that from Pete's story.
Sarah. This girl had something wrong with her mentally; some have said it was PTSD. Whatever it is, it was clear from the start. I didn't think she was stupid, I thought she was a child. Duck and Sarah behaved more like children than Clementine to be honest about it. I typically don't like kids, but I feel that natural urge to protect them when they need help. So I wanted to protect Sarah by almost any means; even when she was talking back and being rude. That's just how kids can be sometimes. What broke me was her first death scenario because that's what I got. I left her behind because I figured if I was truly in that position - unable to move her on my own, risking my life and others' then I gotta go if it seems hopeless. Man, Sarah...
Jane. So much like my decision with leaving Sarah behind, Jane did the same with her sister. I understood how difficult it might have been for her to do that. Then had an idea of why she's so determined to go with this lone wolf gimmick of hers. She's afraid of bonding with someone and going through that pain again, I'm assuming. Even though Jane's a tough, smart, and tactical bad ass she was still afraid of something so simple. That made me start getting attached to her. Sure, it was annoying to have her keep comparing Clementine to her sister, or bringing up her sister at every God given chance, but I get it. I understand now, Jane, it's okay... go to sleep.
When and how did Vernon find out Lee was a murderer?
Now that you mention, maybe he didn't find out Lee was convicted, but I do know he shows disappointment should let Ben drop. It was literally the one (accidental) bad thing between us in my second playthrough.
They used to. After they were disappointed, they didn't mention it that much after that.
Yeah, Lilly in particular is pretty chill if you're on decent terms with her. And I think Kenny openly puts it behind him after a certain point. Clementine, Carley, Katjaa, and Ben(if ever truly finds out) don't really care that much outside of the initial shock.
The only people who really hold it against you off the top of my head are Larry(whose a hardnosed hothead to begin with) and the Stranger(who's insecure about his own mistake and is specifically angry about Lee endangering Clementine). Not 100% on Lilly, though.
Vernon

As for the rest you said, that's understandable. But as I said before, it was never much of a problem for me.
Speaking of that, how did Lilly find out Lee was a killer? She had no proof, and I don't recall Larry or anyone else telling her that...
You know what, that is something of an inconsistent plot hole as far as I know: if you tell her, she simply realizes that it must be why Larry was so against you, at least on friendly playthroughs. However, should you consider kicking her out(and possibly even if you let her stay, idk) she tells everyone as proof that she's willing to forgive, which implies that she knew for some time.
Unless we're meant to assume that Larry kept a diary or something.

I feel bad for pretty much anyone that's gone through some kind of tragedy. Even if he/she is a bad person who wronged me in some way, I still feel sorry for them. Don't forgive them, but I do pity them.
I'm glad that I saw I already commented on this before I started writing, however I did leave out someone. Lilly; I was so mad when she did what she did, but I understand. No matter how against Larry I was, you can't erase the fact that she had to witness the death of her own father. People grieve in different ways, and it can mess with the mind. I'd be one hell of a hypocrite if I didn't acknowledge that Lilly was obviously traumatized by the lost of her father. I saw what Kenny went through, and I don't think it's fair to measure whose deaths are more tragic – that shouldn't matter. Either way someone lost a family member, and that can hurt them for the rest of their life. I originally kept Lilly with us for the group since she was a good shot, but if I had to choose again, I'd do it in order to forgive her – offer another chance.

Lilly most of all. Love Kenny or hate Kenny...there is no doubt he destroyed her world. All because Kenny would not will not can not see things from other people's points of view.
Larry was her reason for surviving. Keeping her father alive was just as important to her as keeping Katjaa and Duck was to Kenny. But of course when Kenny's needs bump against your needs...you lose because in his world it is his way and no other way.
Still she went on, only to lose the motel because of someone betraying the group. It was at this moment that Lilly was completely broken. And sadly someone died.
Someone should have taken her weapon and stopped her. But everyone was dealing with the aftermath of losing all that they had known for the past few months.
And then..we left her alone and unarmed. How fast the world turns on you. Just a few months earlier she was just another person you may have met in the grocery line, looking at magazines as you waited your turn.
Lilly is perhaps the most tragic figure...and I hope we see her again one day.

I have to say I find it funny I can almost always guess what characters someone dislikes by liking Kenny.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Larry or Arvo on your disliked list considering Kenny vehemently hated both of them too.
I'm neutral on Larry. While I can't say I didn't dislike him, I actually choose not to kill him. Me and Kenny haven't ALWAYS been on good terms. As Kenny said in S1E5, "I spent a lot of nights hating this guy's guts."
Arvo I'm also neutral on, if only because he was so forgettable. I didn't steal from him, and quite honestly I forget how I handled that whole situation.
Edit: I suppose I also forgot to mention Ben, who I dropped from the belltower at his own request. I left Lilly behind after she killed Carly.

She was only eight when her parents left and never came back, her babysitter went insane and tried to kill her, she nearly eat a person, witnessing someone get shot straight through the head, her friend being bitten and later dying along with his mother, this old guy telling her she's going to die, being trapped behind bars with a walker trying to eat her, being told that they're going to find her parents and then later being told that they can't look for her parents, getting kidnapped by some creepy dude she thought was his friend, having to shoot him or see him get choked to death right in front of her, seeing her parents as walkers right next to her and then a few minutes later she learns that her guardian has been bitten and she has to either leave him or shoot him.
Wow, I just pretty much typed out all of season one, sorry about that.
Besides Clementine and Lee, Nick. He was just a depressed guy who made mistakes, and I can relate to him in that aspect. I pretty much fell in love with a fictional video game character when the episode A House Divided was released.

Yes, she wouldn't shut up about me being a convicted murderer.

Basically everyone as they've had to face the apocalyptic new world and some had been forced to abandon their humanity, but more specifically:
I think that's the purpose of it...
Lee. His wife cheated on him and in a fit of pure rage he killed her lover. He took responsibility, and was willing to go to prison then some crap happens. I have to say I find it funny I can almost always guess what characters someone dislikes by liking Kenny.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Larry or Arvo on your disliked list considering Kenny vehemently hated both of them too.
Even though this isn't a like/dislike thread.
Carley, Kenny, Jane, Molly and the protagonists
Obvious answer: Clementine
Clementine, definitely.
Ben, Arvo, Michelle, Doug, Sarita, Sarah, Duck, Lilly, Literally 90% of the characters tbh.
For a second, I thought this was the disdain thread
Ben is a normal guy who made the wrong decision for the right reasons. He isn't a BAD person just a stupid one.
Bonnie is judged out of context because she use to be a junkie. I get that she made shitty choices. Blame her not the drugs.
I felt bad for Arvo until he shot Clem.
The Stranger, Ben Paul, Kenny, Lee, Clem, Molly, and Vernon.
