Awkward Question but, does Clem know about puberty? Birds and the Bees?
Just a disclaimer! I am no way trying to sexualize Clem or anything of the sort. It's just TellTale has not shied away from talking about Gabe going through puberty ("Once you start getting boners the whole world goes dark") so naturally it leads me to wonder how Clem has been dealing with it, virtually on her own.
So it's a weird question but seeing as Clem was so young when it first started and has very rarely had a stable caretaker has anyone taken the time to explain these things to her? It seems unimportant over teaching her survival skills but she must have hit puberty or feeling the beginning effects of it already. When I first saw her new outfit I assumed the straps showing underneath her shirt was a sports bra, signaling her maturing body. I'm gonna assume she has some vague concept of what a period is if she hasn't already had one. Most pre-pubescent girls kind of know what happens but the varying levels of knowledge really depend on their parent's honesty and teachings about the subject. I can't imagine it would easy to gather sanitary pads in this world and it would be even harder to clean reusable pads due to the lack of readily available clean water.
Also, Clem claims to know about "kissing stuff" but most children usually have the vague idea of what adults "in love" do. Did anyone bother to explain what it is to her and people who may take advantage of her because of it? I know TellTale has unused audio of one of the St. Johns being a pedo with an interest in Clem but they ultimately cut (thank god that episode would be ten times worse with that in it). I'm just worried they may bring this up again in later episodes, as we've seen the humans of TWD can be cruel and downright evil.
Again sorry for the awkward question but how periods and puberty are dealt with after the apocalypse has always baffled me, very rarely do writers or creators go into detail about these subjects.

Pretty sure Christa taught her all about it
I think so to, didn't she even mention something like this in the start of season 2 very briefly? Don't know for sure.
I can't remember her mentioning anything puberty related when talking to Christa, the only thing Christa talks about is teaching Clem to build a fire and going to Wellington
Doubt she knows considering what she calls it.
Sadly, no.
"I'm afraid it will be awkward"
"Because you made it with luke?"
Then maby it was something related to babies, I don't really know anymore even though it wasn't that long ago I finished season 1 and 2 again to get back into the story for season 3.
Doubt she knows what it is. She was just repeating what she heard during the Luke, Bonnie and Mike convo.
Christa probably taught her some things, but not everything, hence the "kissing stuff" comment.
She said that Jane and Luke were "kissing stuff"?
Edit: Also Clementine didn't even knew what happened to Rebecca when her water broke... was Clementine picking flowers when Christa was delivering her baby?
Daze, please explain to me the concept of sex.
Bonnie and Mike were teasing Luke about how long he lasted with Jane and there's an option for Clem to say she knows what they're talking about.
"I know what you're talking about... kissing stuff."
To be fair when I was younger i had a vague idea about sex and thought it was accurately portrayed when I grabbed two barbies and smashed them repeatedly together
Yeah Christa probably taught her about it and she learned more about it in Wellington.
More like Clem teaching Gabe that stuff...
THERE WAS NO TIME FOR KISSING
That's how it's done.
Ah come on...
I think it's better for Clem to be dominant in that relationship... ( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)
She's not dumb. she knew about the pregnancy test.
My only excuse is that I just wanted to use "Lenny" the emoticon for once in this forum...
I was kidding.
But I will keep the offer in mind.
lmao XD
lel
Do we know a baby was delivered?
very true, she's a quick learner
For Christa? It remains so vague, I'm thinking it was a miscarriage. Clem didn't even know how to help a woman give birth so I think a stillbirth is unlikely unless Christa somehow did it alone?
In Season 2 Clem had no idea what sex was, so instead, she called it "kissing stuff" and "making it." It's possible that in 3 of the 4 endings she learned what sex is. Those endings are likely the Kenny, Jane, and Wellington ending; she had multiple people to teach her all about that stuff.
Kenny was teaching her how to drive, so I'm sure he taught Clem about sex and puberty. In the Jane ending, she knew what a pregnancy test was, so I assume Jane taught her about all of that stuff. With Wellington, we can assume Edith taught her about all of those things. Finally, with the alone ending she had no one to teach her, so the only possible way she learned was while she was apart of "The New Frontier", but other than that, no one could've possibly taught her.
Now just imagine:
Kenny: I never had time to teach Duck about sex and periods so your my second best chance!
Clem: Uhh... ok. Thanks, I guess...
is this emoticon really called Lenny??
( ͡º ͜ʖ ͡º)
lol why
oh god Kenny...he would do that.
Also very plausible explanations for where she learned it.
Yeah, I was leaning toward miscarriage myself.
I was kidding, Daze.
4chan made it up on the israel reddit board... It's also called Le Lenny Face, Le Face Face, and Le Palestine face.
Jane lived very short compared to both Kenny and Edith, so it safe to assume Clem and Jane were together for a few days. If she was the one teaching Clem, I bet she had one of those "what is sex about - short guide for dummies" books.
why is it confusing to teach Duck about periods? Lol I remember even though we were separated the boys and girls had to watch the same sex ed video about periods and erections.
It's not, was just bored and wanted to attempt humor.
Hey, Telltale. I think the board is bored lol. We have been far out of the box as far as thinking this week. I think maybe it's time for some news...lol
