Wow this has to be the most active thread on the forums. Anyway I'm kind of disappointed the season pass disc is not until February because the box art looks amazing but I can't wait to play episode 1 I'm probably not going to get the episode until the 22nd anyway and spoilers are so hard to avoid.
Has anyone noticed that "The Walking DEAD" logo has gotten increasingly more decayed as the seasons progress? In season 1 the word "DEAD" was almost perfectly intact; in season 2 the word "DEAD" was much more decayed with what looks like blood splatters and such; in this upcoming season, the word "DEAD" is a little bit more decayed around the "E."
I know the show does this as well, and I think it's a nice touch as the world becomes progressively more decayed.
Again with Lee Jane and Kenny? Lee is dead. If you left him, he turned. If you shot him, he didn't. The ONLY way I could see Lee returning ALIVE is in another Lee flashback like they did in season 2.
Jane and Kenny are DETERMINATE. Each player has a unique ending. Either Jane is dead and you're with Kenny. Kenny is dead and you're with Jane. You left Jane/Kenny and are alone. Jane and Kenny are BOTH dead and you're alone. Or you're in wellington. With them being determinate, it'd be impossible to place 1 or both on the cover or even in the trailer, because it'd make them cannon regardless of player choice. They gotta be careful how they show this stuff.
Should I watch this first look coming next Thursday? Give me reasons why I should because I NEED TO WATCH IT BUT MY BODY'S LIKE NO WAIT TILL RELEASE BUT I HAVE TO LIKE OMG HELP ME
It doesn't matter too much, i knew it was possible for people to find it eventually anyway but i personally decided to keep it quiet for the surprise. There isn't too much longer left to wait now so it should be fine.
I think it's hinting Javier or Clem COULD live OR die determinately.... I mean we assumed Lee wouldn't die cause he was the player character, but he died in the end. And in season 2 we weren't too worried bout Clem cause we knew she wouldn't die no matter what. So since this game is taking a 'new angle' ..... maybe we ain't safe anymore?
Edit: Also realized it emphasizes you're playing as Javier and you meet Clementine. Also, Job stated you'll play both but not at the same time. Hinting that Clem play may be flashbacks only. So the every choice you make could be your last ... implies Javi dying more than Clem... cause she can't die in a flashback .....
When family is all you have left... how far will you go to protect it? Four years after society was ripped apart by undead hands, pockets of… more civilization emerge from the chaos. But at what cost? Can the living be trusted on this new frontier? As Javier, a young man determined to find the family taken from him, you meet a young girl who has experienced her own unimaginable loss. Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.
We finally have some kind of indication of Javier's age? Many think he's in his early 20's or late 30's. I guess he might be on the younger side.
your fates are bound together in a story where EVERY choice you make could be your last.
Hinting that Clem might die? Haha Telltale we're not that gullible.

it has already damaged their reputation and probably their repeat purchase sales in general in the general community tbh just one look around and it's either aw the engine is trash or aww they advertise choices and then they don't matter etc
It kinda annoys me how they advertise the game like this.
Me too. Honestly after TWDS3, I'm not buying anymore TTG for this reason, and then some. Unless S3 is some kind of miracle where the choices actually matter, little to no technical difficulties (they should of learned how to fix this by now with batman) an amazing story with all the time they've had + a delay, then I might consider buying another TTG after TWD. But as a longtime loyal fan who has been unfortunately lied to by their incredibly flawed advertising and false information about games ("Choices matter") I can't put up with it anymore. I love you telltale but this is an abusive relationship.
If they're going to focus in on the choice aspects when it comes to advertising, they should advertise the part that's the most truthful-- which would be a tailored narrative that adapts (to some degree) based on what the player does. Say what you will about the choices, but the narrative most definitely adapts; if you kill someone, the game does recognize that. If you say something, then say something else later, characters will call you out on it. That much is true. Things in the narrative change based on what the player does. Just usually not to a significant degree.
Point being: something like "experience a story tailored by your actions" is more truthful than "a story where every choice you make could be your last". They should advertise and promote the game by saying more of the former. That would be much more truthful advertising than how they do it currently, wouldn't you think?
Then again, advertising is a bit of a shady business altogether-- it relies on making things sound cooler than they usually are. I mean, how do you get someone to buy your product if it doesn't sound appealing enough? 90% of all advertisements are bullshitting you in some way, shape, or form.

Eh, I don't know, TTG feels more like that person you're waiting for at the movies who keeps saying thery're around the corner. Then you keep calling and they say they're very very very very close but they're still not there. Then after they never showed up at the movies for over a month, they call again wanting to make more plans as if what happened a month ago never happen.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I love you telltale but this is an abusive relationship
Hey now, I wouldn't say it's that bad
I'd say it's more like a friend tha… moret orders pizza when he comes over, and says that he'll pay for it, but he never does
You enjoy the pizza, and he never orders it unless you say yes, but you can't help but get a bit pissed at him for never paying for the fucking pizza

By "choices matter", do you mean that choices have a significant impact? (Such as determinant characters playing a large role in the story) or just more outcomes depending on choices you made in previous episodes?
Or neither? I've never really played a choice-based game where choices actually matter. (InFamous doesn't count, does it?)
So, I don't really know what people mean when they say that.
It kinda annoys me how they advertise the game like this.

Guys, if i uninstall The Walking Dead Season 2 (Steam) right now, will my save carry over to TWD: A New Frontier? Gotta make some space for other games too

last time i checked season two didnt have steam cloud save or anything (tho it might have changed now idk) cause it messed with saves in season 1 so no it wouldn't but you could just try to find the save file and save a back up of it somewhere else that way you still have it and you can just uninstall the game

Your saves are saved in your "Documents" folder in the folder called "Telltale games".
"C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\telltale games"
So you should be able to uninstall season 2 without it deleting your saved games but i would recommend making backup of the Telltale games folder just to be safe.

I've restarted my console and still in season 2, the only option I have is add to basket. Is there anyone who downloaded it ? or we have to wait till 20th Dec ? Sorry for silly question but it's my first time with preorder bonuses from telltale ;-)

Just a reminder - please keep posts on topic. Don't make posts that are off topic, filler, etc.

I MUST see it. I'm going insane waiting!
I hope they use that title for all versions or don't change it last second. I like that title.

Yep. It's awesome artwork. And so realistic with what's going on and the passing of time.
By season 5 this series will be called "THE WALKING "
Oh my god! A part of the preview for December 1st leaked! It shows Javier all on his own!
Apparently he's not in that too much of a hurry to search his family though...
Damn he's really let himself go.
I can't be the only one who thinks Javier looks like an owl...
[removed]
Thanks?
don't mention it
At this point I just wanna know who she is.

Then it'll be "Valking" and the "ead" will have been erased.
Rashid and Vanessa.
Fuck yeah I knew somebody would do that. Such a majestic beast
Somebody gets it
oh god no

Alright thank you guys, i think i'll keep it. Gotta play it save!
You need to download it from the PSN website. It doesn't work via your console for some reason.
The Walking Dead had a story about the bond between a man and a girl before TLOU even came out! Darn Last of Us, more like The Plagiarized of Us...
Yeah, they've got 5 Episodes so only the very last choice in the game can be the last choice we make... duh...
