Were Christa and Omid more dead weight than The Cabin Group?

Idg why people like these two characters, imo they added nothing to the series, neither did The Cabin Group but least they weren't dead weight, Luke had sword fighting skills, Carlos was a doctor, Nick was a decent gun shooter etc.

We don't know what skills Rebecca had since we've only seen her pregnant.

  • Omid and Christa together took care of Clementine more than twice as long as Lee, and Christa again 16 months after that. I'd say they've proven their worth by probably protecting Clementine from much more shit than Lee, even if it wasn't on screen.
If anything, I'm annoyed that Clem constantly mentions Lee, but almost never Christa or Omid. It comes off as kind of ungrateful honestly.

Well Lee obviously had more of an impact on her and don't forget, she probably always holds onto the regret that she felt that she got him killed when she was taken by the Stranger. Also we don't know what Clem and Christa/Omid's relationship was like during their months together, including the 16 months. Perhaps they took care of Clem but paid more attention to each other as couples do. When Omid died, it was obvious Christa became colder towards Clem. Not saying that Omid and Christa didn't like Clem but just saying that there are many reasons why Clem didn't feel as strongly about them as she did with Lee.

  • No way! Omid & Christa pulled their weight. The cabin group felt like a group of immature individuals who were at a lost. Venting to an 11 year old, and treating her like she was their leader at times before a connection even began. The only people of value in the group was Pete and Luke, imo. I felt the others were incapable (Sarah) or incompetent (Carlos, Nick, Alvin). I really did not like the cabin group besides Sarah & Luke. I did not hate them, I just didn't respect them - I blame it on episode 1 and 2. I hope TTG does a significantly better job at introducing new characters in season 3.

  • Omid for sure was dead weight in S2. Get it, cause he's dead. Okay I'll see myself out.

  • What about her parents and family? She never mentions anyone that she knew before the outbreak. Does Clem have grandparents, cousins, or friends from school?

  • Considering Christa is objectively the best guardian for Clementine (just from objective standpoint), keeping her alive the longest at 16 months. No, they were far beyond dead weight. Even Omid probably did a good job taking care of her before he died.

  • Please define "dead weight," @Joshua1991.

  • Were Omid and Christa, the same Omid and Christa that took care of Clementine after Lee's death, more dead weight then a group of target-wearing expendables who only progressed the flimsy plot by dying in more and more laughable ways?

    Don't be ridiculous.

  • They were unnecessary and average characters but I wouldn't call them dead weight.

  • They were dead weight once the S2 writers didn't really care.
