i like Gabe... also im extremely overprotective of clem, but if she sees happiness with Gabe , i dont mind... i want clem to be happy in a messed up world
He is totally going to die. I'm saying that as a non hater (even though I hate him). The only one I see living through the season is Javier and even he is not certain. (and Clem, obviously)
I know why people hate Gabe. It's because of Clementine.
He's just a kid, so there's no other reason.
So you guys better get ready, beca… moreuse all the hints on episode 2... Hehe
Besides, no one is talking about a RELATIONSHIP, it's about first love and stuff. That's normal in life.
I bet all of you already deal with this in life, my friends.
Cmon, go watch Little Manhattan.
I didn't like him at first but he was the only one to stand up for Javier and willing to shoot that dipshit Conrad when he got to close I automatically liked him a bit more.
I don't hate Gabe because of Clem. I just hate Gabe. Yes, he is a teenager and yes he is going through tough times but I just fucking hate him either way, case closed.

I have a special kind of hatred for Gabe. Mainly because he reminds me too much of how I was at that age. And I had to apologize to everyone I made contact with when I was 13.
You people...yes I said it...are sorta hating just to hate. Gabe is a pretty good character, and it is not like he and Clem are going to fu… moreck. So get your noses out of joint and quit with this forced annoyance shit. They are about the same age...they can relate in ways Javi and Kate would have trouble with Gabe or Clem. The whole argument is stupid.
Yes but it was never like Conrad was going to kill Javi. He was just pissed at him for a stupid shitty reason. Gabe pointing the gun at him was a huge pussy move and even when Javi told him to put the gun down he didn't listen. That's what pisses me off about the kid.

I think I can see both sides, but ultimately I think Gabe is a good character, and leaves quite a bit of room for development. He is a bit of a typical moody teen, which seems ridiculous while in the zombie apocalypse, but I think in a way that's a good thing...It shows that people still act like people, he acts like any 14 year old boy would that I can think of. He's probably coming across so moody because he's talking to his guardians as opposed to his peers (Think about the way you would talk to your parents/guardians vs anyone else?). I understand why people don't want their precious Clementine to date him, and I don't really want that either. But I think people are failing to see how no matter what, in any situation if you're seen talking to a girl your age, someone is going to make some kind of dumb comment eluding to romance. This even happens in real life, I know when I was younger anytime I talked about boys (friends or crushes) my family would be like "OOOOOOOOOOOOHhhh is he your boyfriend or something???" some things just don't change. It's one of the only real "human" things that people have in this situation, once in a while it's okay for things to get kind of fluffy when everything else in the plot is extremely dark.
I think the other thing that people fail to realize the way his life during the outbreak to now has gone in comparison to Clementine for example. He had a bunch of extremely traumatic. crazy things happen during the outbreak. The biggest being obviously, he got separated from his father. Obviously there is no mother in the picture for whatever reason, as Kate is his stepmother. His mother is not even as much as mentioned in the game, we have no idea if she bailed on them or is dead. Either or though, that's going to scar any kid. Now you get separated from your only parent, and you're stuck with your stepmom and uncle who by the way things sound, has barely been around so Gabe probably doesn't know him very well. They spend 4 years obviously mostly avoiding trouble, as him, Mariana, Kate and Javi mange to all stay together somehow, all alive, still in the same van. He is still sheltered to a degree compared to what Clementine has gone through, they come from basically different worlds.
In my opinion, they could have toned down his moodiness a touch, I don't think they needed him to be quite so "typical" for us to get the idea of his character. I think that it's also over exaggerated by mostly what Kate has to say about him (Javi can go along with it too). Even Mariana whines about them fighting all the time. It is excessive. But I think that it's obivous there is a struggle going on within the character....He can prove to be pretty sweet towards people, a loose cannon at times, caring, he acts like he doesn't care but he obviously really cares about Javi and respects him enough to listen to him. He is also showing just as much of an internal struggle as he is blaming the world around him, which I think is important to note.
**TL DR; ** I think this is a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. There are a lot of different sides of Gabe's personality that we have already seen, and his character leaves a lot of room for different storytelling. Based on his relationship with Javi, how things will be now that his father is back in the picture, and even his relationship with Clementine (the first male OR female character his age he's interacted with as far as we know with the exception of his sister, which is obviously different). I am slightly annoyed by him, but for all these reasons I think he's a great character, maybe one of the most interesting we've met this season so far.

'Fraid so, Flog.
Looks like we're looking at...
A CROSS-MEME
I don't like him either. I hate the fact that he gets to live and my Mari gets to die. That is some royal bullshit. Mari is love and Mari is life.

And he is trying to hit on Clem. That just made it go waaaaaaaaay worse than it actually was. Too emo for me as well.

Ahah I can relate to that. Oh the early teens, they were... oh god they were somethin.

I love Gabe, he's one of my favorite characters.
