Shot Conrad on the spot to be honest. Threatening Clem was bad enough. Taking Gabe in (Javier's character) an instant demise for him. For the sake of it. Even if Conrad didn't use Gabe as a hostage or "meat shield" I still would have shot him. Why? well it was what happened after the two flashbacks and what Clem said. Obviously, there is more to the story. If I had to make a guess though, it had something to do with AJ. Maybe down the line Clem had to join up with New Frontier so that she could feed AJ or even prevent sickness in case he may have gotten or was going through a sickness. Lastly, I just see too much in Clem right now that's similar to Jane from the Second season. Jane from the start of Episode 3 was really distant from the group. Almost like she was purposefully avoiding people. Also, I just feel like Clem is going to pull a "Jane" and just save the day or just have more kill counts.
I didn't like Conrad from episode one. He was all whiny and annoying when Clem shot someone he's like, "I can't believe you did this in MY bar." and he only got on my nerves more after Francine died. Fuck you too Francine, you're an asshole by association and I told the new frontier I didn't give a shit about you being taken hostage, you should've listened to Tripp and stop going outside the fence.
That's a bit rough lol. Kids are generally given a little more leeway. And I hate to defend Gabe, but at his age kids are still developing mentally and physically, and just generally little hormonal shits. He pulled the gun on Conrad because Conrad, a stranger with the group of strangers travelling with him, his uncle, and his shot stepmother, was confronting him in a hostile and threatening manner.
Conrad, for all his offerings of the hand, had just ditched the rest of the group to lie in wait for Javier and two kids while they were blocking off the door from the walkers infesting the tunnels. Because he's upset that the girl admitted she used to be with the group that killed his wife, so lets turn her over to god knows what fate for an exchange or I shoot your nephew?
Gabe pointing a gun at Conrad was out of misplaced intentions and that stupid place in the back of a teenagers mind that says "this isn't a terrible idea." Conrad was experiencing pure rage and a violently damaged state of mind.
Problem is that in this fan base, it's okay for kids to threaten to kill adults, but not the other way around. What people have to remember … moreis that Conrad lost his partner and he had a right to be angry and upset, he took his anger out on Javier because he was upset and angry, he helps Javier up later from the walkers that shows he still has compassion, but Gabe pulling the gun on him was a stupid move like Conrad with Gabe, 2 wrongs don't make a right but on these forums, Gabe is more then welcome to pull a gun on Conrad, why? Because his a kid. Kids are allowed to.
I didn't shoot an armed man holding my nephew hostage, but I did shoot an unarmed man trying to run away.
I couldn't kill Conrad. I liked him. He seemed to be really broken up by Francine's death. Emotions do things to people. I thought his plan made sense and I had already sold Clementine out once, so no big deal. I just hope Conrad does something good. Poor bastard.
Although there are plenty of justifications one could use for shooting him outside of Clementine (his volatility after Francine's death endangering the group and him using Gabe as a shield), I'm going to be perfectly honest, it was all about Clem for me. I didn't particularly dislike the guy or want to kill him, but threatening Clem is an automatic no. Not to mention, there just wasn't time or build-up enough with Conrad's character for me to really care about what was going on with him (or to be invested in Gabe's safety either, tbh).
That's the truck driver yeah?
I don't mind Conrad, he only got angry in his bar because, well a person got shot in cold blood. He gives you advice about Gabe, if you choose to give yourself up, he appreciates it. He is a bit of a dick when he accuses you of the reason why she died but if your're in his shoes, you can't blame the man for going off and he chooses to help you get on top of the roof which is never had to. He had a reason to suggest the plan, for the safety of the others and the fact she lied so how can we trust her? Him grabbing Gabe was too far, but if you side with him, he doesn't hurt the kid.

I don't see Clem doing that. If anything, she is going to have a vendetta with NF more than anything else. Most the Clem path could do, is damage your "Javier's" relationship with his current family. That would be even more huge if Kate and Gabe come close to David.
Personally, with my play through. I don't see Javier and David seeing eye to eye. At first yeah Javier is going to do what he can for Gabe and Kate but when that fear passes it's about getting revenge from there. Even if Badger is a Merle like "Wild Card" that still is David's man thus that's his fault and his failings of leadership.
Clem would more than likely would do what you said above if you sold her out and went with Conrad's plan. Not saying that's bad or anything. I mean she would become a better antagonist then David.
So it was more about biased opinion towards Clementine? If she turns bad, are you going to still support her? If she pulled a gun to Gabes head, would you shoot her?
I said IF, not that she will.
Depends on how you're relationship is with David earlier on, And also the scene with Kate in the kitchen, if you stayed out of their argument or said that Kate is going to leave him. I saw a lot of people chose to say that she will leave him.
She might well do it, but even if you're nice to her, she still lies to you, and when she shoots Eli, she tries to make you lie for her. I have a feeling that she will just keep going to weasel her way out of things and make Javier be her bitch. When Conrad is holding the gun she tries her best to run away. She's hiding something else, i mean where's AJ for a start?

You compared killing in front of Clem to killing in front of Gabe.
because they didn't want to kill infront of Clementine.
What about Gabe? Gabe is not as hardened as Clementine
This comparison doesn't hold any water.
Now look at what you are saying:
A: He grabbed Gabe and B: Because they all wanted Clementine not to be a hostage. And i said, If you're gonna kill Conrad because of that, then all those ones should've killed Andy, seeing how he held a gun to 2 kids heads.
Honestly, I am having a lot of trouble understanding how can't you grasp that these are completely different situations. Conrad was an imediate threat, Andy was a past threat. Protection vs. Vengeance. The reasons to shoot are different.
But truth be told, if Clementine wasn't there, a lot of those people would've axed Andy for even touching Clementine.
You see, that's the issue. You think you know what goes inside people's heads. You don't. Stick with what is in your own head and stop making absurd comparisons that make no sense to try to get to a nonsense conclusion based on literally nothing but bad assumptions.

"The truth". Listen to yourself. You are so sure you know what goes in other people's heads, it's ridiculous.
And just like I posted on your other post, shooting Conrad is about protecting, while shooting Andy is about revenge. The reasons for shooting are different, the moment of the option is different (Conrad: present aggression and possibility of further harm; Andy: Past aggression and no possibility of further harm).
You made a bad comparison that makes no sense, mate. Admit it or drop it, I don't care, but stop assuming you know anything about what other people are thinking when the situations are so different that there are almost no reasons why someone would do what you think is coherent and shoot both.
Explain to me why i would accept a backstep to cover up the truth? I actually have said there are differences, that it was in different time… mores i.e who had a gun at one point etc. But like i just posted to you on the other thing, Both Conrad and Andy did the same thing, but because killing Andy meant a negative reaction by Clementine, the majority chose to spare the man, yet how many of them bashed Andy to a pulp? there's all these cries about him being unarmed, but i bet you the majority bashed him when he had his arms pinned. Double standards again but im sure there's an excuse for that one.
I said IF, not that she will.

Right there with you. I did not kill Conrad. I see Conrad as a good man lashing out after losing someone he really cared about. It's natural. After what happened, it would be difficult for him to trust someone who revealed their former involvement with the enemy, especially since he wasn't there for most of the cool little moments between Javi and Clem. Add to that Clem's uneven reputation established within Prescott, and her supposed killing of one of their citizens without provocation or error (despite Javi's protestations to the opposite), and one can understand and even sympathize with his actions even if one doesn't agree with them (I certainly do not).
I also did not want to risk Gabe getting hurt, nor risk worsening relations between Javi and the survivors from Prescott. And one less survivor, especially a capable man like Conrad, is one less fighter in the group.
What worries me is my dodging the question when asked by the New Frontier asked about Clem's connection to Javi. If they don't think she's a friend, they won't think to use her against me, but that side glare from her makes me wonder if Telltale won't factor in that possible motivation behind how I chose to answer in Episode 2, Above the Law.
And what's wrong with that? I mentioned the 2 reasons why Conrad was killed, and it is also a fact that Gabe isn't as hardened as her which is clearly evident by him panicking at like watching his steps mom surgery, making stupid decisions like run into open gunfire the way he reacted with Conrad etc.
Because they both did the same thing, what aren't you getting? Everyone who shot Conrad is saying because he either grabbed Gabe or what he did to Clementine, meaning that if his gonna do that, then he deserves to die. Andy did the same thing to 2 kids who were younger then Gabe and Clementine beiung younger as well. The reason why he wasn't killed was because people didn't want to do it infront of Clementine. And you wanna go on about not being a threat, is it justified then to punch the living shit out of a guy when his defenceless?
If Clementine wasn't there, how many of those people that spared Andy and Danny would've done it? There's already been a confession on here that if they had the chance, they would've killed the family at the dinner table. At least i have valid proof, what do you have other your biased opinion?

If she turns bad, are you going to still support her?
Yes
If she pulled a gun to Gabes head, would you shoot her?
No
I am going to put it simple, there is nothing Clementine could do that would make (majority of) the fans hate her. I'll admit it, most fans have an indestructible bond with her that inhibits them from making decisions against her, leading to bias ones. I''m one of those fans.

I admire how passionate you are towards her, but if you're playing as Javier, and she has a gun to Gabe's head, no matter the bond, family comes first. I just think it's wrong for people to choose her just because they're biased. i suppose if she shot Gabe, you'd still support her yeah?

Spot on.
I think what a lot of fans don't look at because they're so biased, is that the new frontier were the one's who killed Conrad's partner, and like you said, with Clementine's uneven reputation and hearing that she lied about being with the same group that killed his girlfriend and a group she fought against, anyone could see his reason for lashing out and also her shooting Eli in his bar as well. The moment where he blames Javier is him not thinking straight and having processed what has happened, he saves Javier from being killed by walkers when he could've easily had just left him there.
Also too that Tripp is fond of Conrad and if you kill Conrad and Tripp asks, he gets mad and upset about losing a friend, i get that holding Gabe at gunpoint was bad, but killing him is killing another life and it could've been avoided had Clementine told the truth from the start, he only grabbed Gabe because of Clementine.
Too be honest, i actually said she was a troublemaker and a liar, because she did lie and that she has caused a lot of trouble. I don't hate her, but if a character lies, it's hard to forgive them for me. I like Conrad, i know he'll probably die in episode 3 given his status and how telltale is doing it these days, but i couldn't kill him in the train just because it wasn't right to take a life when Clementine was the reason why the scene happened. People just put the blame on Conrad because of her or cause he grabbed Gabe but fail to see that killing him means you don't value another persons life. And people will say "well he didn't value Gabe", if you side with him, he doesn't harm the kid. It's a bluff unless you fail and the canon death happens but that's only to respawn as it's not an actual decision like killing conrad or siding with him.

He didn't simply suggest a plan... he pulled a gun on Clementine and held Gabe hostage.
I tried remaining silent on my first playthrough … morebecause I thought Conrad was a decent guy and that he would calm down and lower the gun.
He ends up shooting Gabe in the head and then shooting Javi without a second thought.
The decision to shoot him was pretty easy after that.
To be honest, I don't care anymore. Conrad had it coming. He took it too far so he needed to be put down. Let's not forget he was holding Gabe as hostage, a kid who had nothing to do with Clem's shit. I'm never giving up on Clementine. Even Gabe wanted Javi to kill him, he cares a lot for Clem.
Everyone has their own biases, they don't have to justify themselves just like them deciding to kill Larry, Andy/Danny, Ben or abandoning Lilly etc... I didn't kill him either because it felt wrong and I know Clem is going to find a way out of it as always, I'm still waiting for her epic "Fuck you" speech like Ben did to Kenny back in season 1. He'll probably die in next episode anyway since he's determinant. As for her still being with them, I found it really unlikely, especially with a suspiciously absent AJ and her freaking out about the NF taking over Richmond. She wasn't obliged to tell you anything about her past but she did anyway not matter if you sided with her or not despite knowing the risks of them using that against her but I think the Clem I shaped the past seasons will understand why he did that.
No, you don't get it. He pointed a Gun at Gabe's head. He was already dead to me at that point.
Conrad, a father. Points a Gun at a Childs head. After we already lost the niece, AND after I helped out his wife.
Bye bye Conrad. You won't be missed. Piece of trash.
For Javier, Clementine has been someone who was willing to help him time and time again. She saved him on the road (unintentionally this one was), she promised to help save his family (even if it was for the van), she provided cover for everyone to escape the junkyard (I stayed and helped), she helped him bury Mariana, bring him back to Prescott to see his family, saved his butt when he surrendered to New Frontier at Prescott, and assisted him against Jesus.
Trust. Clementine was willing enough to reveal to Javi personally of her dark secret. That shows she thinks highly of him enough to be considered someone she can fully trust.
Conrad was becoming a danger to everyone. If you don't do anything he will willingly kill Gabe and Javier in cold blood, and I can already see what excuse he'll make about what happened. The fact he will sacrifice anyone else just for a bargaining chip, and that he'll kill you and Gabe despite saying this could help Kate shows he can't be trusted anymore. He wasn't gonna let anyone go, it was either his way or getting a bullet in the head.
And uh (this is more personal btw)... no way I'm gonna bring her into a place where god knows what they would do to her (let alone betray her). The fact some has no problem killing a kid in cold blood, shit even wanting to take down an entire community for some food and revenge kills, speaks for itself. The New Frontier has no limits.

AJ is most likely with the New Frontier. The exact details have yet to be shown though.
Why so aggro?

Yes
No
I am going to put it simple, there is nothing Clementine could do that would make (majority of) the fans hate her. I'll admit it, most fans have an indestructible bond with her that inhibits them from making decisions against her, leading to bias ones. I''m one of those fans.
Yeah . . . That don't fly with me. Javier would shoot Clem if she put a gun to Gabe's head. Conrad made that mistake and got the same treatment.
Dude, I don't give a rat's ass about anyone when Clementine's safety is jeopardized. I'd kill anyone.
nice owl
Conrad had it coming.
Maybe. Maybe Clementine is still with them....
I chose to shoot Conrad based on the fact that he had a gun to Gabe's head. No way would Javier want to negotiate with him under those circumstances.
Now knowing what he does if you stay silent, i'm really glad I shot him.
I shot Conrad for a multitude of reasons.
Considering how things turned out for that choice, I'm glad she didn't reveal anything about AJ yet.
