That's interesting, I haven't seen many pro-short episode length people, what are your reasonings for this?

You should have learned it by now, don’t you think. ;)

I'm enjoying the third season. I liked Kenny. I also liked Jane.

No, you can't be for real. You must be a troll. No one can like two separate things in this Internet-comments Era! You must love one and hate the other. That'd the rule!

  • TWD has been going downhill since 'the writers' wrote Omid's death so early in S2, you see fans can accept deaths in the series and can accept crazy storylines as long as they are written properly. Season 2 as bad as it was wasn't considered FAN-FICTION,that should tell @Job and the rest of TT something!

  • Only a few consider it a fan fiction and the forum goers are hardly the majority anyway

  • I'm not crying. There's just something in my eye when I start to complain a lot.

  • I really hate this side of the community. I really really do.

Like god damn. People are allowed to their opinions, but "whiner" threads or people complaining about "whiners" have been 99% of the community. Not to mention whiners and defenders come into eachother's threads to attack one another. Mods really need to organize this shit because its embarrassing.

    Edit

Oh look, another pointless thread. That solved nothing. People can have different opinions than you.

  • Today's generation of video gamers seem very spoiled and narrow-minded.

  • ...It's almost as if they don't want people to have any negative biases towards shitty products...

And would rather dedicate a thread to how people are disliking something they like are "crybabies" cause fuck actually having a standard of quality in storytelling.

Today's generation of video gamers seem very spoiled and narrow-minded.

  • Wanting better improvents/ calling out devs for being lazy = being very spoiled/ narrow - minded. Well guys I might as well pack up my criticism and go home because of this comment.

  • There's been SO many threads that have been filled with bitter and mean people. Its 100% possible to still express criticism without screaming or insulting people for enjoying a game you don't like, same could be said to defenders. No one has to be an asshole to one another.

  • I never said I didn't like TWD: ANF though. I just didn't like many of the things they did in it.

  • And that's fine. People can hate the game. Its just possible to hate the game without essentially screaming your lungs out through a keyboard (again not directly pointing at you). You have to agree that there have been some harsh threads from both sides, right? A good chunk of this community just hasn't been living up to the walking dead's target audience, and that's just disappointing.

I never said I didn't like TWD: ANF though. I just didn't like many of the things they did in it.

  • By calling out people calling them cry babies and whiners or whatever else you said is a sure way to look like an ass and it's disrespectful to those who have a different opinion to you

  • I'd have to disagree with you on that, personally

On the bright side, I'm not going to attack you for thinking it was fine. I mean, hey, the way I see it, what matters the most is that people are getting something good out of it. If you like S3, or any of the scenes therein, then that's great-- more power to you. Unfortunately, I don't feel the same way.

I'll be honest, though. There's one thing I really liked about the Kenny ending; the cinematography.

The way they had the camera pan over to the empty passenger seat, and the look of terror and realization on Clementine's face... I thought that shit was good. Effective. When I first played it, and it panned over to that empty seat, I felt a near-genuine sense of dread. Then it kept panning out to Kenny, laid out in the road, and I got a pit in my stomach. Where camera work is concerned, I'm giving them full credit on that. It might not have worked on everyone, but it sure as hell worked on me.

    Kenny's ending was fine,

  • Hey...I get you...Kenny left his mark in your heart and that road. Yes the endings should have been larger....it does baffle me that the endings are so short...would have been nice if they had the balls to do a talking dead for the episodes...could have got some insight and they could have taken our questions.

That's essentially what led me to post this, that and some rum.

I'd like it if the episodes were longer, and I might have even made a topic about that, but I wouldn't be raging about it.

  • I agree, I am really enjoying the new frontier, the game isn't perfect, the way they handled your past choices is questionable but apart from that I loving the game, the characters are interesting, the voice acting is spot on, I don't understand why this game is getting hate. I would say its as good as season 1 and 2 and we haven't even got all the episodes yet.

  • This thread is going well.

  • For one no need to use the GD word! Second, I loved S1 I mean like one of my favorite games. Season 2 got a few haters, but I loved it and it still had that Telltale magic. Sean Vanaman was the main man behind S1, he is great but left right before S2 started production. Many of the folks that was tied to S1 and S2 are gone. With that being said, I have enjoyed S3 so far but have many issues. We joked around that our choices from S1 and S2 wouldnt matter, and boy was we right. Wow. Anyways they havent added any songs at the end of the episodes like s2 had, also the begging walking dead score from s1 and s2 is some small instrument that you can barely tell its the score. I dont feel the Telltale magic in this yet, but we will see how it ends. They had almost 3 years, and at the moment im not very impressed.

  • I am easy to please but the kenny and jane deal was bs. We joked that Telltale would have Kenny or Jane in it for 5 minutes before they died thinking that there was no way they could do that to us, well guess what.

You're right friend. Everybody is whinning about Kenny and Jane's death, but forget that thw rest of the game is cool.

  • Thank you. I have never complained about TT TWD, but that was bs. Also where is the music? No songs at the end of episodes. They had almost 3 years to do something good and we got this.

Opinion? It's fucking fact how bad Jane and Kennys endings are a piece of shit!

  • I've been watching a friend play through S1 again, and even when Clem is missing the characters manage to take a break on that rooftop to talk. A serious conversation with Kenny about Duck to a conversation with Christa about no longer getting allergies... They were nice breaks, even if you'd think they wouldn't really stop to talk when looking for a little girl.

    UrbanRodrik posted: »

I Miss the hubs with several chances to talk to people and i also miss when there was alot of moments of peace so that we could connect to alot of the characters but a new frontier just focuses on the plot instead of taking a breather.

  • Having a different standard of storytelling is not the same as having zero storytelling standard at all. It is narrow-minded of you to think so.
