I agree, the writer did choose to kill off Kenny and Jane very abruptly for the sake of writing them out of the story, and to make Clementine and AJ the focus in the flashback sequences.
Writing is cheap as fuck ( both in flashbacks and the episodes itself ), I never thought they could do any worse than they did with Season 2. Well, I guess the hype was for nothing. Season 2 is a masterpiece comparing to what I have seen so far.
Those characters were already dead at the end of last season. Telltale needed just an excuse to completely get rid of them. I don't understand why people expectations were so high.
It's not that. It's that the way they died was poorly done. Jane hanging herself makes no sense. Why would she do that and let herself turn … moreinto a walker after what happened to her sister and it's not like her character to do that, and Kenny survives near impossible events and that's how he dies? Cop out. Im stating to think that maybe Kenny should've died in the alley way protecting Ben, or helping Christa. At least then, he would've died a heroic way. This was just telltale not knowing what to do so they just killed them off as cheaply as they could.
Damn, are the flashbacks awful. The only one I haven't seen yet is the one in Wellington, but the rest are terrible. Edgy bad-ass Clementine is even worse. Javier's story is okay I guess, even if very predictable. This is very underwhelming, and I didn't expect much this time. I guess I made the right call to wait for the first episodes before buying the season.
Telltale did write themselves into a corner with multiple endings, and then making a sequel.
Either one ending would be declared 'canon', which would go against the 'your choices matter' aspect, or every ending will be linked into one outcome regardless of what is chosen.
I figured that Telltale had to go with the latter option, since they probably didn't have enough resources to create more than one scene that highlights what the player had chosen for their ending, and not just kill off Kenny and Jane in their only scene in the sequel.
I can't wait to see how certain YouTubers react to her ending. There are some pretty major ones that went with her, and I wonder how many will call TellTale out for it.
You're missing the point. It's not about expectations, it's about the fact that the characters deaths were cheap poorly written. They screwed themselves by making too many endings and in the end, Kenny and Jane suffered for it.

been awhile since i've posted here. and the first thing i see is how bad of a death my favorite character got. :^)))
ngl, i've got low standards for new frontier now.

The only thing that could've done was to try and have one of the characters at the end, i dunno let's say they kill off Jane or Kenny and then a decision has to made at the end with wellington where you can go and leave Kenny or Jane, or stay with them. I figured that would've been good because you can have 2 endings which wouldn't be that bad. I always wanted to know how they would do season 3 with all these season 2 endings and they chose to take a cheap way. Sad.

all i even saw was what happened to jane and... i'm kinda angry right now. for some reason, i expected better.
i haven't even seen what happened to kenny. is it just as bad?

Oh yeah and did anyone see Kenny and Jane's models? God they look fucking gross. Can't believe Telltale dogged us like this. I first played the walking dead in 2012 when the first season dropped and to see this season makes me wonder why Telltale would do such a thing like this. I miss the days of Season 1. Hell I miss the days of Season 2, at least the writers put some effort into it. Fuck me, can't believe I got fucking dogged by Telltale. Good thing I didn't pre-order it. Waste of my fucking money, I just hope the season ends with Clementine waking up from a dream or some shit so that we're with Lee again. I'm very disappointed with Telltale, I always had trust in them. I wish the writers made it like Season 1 material. Well, at least there's 3 episodes left, hopefully Telltale can redeem themselves.

I've changed my phone, so I bought the season pass from season 2 again. Just because I really wanted to have a season 2 saved game, so MY CHOICES would matter on season 3. I'm playing episode 4 right now, but I don't even want to finish it, because I know my choices DIDN'T matter at all. What's the point of playing the end of the season 2 again if both characters have the most cheap deaths anyways? Gosh, I wish I could have my spended time and my money back.
Guess I'll use the "generator story mode" now.
All the hype got my upset. But we'll see... I still have SOME hope. Some.
(english isn't my first language, so I'm sorry for some mistakes lol)

If that's the case, then I'm glad that I shooed them away.
With all the endings they had in season 2, that's all they could do, with writing a new story with a new character, Kenny and Jane had no chance.
She was probably crushed by a piano or something. Would make more sense than Kenny's and Jane's deaths. You can't make this shit up.
Oh! So that's what the crane at Wellington is for.
This made me chuckle. Have a like.
I'm sorry but that is not Kenny nor Jane. Their models are worth crying over how bad they were designed. They also gave Jane giant boobies.
They do the same if you shoo them away.
>
You say that like its a bad thing

she was actually killed by a falling satelite from space

I didn't. But her ending is still undeniably bad.

Yeah because there are no use for them now...
Or maybe there are there are cannibals who can think of something out

Well i can think of a couple of good uses
I want to know what the type of person that liked these flashback deaths looks like.
So no matter what the family had always intended to steal from an adult, a child, and a baby.
Bastards.

Damn chill dude lol
Please lower them even further. Do not expect anything good.
oh ok

Considering she was pregnant, it's no surprise Jane's breast size has increased.
Probably worse, lmao. See for yourself on Youtube if you want.
A little better. He dies in a more heroic way but it still feels shitty and rushed the fuck up. His model is even worse.
She should have hired a surrogate. tisk tisk
All that I can say now:
Lee, my friend:
What I like is that it seems like a very important decision(the one where you let the family in or not),but actually there is literally no difference.

omf they really DID do that to her model.
telltale why....
LOL
I don't think they did anything to it. They probably started from scratch, took them like 10 minutes and went "yeah good enough"
I knew it'd be a big disappointment.
Where would she even find a surrogate in a zombie apocalypse?
