I laughed at Kenny's flashback death because of how absurd and comical it felt... had he simply worn a seat belt he wouldn't have been flung out of the front window and broken his spine. I hate that I find his death funny and kind of wish he went out in a similar style to Lee.
Jane's flashback on the other hand might give me nightmares.
I love that TWD has resorted to essintially a comedy sketch where people die in more and more vapid ways.
Luke dies from freezing in the plot lake, Sarah died from the plot balcony, and now Kenny dies from a plot windshield and Jane from the anti-plot suicide.
Ok, I'll try to sum this up "nicely". There's a scene in the train tunnel, in which,89% of us shot a man, while playing as Javier, to protect Clem. If I'm being honest, were it any other character. I would have let her be led to the city gates as a barter chip. But its Clem, I made her who she is and I won't let her down again. Does this season have problems? Yes it does, but if you look closer. I think you'll find the beginning of a great storyline . But make no mistake TTG. 89% of us just told you whose side we're on at the moment. To quote Clem from S2: "Sometimes, people die because of me.". 89% is far too many to ignore guys. We've made our point. Time will tell if they listened. Dragonfire out.
That's not why they were killed off and Javier has nothing to do with it.
Look, this is Telltale and Telltale always does things a certain way. Even if we were still playing as Clementine, Kenny and Jane were guaranteed to die very early in the story. This is what happens with determinant characters, otherwise it takes too much time to create two different stories based on who survives and the circumstances behind it.
I will admit that I thought the flashbacks were badly handled. I think if their death scenes had been longer and more "epic", there would be less complaints about it. But playing as Javier isn't the problem.
Also, the way I see it, playing as Javier gives you a chance to give Clem the support she needs again and give her someone who can have her back. God knows she needs it now more than ever. That's something that wouldn't be as possible if you were playing as her.
I'm more pissed at the fact that they were killed off so we can play as Javier and barely play as Clementine
that's what frustrates me.
Javier fucking ruined Jane and Kenny
I know right. Though I'd argue that Jane is the only one that really fits that description: for as much as people hate one or more of the three's, at least they gradually got to it; this is like "lol windchime" with little to no buildup or dramatic pacing, not to mention it really doesn't help with the sentiment that she never really grew out of her archetypes.
I love that TWD has resorted to essintially a comedy sketch where people die in more and more vapid ways.
Luke dies from freezing in the … moreplot lake, Sarah died from the plot balcony, and now Kenny dies from a plot windshield and Jane from the anti-plot suicide.
I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
Eh...doubt it. Its a bit early to be crying "Worst Thing Ever" about two episodes, and even then, those flashbacks will only really be a dealbreaker for the "Just Here for Godzilla" crowd. Personally, I thought Kenny had the best scene, Edith had the weirdest, and Jane had the worst; meanwhile, the alone ending doesn't come with any of that baggage outside of one little detail that I expect to see people whine about once they're done being mad about Kenny and Jane.
Kenny's death was fine tbh, it was in character, not everyone gets great action packed death blah blah.
Don't get me started on Janes death though, she spends this whole time convincing clementine that Kenny's dangerous, and will end up hurting her in the end, only for jane to off herself leaving a (12?) year old girl by herself with minimal supplies and a baby.
It also seems hard to believe that she would have gotten pregnant in the first place, I feel like everyone just assumed that Jane and Luke didn't like "Fully, frontally?" Do the Do, especially with the whole Rebecca situation.
Even if she did somehow get pregnant, She'd probably find a way to "Abort" it, or hell "Spawn Kill"
I've never been so disappointed in my entire fucking life. When I heard that they started working on Season 3 in July 2014, I thought it would look promising, make Season 2 choices matter for Season 3. Then later, from 2014 to 2016, it ends up breaking the old players' promises. I should have just seen it coming because we all know how Season 2 was handled.
My ending choice was being with Kenny. I was SOOOOOO happy to see him, teaching Clem how to drive, only to witness his end of the life in this hard way. One question simple: HOW THE FUCK DID CLEM LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR? The game didn't even show what she hit in the road, oh wait, I know the answer. MOTHERFUCKING PLOT!!!! How did I not see that? Kenny flew through the windshield, making him a liability, not feeling his legs at all. I cried so hard when Kenny made a promising sacrifice for the sake of Clem and AJ which proves that he cared for them SOOOO MUCH.
Then I watched the other flashbacks, thanks to Swingpoynt. I'll start with Jane, this made me upset MUCH MORE. Why? Let me tell you. Jane's fate made me hate her much more, what's that? I thought I was supposed to be happy to see her alternative death. This is coming from a guy who hates Jane so much and was happy to let her die in Season 2. Why fucking suicide? Oh yeah, Luke fucked her up which made her pregnant. Good fucking job, Jane. "Claps". This proved that Jane is NOT the smartest survivor. She caused her own death. She made Luke that offer which was NOT part of survival when Rebecca was giving birth. She might have cared for Clementine but that's not an excuse. Being pregnant was a stupid reason for her to not move on anymore. Also, yeah, that fucking family just took half of their food and made it off, I guess @RichWalk was right about them.
Then the alone ending, oh my god, I hate it so much. I don't want to say more. Just one magic question: WHERE THE FUCK DID THESE WALKERS COME FROM? Can there EVER be an episode where there are NO teleporting walkers? That's how Clem can lose her finger.
Then the Wellington ending, that was sooo fucking short. They just showed us Clem and AJ's room, then a bunch of bandits (Can't tell if they are The New Frontier) show up to just destroy the community, we saw NO new people, no other parts of Wellington etc. Then Edith just helps Clem and AJ escape and of course she has to die as well. What's more confusing is, how the FUCK did AJ not get crushed by Edith's body? I heard that in the comics, Judith, Rick's daughter, dies by being crushed by Lori's body after being shot by Lilly Caul. Un-fucking-believeable.
But guess what? This is NOT gonna stop me from playing this series. We just played episode 1 and 2. We can't say enough that Season 3 is gonna be bad. But I doubt it's gonna get better. I hope I'm wrong though.
Like I've said before I think they messed up by showing their fate so earlier instead of throughout S3. At the same time how can they show f… morelashbacks with what Clem went through with them/alone without extending the episodes? Each year it seems these episodes get shorter to the point where it seems you can easily complete it in under an hour.
Like when they announced how they will balance your choices from S2 into S3. I think I may have posted here about my concerns about how they choose to handle that last major choice. Well, TWD S3 revealed my greatest fear and now it seems like we won't get any sort of continuity from the past two seasons. I don't understand how they mess up so simply when it comes to explaining Clem's story. You have plenty of characters from the past seasons that help this game hold up on its own instead of throwing in comic characts and a brand new guy most don't really care about.
Hell, the only time I got any ou… [view original content]

I agree her getting pregnant didn't sit right with me. I always was under the assumption that Luke and Jane just gave each other oral sex. With Jane's whole mantra of "only the strong survive" bullshit I would've expected her to be smarter about not getting pregnant.

Kinda sad we didn't get to see Luke Junior tho.
