Same! I tend to find it harder to replay the first season for some reason. Season 2 just seems "lighter" or something, but I definitely prefer it, although it didn't give me anywhere NEAR the feels that Season 1 did. EVERY. TIME. I. PLAY. IT!
Well I tend not to care about the length that much. I love some of Telltale's shortest episodes. Plus they don't really disappoint me much. Unlike most I actually loved and preferred season 2.

Actually, you don't HAVE to. I have read that it is quite possible that they are talking about the Windows phone, and since you are probably using Steam for your saves, you should be perfectly fine, but if I am wrong on both accounts, then you need to link you Telltale account to your Steam account, and then go onto TWD Season 2. Once there, on the title screen, select "Upload" on the lower right on the save file that you'd like to use, and this SHOULD upload to the Telltale website, and from there, you can "download" them into the Season 3 game directly, I believe. Check some other internet posts about it if you need more info though.

The reason why people give so much importance to episode length is because the shorter the episodes are, the less invested you get in characters, because you don't really have enough opportunities to just sit back and talk to them like you could all the time in season 1 for instances. I also liked season 2 but there were a lot of missed opportunities and characters not being fully developed because of time constraints (remember teaching Sarah how to defend herself which lead to nothing?). Also a lot of deaths were rushed, meaningless and/or didn't have the impact they should've (Nick, Luke, etc.). I don't want season 3 to be the same, which is why the first two episodes being barely over one hour is really disappointing. It's a new cast of characters and I speak for myself, but I need time to get attached to new characters. If the game doesn't give me enough opportunities for that, this season will be just like the Michonne series. A good entertainment for the most part, but nothing memorable.
