Yeah now you mention it, I do vaguely remember her talking to someone else. I don't remember ever hearing the person she was talking to though. Another thing is, if Edith was that selfish wouldn't she just try and save herself without worrying about Clementine and the baby? It just doesn't really add up.
I vaguely remember Edith having a radio and talking to a man at some point, but I'm not 100% certain.
If it is bad writing, then this jus… moret colossally bad writing. Wellington was an important destination in Season 2, but the payoff in Season 3 in the form of a flashback is just terrible.
Heh, I'm really glad I don't consider Season 2 actual canon because I legitimately don't care for that story otherwise I'd be pissed off beyond belief.

I haven't even played yet and these comments are making me depressed. Also I'm glad now that I chose to be alone at the end of S2 because no… morew I don't have to see Jane or Kenny die like that. And I really thought I was going to regret my ending choice. Thank God.
Also, not seeing the two of them looking so creepy in the new art style makes me even happier, phew.
So happy to see Telltale's joined the latest trend of sacrificing story for graphics. Nice going. I really would rather see every crease in Javier's shirt than have a continuation of my decisions in the past two seasons.
Seriously, what a let down. If they're going to give us decisions - it's only like Telltale's main selling point - at least have the balls to follow through with them. But no, toss aside major characters in lacklustre deaths. Who wrote this? The office janitor? Keep your game, I'll keep my money thanks.
It appears to me that Clem and AJ might be living in Edith's quaters. It would make sense of what she tries to say when Kenny interrupts her to say his thanks. She manages to say "I made the case that" so perhaps she suggested to the leadership to let Clem and AJ in on the condition that she share her space and supplies with them so they don't add to the burden for the rest of the community. Which would also explain partly while she didn't argue for Kenny's stay, she woouldn't be able to maintain a adult man and the two kids based on what she's got.
I forgot to add while I was typing that Edith may have had a heart and let only Clementine and AJ in, but wasn't willing to let Kenny in.
It doesn't really matter in the end, considering that Wellington is long gone by now.
I thought Clementine was going to treat Javier differently depending on your season two ending. But it's the exact same thing every time, what a let down.

Or maybe I'm just putting too much heart into her
Am I the only one that feels like those are very weird and unfitting deaths for both characters? Are you fucking telling me that Kenny can survive being swarmed by walkers but dies in a car crash?!?!? Also, what was all that development for Jane all for? With her budding relationship with AJ in Episode 5?!?!? So much wasted opportunity created out of pure laziness.
Well, it's better than Kenny committing suicide after finding out that he's pregnant with Luke's child...
...But in all seriousness, it did seem like the writers had wanted Kenny and Jane out of the story as soon as possible and didn't want to put in too much effort on how they will be written out.

I know right? I mean, you'd think they'd at least give Clementine the ability to talk her out of it by being there for her, not only do these deaths sound uncharacteristic for Kenny and Jane but I feel like Clementine would've done something to prevent them.

But yeah, it's completely lazy writing. Why the fuck even have Jane and Kenny appear in Season 2 and have multiple endings centered around them if they didn't want them in Season Three? That's giving fans of the game false hope and creating misconceptions - heck, in the interview they even made it sound like we'd be playing as Clementine for a decent length but of course that isn't true.
I swear if Clementine dies non-determinantly, or worse, determinantly, in a stupid way, then I'm done.

Your post was too hard for me not to click on and I'm honestly glad I spoiled myself, since I surely ain't gonna buy this season after seeing how they treated us and our ending choices once again.
I had a feeling something bad would happen to Kenny/Jane. That's ok. I was ready to accept it. I see why they had to go. But this is not the way to pull it off. What's up with those ugly textures that feel so different from the rest of the game? What's up with the lame writing? It wasn't bad enough that both Kenny and Jane look different from their true selves and worse than the walkers from S1... no, they even had to ruin their nature by making them act like utter fools and completely out of character. Feels like a big middle finger to many of us.
Now, I'm left with nobody I care about. Apart from Clementine, of course. At least get rid of the last survivors (family, for some Clementine) we know once we've got to know better the new cast. Why in the world does Telltale think I could possibly care/get attached to an entire new group of people I've never heard about/seen before? We already know how that ends, anyway. Even choices are going to suffer from this: they're gonna feel so much easier from now on since I'll only have to think about Clem/A.J.'s well being.
I always tried to justify Telltale, from Season 2 writing to the episode's length becoming worser while the price remaining the same, etc. and I never thought I would write this, but - as a fan of TWDG from the start - after all the emotional investment, time and money I put into these games, I sincerely hope this season flops.
It's time to learn from our mistakes.
I sure have learned from mine.
P.s. Sorry for the long rant, I feel a bit better now.
I take it that Jane was suffering from depression before she realized she was pregnant? Her suicide didn't look planned to me, since she didn't leave behind much to say to Clementine besides the pregnancy test on the floor.
Well, technically it will be different. There are going to be 42 choice paths in S3. So while our choices from previous games will have a very small impact, one's choices during S3 WILL impact and alter one's course over the season.
I thought up a bit of stuff for Jane's too. But it would either end in her death or her seperation from Clem. I'll write it up here if you care xD
The flashback is essentially the same in apperance but there is nothing about Jane's pregnancy or her suicide.
It starts out with a small cutscene where Clem and Jane walk together, if they let in the family then ginger Carlos is with them too. They talk about some task that needs doing. Carlos can't do it, he has to haul lumber and Jane can't do because she has to (haul lumber is Carlos is not with them) or fix a generator, so Clementine agrees to do it. She brings a small box with AJ with her, unless the family stayed with them. Then the black kid watches him. If black kid is present he seems sad, but Clementine doesn't question him.
Then there is a small hub where Clementine has to saw a plank and fix it to a barricade. While she does that she talks to herself (or AJ) about how Lee once fixed a swing for her and her friend Duck (or that she just remember the swing if Lee wasn't the one to fix it)
Anyway, in this hub she can talk to Jane and the family if they are there. There isn't any extensive dialogue with the others, Carlos busies himself with the wood and latina Molly tries to avoid having to talk with Clementine. If the family didn't join them, then the sound of a car can be heard in the background.
As Clementine continues to saw planks and add them to the barricade a shot suddenly sounds. The family is robbing them.
If the family was staying with them Jane is having a standoff with them where she has her gun pointed at the kid watching AJ. Clementine has to negotiate the kids life to get AJ back. She is unsuccesful and eventually Jane starts shooting at them. Molly jumps in to save the black kid and Clementine rushes to get AJ. She and Jane runs away together only able to bring the backpack that Clementine always keeps with her. As they run Carlos shoots at them to which Jane yells at Clementins that they should scatter.
That's the last time Clementine saw Jane.
If the family was turned away it is revealed that the car sounds were theirs. Jane is dead having been ambushed by Carlos, but Clementine obviously has AJ with her so doesn't have to negotiate. She grabs her backpack and runs, Carlos points his rifle in her direction but Molly stops him from firing at fleeing Clem.
So there you have it.
Not extremely different I suppose, but a way to make the ending choice matter and Clementine still ends up alone. Not too hard to come up with and it essentially uses the same hub/cutscene elements.
Haven't had any thoughts about the other endings. I don't give a damn about the alone ending, and I'm waiting with seeing the Kenny car crash until I play the game myself, as that's my save.

That's fine, but first impressions are important. And you should acknowledge an issue with many people, myself included, that are this troub… moreled with the initial lookover at the game's structure and ask why it's this bad.
It wasn't like this with either other season of TWD (not initially at least), so now why are people who (largely) loved both seasons so disappointed right off the bat with this new installment?
Jane's model is scary. Not a fan of how both her and Kenny were handled. I'm glad I went with the alone ending. I don't know, it was just handled so poorly. They really couldn't think of other ways to kill Kenny and Jane off?

Alright, sorry for the misinformation guys
Heh, I'm really glad I don't consider Season 2 actual canon because I legitimately don't care for that story otherwise I'd be pissed off beyond belief.
pew pew "Aaargh, don't kill me!" he screams while missing every shot, storm trooper-style. Just to appear cool to his evil buddies.
Is their any point in saving Jane in season 2 as she kill's herself anyway?
Well, you know, what you consider canon doesn't actually matter.
Sorry.
At least she doesn't lose a finger?
The flashbacks are content of Season Three, not Season Two.

you lose a finger if you go alone ><. Small price to pay from getting the shit endings with jane, kenny and wellington.

It matters to me and that's what matters. I think this solidifies that Season 2 was a complete waste of time and I'm okay with that.
Sorry.

"OH MY GOD THEY KILLED KENNY
YOU BASTARDS TELLTALE, YOU BASTARDS!!!!
Well you've certainly put in more effort in coming up with Edith and Wellington's little backstory than Telltale ever did thus far.
Nah, you still bitter. Don't worry bro, we all hurt.

Just hearing what's happened has made me lose faith in Telltale, my expectations have greatly plummeted for Game of Thrones Season 2.

OMG, really? I thought for sure she would just be the type to abandon the baby not kill herself over it.
I know right? I mean, you'd think they'd at least give Clementine the ability to talk her out of it by being there for her, not only do these deaths sound uncharacteristic for Kenny and Jane but I feel like Clementine would've done something to prevent them.
Even though I don't like any of them I'm still disappointed. They didn't deserve this.
Christa got pregnant and she didn't gain 30 pounds and became a man
You'd think they'd have learnt from Michonne, we don't want a movie. We want an interactive game
The graphics in some parts are terrible. Compare Jane's S3 model to S2
Kenny and Luke huh?

It feels unrealistic for Clementine not to be looking out for Jane if she was going through depression. It all feels very off to me

I'll take it then lol
I thought Jane in s2 was pretty. They've ruined her!
Clementine: "Wtf, Kenny?!?!? How are you alive???"
Kenny: "I got real lucky"
Clementine: "Teach me your ways!"
I appreciate your input, and I honestly would have liked to see these scenarios play out as it should have done in the actual game.
The real Jane got body-swapped with a cheap cosplayer for S3
Can I replay the first two Seasons and just ignore A New Frontier?
I was gonna watch the deaths on YouTube, but I figured there's only one more day. I can hold out for tomorrow.
