Although 2 hour episodes like season 1 would be ideal, I'd settle for 90 minute episodes like season 2. 60-70 minute episodes just aren't enough for me.
I'm holding out hope that these episodes were so short because they were supposed to be 1 episode that were split in two, and that future episodes will be longer.
You aren't the only one, I enjoy many aspects of this game. It isn't the scourge of humanity like many are saying but there is definitely room for improvement. With these rewrites I'm actually even more hyped, I have a second chance to get the game I looked forward to.
I wonder if we'll get an interview with them over the next few months.
Interviewer: 'Telltale, have you seen the recent fan criticism reg… morearding the first 'two' episodes of Season 3?'
Telltale: '8.8/10 on ign! A must buy!'
Interviewer: 'I...see...but what about Melissa Hutchison's remarks about the episodes and season as a whole?'
Telltale '...Must...buy? Season 3! A must buy. 8.8/10. Ign! A must buy!'
I honestly don't know if I'd call the HL2 beta better than the actual game, in all honesty
I mean yeah, it looked pretty great, and there were a lot of interesting concepts that were pitched, but the question is; would they have worked?
For example, the Hydra was a pretty cool enemy, but the reasons they ultimately had for removing it were quite sound; it isn't exactly an engaging enemy to fight. It looks cool, and as part of a scripted sequence, it looks pretty awesome, but it just isn't really a good enemy to fight outright. And if the beta leak suggests anything, those ideas only got so far before the game's direction shifted-- some of those beta maps barely got past a preliminary art pass. I feel the original HL2 suffered from being too ambitious for its own good-- Valve wanted to do a lot of cool stuff that was ultimately too much of an undertaking for them, or concepts that, as good as they sounded on paper, were a lot harder to translate into the game the way they wanted them to.
I dunno, I'm hesitant to say that any of the old HL2 concepts would have been objectively better than the release version. I mean, yes, they looked pretty fucking neat, and some of that stuff was quite interesting to play through, but who knows if they would have been able to follow through with all the old designs in the end? They were still limited by technology-- and even themselves-- at that point in time. The HL2 we got was already cutting edge in a lot of ways at the time, but I don't know if they could have taken it further without compromising the quality and integrity of the game in the process.
But rewrites could be bad too!
Two Best Examples(in my opinion) is:
1.The Wolf Among Us
2. Half-Life 2(I Know it's not telltale made game… more but still)
They or originally had very atmospheric and fantastic story and design that was later changed to be "Very Good Game" even they could be "Fantastic and Awesome Game"
Alright, I guess I'll just view elements and use my rudimentary CSS knowledge, should turn out good since CSS is simple as hell.
Edit: I … moremade a compilation of screenshots on what my dark theme CSS for this site turned out to be, feel free to suggest anything, it's preliminary still in some aspects, but I've cleaned it up quite a bit. Imgur compilation link here and GitHub source code here. Some things need to be patched up on some other parts of the website, but the community, news, and most things should work fine. I think the only issues I've had were images not displaying on the store screenshots, but when you click it, it opens the full image anyways. So yeah, I'll probably try to fix that sometime, but I just use this site for the community mainly, so it should be good.
Mira's story was one large blue balls of wasted time ever...yeah I forgot about the traitor thing...the fight between Gared and Goofball Mcgoof...where no matter what you are going to get a date with the headsmans axe...thanks Jon Snow...I hope your brothers stab you!!!
I'd use Stylish, an extension which let's your write, manage, and apply custom CSS' to websites. Again, like I said, the CSS I created has a minor bug shown here, it basically just covers the thumbnails on a series page in a dark shade, to view those specific images you'd have to click on them, then click the center piece to view the external link image, but the YouTube videos play fine. Other than that I haven't noticed anything, plus I only use this website for the community primarily like I said, which works just fine (no display issues or anything), I didn't forget everything though, I included some modifications to I believe the news page, profile page, and some more to make sure it matched the theme overall.
To be fair, if Gared didn't kill Brit, the story couldn't progress.
Overall I think GOT deserves a 7.5 out of 10, the story isn't perfect, has some medium flaws, however the decisions that have to be made are the most stressful in all the TTG, at least in my opinion.

Technically Tales had 7, but like another dojo said, you'd get the achievement for beating the episode shortly after getting the achievement for beating chapter 6.
I agree completely about the choices. In ANF for example, there has only been one choice that felt a bit hard (shoot Conrad or not), the rest was way too easy to me. I don't play these games so I'm presented with an obviously bad/good decision. GoT does a stellar job with making you feel stressed at the decisions, and sometimes even dialogue choices, you're making. It might be the Telltale game that has the best illusion of choice to date.
Off the top of my head: Forging the letter, Asher or Rodrik, Ludd or Gryff, stand up or keep down, marry Morgryn or die.
All incredibly hard choices, and those are just the ones I remember on a moment's notice. A truly underappreciated game, in my opinion one of Telltale's best.

Marrying Morgryn or not wasn't difficult for me, because I had betrayed Sera in the beggining of the episode and thought there was no way Margaery would let a loyal servant have her head chopped off but the game played me and killed me anyway, so I rewinded and married Morgryn.

I'm actually pretty excited for next episode. I've always wanted to explore an actual area like the one we're going to. Then again, I got disappointed with Carver's in season 2 which I considered the worst episode of season 2.
Not to mention Inquisitions absolutely horrendous character creator, horrible sparse MMO landscapes with nothing to do and only about ten percent of the games content having anything to do with storytelling. Andromeda's advertising is, worryingly, making it look much the same.
The character models in the Andromeda preview looked really bad as well, so I have a lot of concerns about the character creation.
To be fair, no Walking Dead game has really had a campaign longer than 10 hours, unless you really took your time.
Season 1 was just under 10 hours, and season 2 was around the 7-8 hour mark.
That being said, if season 3 keeps up the hour long episodes, we're looking at 5-6 hours. That's not enough time to get to know and get invested in these characters, I'd say. I hope Telltale amps up the episode length for episodes 3-5.
Like I said before, 2 hour episodes like season 1 would be best, but 90 minute episodes would be enough time to still have fast-paced episodes while also having some downtime to get to know the characters.
Seriously though, this needs to be addressed:
If the rest of the season is as short as episode 1 and 2, 1-1.5 hours, then we are really l… moreooking at a 5 and a half to a 7 hour campaign?!
Seriously?
Season 1 was around 13 hours for its campaign, while season 2 was close to 11 hours. If ANF is around 6-7 hours.... for a $24.99 TTG? I'm seriously gonna be pissed, and probably talk to Steam support about a refund. I'll go ahead and say this right now: it would be so cheap, sleazy, and unacceptable to be goaded into a 25 dollar episodic game that has historically surpassed well over 10 hours of gameplay, only to find it barely passing 7...
Can TTG make a statement and address this concern, please?
I wonder if we'll get an interview with them over the next few months.

So I have been trying to calculate when Telltale will start releasing news about episode 3 if they're still going to stick to the one month wait ordeal. To do this I went ahead and looked at Batman's release dates and observes how long it took them to start talking about the next episode.
Episode 1 & 2 of season 3 released 19 days ago, nearly 3 weeks.
So let us look at how many days each episode of batman took to release.
E1 released August 2, E2 released September 20th. Episode 2 took 49 days to release. E2 release September 20th, E3 released October 25th. Episode 3 took 35 days to release. E3 released October 25th, E4 released November 22th. Episode 4 took 28 days to release. Exactly 1 month. E4 released November 22th, E5 released December 13th. Episode 5 took 21 days to release. Only three weeks.
Going by this, the longest it took them to release it was 49 days, the shortest was 21. For sure they're not releasing episode 3 in 21 days, so we can scratch that one. So let's look at the 28 day wait. I am going to exclude news about Batman Unmasked because they always recorded those and showed teasers in them incredible early and they didn't do a Playing Dead this season, so I am only going to point out news/teasers from staff.
So, the 28 day wait for Batman episode 4. Episode 3 released October 25th, only 16 days later staff already said they were playing episode 4 . Two days after this, they really started talking about episode 4.
So, I think it's safe to say episode three will take more than 28 days.
Alright, the 35 day wait for Batman episode 3. Batman E2 released Sep.20th, E3 released Oct. 25th. After episode 2's release, it took staff 22 days to release a teaser about E3. So, this leaves a 35 day wait for TWD episode 3 possible. Unlikely, but possible. So, if the 35 day wait is possible, then everything above that is as well.
I'm oddly patient as of late, but I was just curious as to how long it took them to start talking about news instead of their radio silence.
EDIT: The amount of time it took the episodes to be put into the steam database.
Episode 2: August 6, 4 days after Episode 2
Episode 3: September 23, 3 days after Episode 2
Episode 4: October 24, 1 day BEFORE Episode 3
Episode 5: November 11, 11 days BEFORE Episode 4
As far as I know there has been nothing regarding episode 3 in the steam database. Maybe the delay really is happening.

I mean, Im sure it would be an interview with Kindafunnygames with everyone's favorite Greg Miller, meaning we never address issues and problems.
Meh Season 1 wasn't exactly stellar
If you ask me, the Telltale holy trinity would be TWD S1, TWAU, and TFTBL
Well, for their modern games, at least

It had some plot flaws, like the traitor thing and the fact that Mira's story in the capital served us nothing.
However I liked it very much,
Nice work! What program would you recommend using on Google Chrome to consistently keep the CSS stylesheet applied?

Where can I read the interview? Can't seem to find it
See this link...
Watch as Telltale rushes the 3rd episode and we end up with a 50-minute episode.
And the last scene is Clem Rickrolling us.
I'm very worried Andromeda might suck for me.
"Inquisition flashbacks"
Agreed
i love it
That's why I try my best not to get on board of the Hype train. I'll just expect it to be the same if not worse than ME3, combat and ending wise.
Not to mention Inquisitions absolutely horrendous character creator, horrible sparse MMO landscapes with nothing to do and only about ten percent of the games content having anything to do with storytelling. Andromeda's advertising is, worryingly, making it look much the same.

"8.8 / 10. A breathe of fresh air"
Things seem business as usual around here I guess I will enjoy the show.
Asher and Rodrik was a tough choice...liked them both so well
ANF is shittier than COD: Infinite Warfare and No Man's Sky combined kappa
Nothing is worse than NMS
Biggest meme game of 2016.
I can't believe it's still getting charged for $40+ on Steam. Like... What?
It even won several awards before it got released...
gaming community I swear... yer dumb

True, but i think Tripp i sa good guy so,we care about him right?
I just wanna play episode 3 soon,i can't wait, believe me guys..i'll be happy if it will be released at the end of january...or february!
Looks at the post by @Dont_Look_Back . Hmmm well....LOOK OUT PBS...We have the real Sherlock right here! I am thinking we are going to hit 80+days
If that happens... I demand a refund.
The sixth episode of GOT took almost 4 months (120 days). I'd say it'll be close.
