  • I don't hate Javier...

    I hate his beard.

I wanna shave that fucker off so bad I lay awake at night restless thinking about it. I can literally hear that loud scratching sound you get when somebody scratches their beard whenever I look at that thing. HELP!

  • I'm guessing Kenny aggravated the shit outta you, then.

  • Nah. It's just we saw Javi without the beard for so long that suddenly now he has it, my brain is all 'wtf is that thing stuck on his face!?'

Also he has a nice j-jawline...

  • Yeah, admittedly it was jarring. Not to mention a little on the nose.

  • He's right. Season 2 sucked (Telltale's worst game), and it was mainly because Clementine sucked as a protagonist.

Maybe he's still playing because Season 1 was great, and he's hoping Season 3 will be closer to Season 1 in quality?

Slightly more shitty than season 1? Because it wasn't scored much lower than season 1. Why are you even still playing the games, then?

  • Strange how season 2 sucked and was Telltales worst game, despite being better received than nearly every game that followed, other than Tales from the Boardlands, and Clementines portrayal in particular received praise. Maybe you've got the concepts confused?

  • People who thought he looked better without it?

People who hate how much of a caricature it helps make him?

  • I don't like any of the Walking Dead game characters so I mean I'd think of Javier the same as I think of everyone else. I only like 3 of the characters and 2 of them are dead.

  • Yeah, the repetitious nature of the material of The Walking Dead makes it nearly impossible to connect to anyone because of the super predictable story elements coupled with largely inconsistent character motives making it really difficult to care about anyone.

So far my excitement is lower than ever for the new season, it looks so lame so far. Between the trailer focusing on action segments rather then the actual characters, the promotional image looking hobbled together, and the fact we now will have most likely less cohesion because of the multiple character narrative paths... I just feel it'll be a flop.

No, there wasn't any confusion. Season 2 did suck and it was Telltale's worst game.

Just because something was popular does not necessarily mean it is good. See Justin Beiber & the Kardashians, if you need examples that aren't related to the Walking Dead.

  • Yea, except you're subjectively and objectively wrong. It wasn't just more popular than nearly all of Telltales games, it was critically received better than them as well. Again, you're just getting yourself confused trying to piece together an argument.

  • Well Telltale made the same decision as Bioware and went with Artistic Integrity over what the vast majority wanted.

    It backfired of course

There is no Javier. Only playable Clem.

What similar decision did Bioware make?

  • No, you're just getting mad because someone dislikes something you like.

Popularity also isn't the best measure for what is or isn't good. See Justin Beiber.

    Javi's character is determinant.
He can be a completely asshole, and you can decide to make him a very nice caring person.
Whatever u make him, he is a funny guy and for some reason he met Clem.
We soon will know about their fate together.

  • I'm getting mad? You're responding to a post from 4 months ago and don't understand the difference between a lot of people liking something, and a lot of people as well as professionals considering something good.

See common sense. But please keep repeating yourself, the failure is amusing.

  • "Portuguese and Spanish" is not the same as Cuban Spanish, which is what hes supposed to be speaking. As a person from Cuba and hears nothing but Cuban Spanish all day, ANF doesn't sound like Cuban Spanish whatsoever.
