i suggest everyone follow my lead and let telltale know they cant do stuff like this. if we dont start a revolution, they gonna keep taking this away from us. in season 4, they might remove the option to change resolution or have subtitles.
All due respect, this is a pretty bad overreaction.
There's no need to boycott Telltale over this.
Sure, it's not a decision I like, but it's whatever. We can deal with the lack of a rewind feature.
And I hate to break it to you, but a "revolution" isn't gonna do anything. All it'll do is ensure that you (and those who choose to follow you) will miss out on what could be a great story.
And as for the resolution/subtitle thing, they won't do that. They're both necessities (And no, the rewind feature, as convenient as it is, is not a necessity), and taking away subtitles could be classified as discrimination against the hard of hearing. I'm sure Telltale doesn't want that kind of backlash.
It's fine that you personally don't want to purchase the game anymore, but please don't try to incite people to boycott Telltale over something like this. I assure you, it's not worth it.

i was talking to people who are like me, and cant accept that telltale is doing this to there customers. everyone was against it once batman came out without rewind feature. that was several months ago so they had time to think this through and listen to fans.

Idk man whenever I feel like I've made a shitty decision, I just go back to the main screen and start the game from the last save point. I … morethink the rewind option was more important when the episodes were longer. I definitely understand why people are upset about it, tho
I understand why you're upset. I am as well. But inciting a boycott isn't gonna achieve anything.
If it were to become a thing, it'd only make the community backlash become less of an issue for Telltale. The complaints would fade along with the customers.
If you want to try to change things, give constructive criticism and make your voice heard in a civil manner, rather than getting ready to jump ship as soon as they do something you don't like.

yes and he also told me that those two episodes together were about same length as 1 episode from first two seasons. i dont know what telltale is trying to do here. worst thing is some people think that all of this is okay and keep defending them.
next thing you know, ppls will start praising telltale for making episodes shorter because it will be easier to replay episodes now there is no REwind.
you're acting like you wont have time to replay the episodes once in an entire month, so you won't have two sets of 3 hours free in said month? but sure, go ahead don't buy the game and don't find out what ANY of the choices do at all. Makes sense

What the fuck?! I thought two episodes together were 3 hours. You know, each episode is 90 minutes. If Telltale really did that, everyone is going to be really angry.

i hope dan290786 didnt got banned for what i think he did. if this is a fan forum where youre not allowed to critisize decisions that do nothing but make game worse, then it should be said out loud by moderators and/or telltale staff.
would you buy gta 6 if they removed open world feature? because thats what removing the rewind feature for episodic choice based games is comparable to.. at least in my mind.
maybe, if you talk to EVERYONE and explore every single corner in hubs. but i remember watching michonne playthrough that was finished entire episode under one hour. seems like same thing will be with season 3.

Don't worry, it seems like the episodes are indeed going to be 90 minutes each. That's what a lot of the early viewers have said, at least (from what I've seen).

The open world aspect is GTA, though.
The rewind feature isn't the core of a Telltale game.
The true core is the story, characters, and universe surrounding them. Yeah, the lack of a rewind feature is disappointing, but you need to calm down. Again, I say this with all due respect. I one hundred percent understand why you're upset, and I'm in the same boat as you. But this isn't worth getting all worked up over.
Besides, judging a game before its release is never a good idea.
Just relax and see how the finished product is. Once it's out, you can judge it all you want.

I'm not saying he lied, I'm just saying that there's no concrete evidence that the episodes are gonna be that short, and it's my understanding that the episodes are longer than that.
Again, there's no concrete evidence to support either claim, but I'm choosing to remain optimistic.
7 classes is just my highschool. I'm also in college so 7+ 4 college classes. I'm doing that while staying ahead with my community service hours and my job. It's a pain in my ass.
As a person who is currently taking 7 classes with a job
7 classes, Jesus! I did that too in high school. I failed behind on community service hours and units my senior year. I know it sucks.
A game that is supposed to be about traveling consequence resonating in further episodes/games taking out it's "rewind" feature is nothing more then a removal of a crutch that only ever hurt it's statistic system.
Now, hopefully the choices actually matter to make the perma-synchronized choices actual feel authentic and impactful.
so you have problem with people changing their choices? why do some people want to dictate how others will play their game? if you dont want to use that feature, you dont have to. but its not ur place to say if others should modify their choices or not.

Well I have a problem with the rewind function not being there to I don't know how they could not include a simple feature but I managed just fine with batman that did not have rewind so I guess we will just wait.
It'll keep players on their feet. Knowing at any moment a choice you make will be an uphill battle to change is a good thing in the long run for the game's choice system to feel like there's any weight to it.
It'd also be cool to have an option in Dark Souls to insta-beat any boss or segment posing a challenge, but that's not the point of the game. And it shouldn't be the point of a choice-driven game where there's a constant timer making the decisions more imposing for the player to just say "eh, I didn't like that choice I made" and just go back five minutes.

Man, you're right, that'd be a bummer. I always play my first playthrough without changing anything, but then afterwards I wanna mix it up and see what would happen if I simply did that over this. Removing a rewind or chapter capability only degrades the replayability of a telltale game.
It's not about living with your choices. It's about seeing how things could have been and you can do this while still staying with your cho… moreices. I always stay with my original story. But, if choices will matter as much as they say it will in S3, I want to see the different routes the game could have taken without replaying the whole thing.

how do you know?
There was no rewind option for batman too. So I doubt they will have it for TWD

I agree. It's annoying but I'm definitely still buying the game. Just watching someone play is not enough.
thats probably gonna be their excuse. "we made episodes much shorter so there is no need for rewind feature"

yeah, i wont. and especially if it means going through all boring uneventful parts just to get to the point i find intereting for alternate choice.
i only said i wont BUY it. maybe i will watch a youtube playthrough instead?

He did get banned, I was just talking to him. He didn't do anything wrong
