If I'm being honest, by leaving her and her poorly written character dead in a ditch somewhere and moving on with Javier who's only been in 2 episodes but is far more likable.
Sorry if this triggers or upsets die-hard Clementine fans, but it's just my thoughts on the matter. RIP.
Maybe she can play an even greater role in the future of The Walking Dead continuity. Due to the collapse of civilization, humanity is socially, culturally and politically redefining itself. She can probably become an agent of that change.
Season one Clementine was a representation of the hopes and ideals of humanity. Hopefully, future character development will allow her to reclaim some of that essence of her former self. She can grow up to be a leader of a new settlement or become a founding mother of a new nation just like Alexander Hamilton. She could also possibly channel that optimistic energy in areas that are both cultural or social. She can become a Leonardo Da Vinci like figure where she can use her creativity to usher a new cultural renaissance in post-outbreak America.
Her potential as a character can even go further in the post- apocalyptic universe. Her strong sense of hope could allow her to become a legendary figure akin to archetypes such as Moses, Plato, Confucius, Jesus, Muhammad, and Joan of Arc. She could probably start a new religion. Who knows. Maybe in a thousand years into the zombie outbreak, every survivor will worship her as "our Lady Redeemer" kind of like the Prophet Andraste from the Dragon Age universe.
All I'm saying is that there are a lot of future possibilities for Telltale to shape the character of Clementine. She doesn't have to be limited as "a little girl who is trying to survive the apocalypse". I hope they abandon the "just trying to survive" trope for a lot of the characters because I think it's not only limiting their character development but also their roles within the story.
If they decide to kill her off, they should give her an honorable and respectable farewell. Here's to hoping they don't kill her off for the sake of shock value or forced melodrama.
If they don't decide to kill her off and ANF is the final season, then I feel like finale as a whole should be like Clem's possible death that I mentioned earlier and should be given an honorable and respectable farewell.
How do you think Telltale should end Clem´s story?
By not doing it any time soon until the series is completely dead, look how Rick is doing and they're still going, we need a character that we can all reflect our thoughts back to. If they end her, so should the series all together.

Unfortunately, I feel that that is the only way it can get people to move on from Clementine, if she dies. If Clem ends up alone or walks away at the end of this season, people will expect more of her. I believe that this season is Telltale trying to transition players away from Clementine and into new stories. (But it seems people don't want that, or don't understand.) They are still very much attached to Clementine, and that isn't good for what TTG seems to have planned so far.)
Though, how I would see her leaving this season is surviving till the end, and leaving Javi's group.

Taking a guess but I can somehow see Season 3 ending with Javier forced to make his ULTIMATE CHOICE.
Escape and leave Clementine behind to die OR Sacrifice himself to save Clementine.
Rather they wouldn't, but I'd prefer a episode dedicated to her and only her... I'd want it to be a long process and a sad moment. I don't want her to die lonely or sad, I want her to die the best death possible. I want to cry like when Lee died.
I could see them doing a save Gabe or Clementine ending, but I don't know if I could pull myself to see Clementine die.
I could see a "Help Clementine" or "Save Yourself" ending, but no one would choose the "Save yourself" ending haha.
How are they gonna end this Season? They threw me off when you had to choose between Jane and Kenny, so now I can only wonder what big character will die at the very end of this season... Javier and Clementine are the two only real big characters that could make people cry when they die.
Clementine has been with us since the beginning, and she is a well developed character and the only form of continuity in the game. Most people love her, so killing her would kill the game, and would piss off a lot of people, myself included...

Clementine is hands down my favorite character in this game. Lee was amazing, and I felt really connected with him, but he's gone, memorable death, not bad at all, but sadly he isn't here anymore.
Kenny, my other favorite and man can I say, he is the true OG next to Clementine. S1E1-S3E1, I can say, it's been an awesome 2 full seasons with him!
However, Clementine is someone we have seen and still continue to see grow up more and more...
Season 1: Sweet, Laughs, Smiles, Innocent
Season 2: Lost her smile and ability to laugh, strong, cold, but still caring
Season 3: Untrusting (at first), but she means well, she cares, she is cold but warm still, she smiles more (but only when it's Javier), and she even trusts Javier. In a way, I see Lee in her. She understands she has to survive, and all though she isn't as innocent as Season 1 Lee/Clementine, she still cares.
I don't know why there is so much hate for her character in Season 3. She acts exactly how I'd expect while being alone for two years and in custody of TNF for a long time as well. However, she is still very nice and caring! She smiles when she talks to Javier, she trust him more than anyone else, she is mad when you betray her, but when you call her your friend, she understands why you did it... When you decide to surrender to TNF at Prescott, she will have a deep look of concern and fear when you go down there, and she even saves your life for you. She builds a grave for you and even tries to give you motivation while you bury Mariana...
Clementine is amazing this Season, she's not out of character, in fact, she's more in character of Season 1 than she was in Season 2!
So I say if she's going to die...it needs to serve the "Whole" of TWD in someway. Just so haters will have to deal with this fact. Clem's not a bad character. We know more about her than almost any TWD character. Honestly I hope Kirkman allows her into the comics. And if she died there I'd have no problem accepting it.

Fans will always associate TWD with Clementine. But I feel that the creators want to move away from her story now. I don't think that it's a good move, but they seem to think Javi can carry everything on his own ("Javi's story is emotionally intense and satisfying... (after seeing his story you'll be thinking) Clem who?").
My theory is that the conflict with the NF will be resolved this season and Clem (and AJ) will go their separate ways from Javi. I don't buy the quick and easy friendship/bond that formed between the two (within like three seconds) and I can't see her 'joining' his family in the finale.
They can't kill of Clem. They just can't.
Clem and AJ will settle somewhere else. Although communities will inevitably fall / there is so much uncertainty, Telltale can leave us with a hopeful feeling at the end that Clem will be ok. Maybe some might not return for the next season, but I think this outcome would satisfy fans.
How should Telltale end Clementine's story? Hand the character off to the comic book would be my choice.
If the event were to happen at the end of season we could have Clementine separated from Javier, later encountering a group from Alexandria, or Hilltop. Imagine her meeting up with Negan in the final scene.
That way Telltale don't draw the ire of fans for killing off Clementine, all while giving her the potential to play a bigger part in the Walking Dead Universe. It also frees them up to focus more on Javier or another new character.
100%!

It took them a lot longer than 3 seconds to become friends, I don't think they actually became friends until you stayed and fought with her at the junkyard

not in a flashback. lol too soon?

Clem: Fucking hell. I just had a nightmare about playing second fiddle to someone willing to side with me over his family. I need a cigarette.
either a car crash or hanging ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

She needs to sacrifice herself for someone.

Dam I really like that idea nobody really thinks that far in time with post apocalyptic world and would really add a lot to her character
Hahahahaha, oh that's fuckin' good man. Giving you a +1 for that one holy shit.
Same here my man.

I'd rather Telltale just give us what most want: A continuation of Clementine's story.
^ this
Clementine will become a goddess and take Lee with Kenny to Heaven...
What? If Blizzard can do it, why can't Telltale?
By not killing her, honestly, she should be the first one to survive.
If they end her story, then i'm not playing their games no more.
It's bound to end, but hopefully not anytime soon and not like all the other characters so far.
That'd better be the end of the game series all together at that point.
Also, any humane person would give up their life for a 13 Year Old girl, especially one that he trusts and will most likely see as his own daughter.

I agree, it will basically have to be the final episode of the final season to end the series.
Yeah, it would be such a waste of a great character killing her any sooner!
I just want her to be happy. After everything. The misery needs to stop. There's still hope out there.
100%!

It needs to be Epic. Like it or not she is to TTG TWD what Rick is to the main. universe. It maybe this was never intended, but it is what it is.

Exactly. Telltales whole walking dead series is about Clementine and until they stop making the walking dead Clem is what the story revolves around.
Lol that profile pic is funny XD
But no one can survive forever in Walking Dead world. Everyone will be killed sooner or later.

Totally agree with everything u said
die for AJ

I think this is gonna end happy for Clementine, she is gonna stop everything, and she will live happy! (my opinion)
