  • I may be wrong but I see Javier and David as those brothers who are completely opposite. David seems like a hardass and Javier is a big softie.

Yeah for sure, just wondering what could have happened to seperate them. The VA for David sounds familiar, I can't place him though.

  • Been rewatching the new trailer over and over again. The game looks so fucking good I'm so excited! Less than three weeks to go!

  • The logo has changed

  • I thinnk that Episode 1 will be all about Javier and his family and Episode 2 will be how Javier and Clem will met at the end of the episode :D anyways did anyone notice that Javier have handscuff while Clementine kill the walker? enter image description here

  • Wow that is a big surprise 2 episode on one day :)

    super excited

  • Why would Clementine take Javier hostage?

  • Maybe he shot at her? Maybe he was together with people who threatened her? Anything could have happened.

Why would Clementine take Javier hostage?

  • Maybe he stole something from her or something like that

    It's called speculation¿

Man, I just don't know. The character designs for the first two seasons had an ever-so-slightly cartoonish exaggeration to them, which somehow averted the uncanny valley problem. But here, they seem to have taken a more "grounded" approach, and unfortunately, that kind of thing just tends to bring uncanny valley right out into the open. The humans aren't SUPPOSED to resemble the zombies, unless it's meant to be a thematic point about how much the lines between the living and the dead have blurred. But I doubt it.

  • What if he played on that team? That would be a cool connection. Javier can mention how he hasn't seen that logo in years.

Hopefully he asks Clem about her hat

  • I'm thinking she found him like that and out of precaution she didn't free him as whoever restrained him might have had a good reason for it.

Why would Clementine take Javier hostage?

  • Lopez!!

It is a good thing I learned Spanish from this guy. To those who get the reference.

  • I feel like she's working for someone and she was sent out to get him. Why else would she have handrestrains and drag him along with her.

Why would Clementine take Javier hostage?

  • Furthermore, why does Clem suddenly look black at the end of the vid? I understand some children get darker as they grow older, but in all the screenshots and even on the cover of the game Clem has a white skin tone, so I don't know where they're going with this.

Clem is black (TellTale confirmed it years ago, let's not debate it. She's not mixed, she just Black American albeit lightskinned - just in case anyone needed to know). She tanned up from Season 1 to Season 2. She probably tanned up some more between Seasons 2 and 3 as she aged (my family is black, and we have great examples of this). The teaser and screen shots have have been from early models considering Javier's model changed to show facial hair. The cinematography in TellTale's updated engine probably played a role as well. She's most likely not as dark as the trailer suggest and not as light as the teaser/screenshots suggests.

I think it's fine. She looks like a teenager. The design team seemed to follow the lineage of her design over the years. Our best look is going to come from us actually playing the game, so don't fret just yet.

Well performance wise it seems to run pretty smooth. But i guess we just have to wait and see. I can play every telltale game with constant 60fps. Batman is the first one giving me trouble, framerate is all over the place. Let's hope we can avoid that with this game.

  • What Kevin Bruner said at the VGA causes me to believe that out choices at the end of Season 2 will play a major role in this scene alone. I would not be surprised if what you said is close to correct, if not on point.

  • I would like it all at once. It would be a bit disorienting jumping back and forth from flashbacks throughout the season.

  • Didn't she do that as one option for killing a zombie on the bridge to the ski resort with Luke?

I noticed Clem used the trick Jane shows to her in Ep 4 to kill the zombie.

  • I just wanted to make a nice comment, not start the "Judge Clementine's skin" war

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Clem's dialogue in the trailer is determinant. It sounds frighteningly similar to Nick's nihilistic speech from episode two of season two, and I've always tried to make my version of Clementine the one holdout against all the cynicism in the TWD universe. It's perfectly possible to be a hardened survivor without becoming a complete sociopath.

I'm not sure it's actually in the game at all. It's the exact same line that she can say to Luke in season 2, so it might just be a placeholder to not give away what she actually responds.

Since they split episode 1 to 2 episodes there is a good chance of having 6+ episodes :D

  • Nope, there's only five and these are the first two episodes.

  • That could easily be interpret as no one play through Season 2 and have the same feel of experience.

No, we are going to have 6 episodes, the 1+2 are not different episodes, is just the 1st split up in two parts.

  • All in one episode, if they are doing that with Javier they should do the same with Clementine.

  • Yeah I think that too, maybe a group took Alvin + Kenny/Jane as prisoners and sent Clem to get Javier for X reason to give them back.

I feel like she's working for someone and she was sent out to get him. Why else would she have handrestrains and drag him along with her.

  • It wasn't spoilery?
The whole scene with Javier's parents was strong as hell, is going to be a very important moment in Javier's history, now for me is totally ruined.

  • Maybe big in the new Batman style where episodes can last 1 hour and 7 min

I still want to know, what they mean with "the Premiere was to big." How big? And is it big on Telltale's new Standard, where the Episodes were like 1h 45min - 2h long or to big in their Old one, where every Episodes were like 3 hours long.

  • No, is because they are the same episode split in 2, the thought of the episode as just one but it got too long.

Wolf among us without playing Episode 2 after Episode 1 is ruined, well the same could happen to Walking Dead, though all of telltale game depends on keep playing each episode, there are exceptions, for example in Walking Dead 1, the only episodes really related are Ep 4 - 5. 1 - 2 -3 there is always a time jump.

Plot twist. The reason why Telltale named the first two episodes Ties That Bind Part 1 and 2 is because they couldn't think of five new three worded titles.

  • Since it seems Clementine is going to appear late in those episodes, of course people will want to finish them as quickly as they can to see Clem again.

I'm kind of tempted to only play the first episode and then come here to say what I think will happen next, then maybe the next day play the

  • Shocking surprise...she is one of the villains!

Why would Clementine take Javier hostage?

  • Spaced out, in order not to fuck the tone and pacing.

  • I wonder if the PC platform includes both Windows and Mac OS. It's not the first Telltale has left us Mac users waiting after the game release till we can actually play it.
