What's the Worst thing that Could Happen in Episode 3 (Above the Law)?

In terms of both horrifying, sexiness, plot twist and/or stupid, that is.

  • Lee comes back, then dies five minutes later.

  • It was all a dream:

  • What's the Worst thing that Could Happen in Episode 3 (Above the Law)?

Everything that happened in the first two episodes.

  • Javier stumbling across the Walking Dead forums.

  • But that would be awesome, Deadpool levels of fourth wall breaking, I'm all for that.

  • No, I mean it would be really horrifying for him.

  • What's the Worst thing that Could Happen in Episode 3

Continuing the same plot with the weed smoking squad and the cry-baby.

  • Clementine will find out that Gabe is David's son and commits suicide.

  • The worst thing that could happen?

Episode 3 being worse than 1 and 2.
And it being a dream where kenny and jane died.

    It's shorter.

That would be the worst possible thing in my mind. The top complaint already is that the first two were too short. If they somehow managed to fuck up this episode's length, then you'd see tons of people asking for refunds.

And no, I don't mean shorter by, like, a minute. It would have to be pretty significant.

  • Aj is dead

  • We go back to the flashbacks to find out they are different. In reality Clem hit Lee in the road which lead to Kenny and Lee's death!

For this Fandom? Clementine dies and the episode slide for episode 4 that shows Clem is actually a flashback.

  • Clementine becomes the main antagonist

  • edited January 2017

The worst would be the factual realization that...Clementine doesn't make an appearance and is thus not playable at all whatsoever in a 30 minute episode three called "Above The Law" then having to wait 4 more months for Thicker Than Water which again looks like the best episode of the season but turns out to be the worst because of Telltale's infamous record of having the 4th episode be the weakest of the season (for The Walking Dead at least). Which would really be "Breaking The Law" as we all now it is law of the land to have Clem featured in every episode of the walking dead game (DLC and miniseries don't count).

Now that is horrifying an entire episode without Clem at all and focusing 100% on watching Javier and brother David thumb wrestle for 30 minutes over Kate with Gabe crying about how he isn't man enough for anything in the background .

  • Would jump out of a window if this happened.

    On fire.

    Covered in maple syrup.

  • Clem could get punished hard by The New Frontier if you agree with Conrad to sold her out to them, which of course i didn't do because Clemy is my life =) so i kill that Conrad b****!

    Fixed.

  • Damn! Unfortunate Implications?

Well, these are what I think off the top of my head:

    • Clementine not having her issues addressed
    • Kate dying or being killed
    • Gabe not getting a cool (or, if necessary, redeeming) moment, especialy if he gets the opposite
    • David not being fleshed out
    • Conrad not getting any major screentime and his plan being completely pointless
    • Elinor turning out to be evil, especially with little characterization done beforehand.(Please be mature about this, game)
    • Ava not coming back with a significant presence
    • Max being killed off pointlessly
    • Badger getting off scotfree
    • Arvo showing up and quickly being written off or completely handwaved

I agree with evevrthing besides the first and the last
I think Telltale bring Clem back in the next episode anyway (no matter if betray her or not by the end of ep2) i mean if telltale decided javier will be with TNF then Clem would somehow get captured by TNF and bringed back to us, or if Telltale decide that javier will not join TNF then Clem would came back and somehow help us escape from TNF maybe the same way she did it for example!

And i don't think Arvo will return (atleast not in ep3)!

Yeah, that's my thought as well. Unless they manage pull another Crawford scenario, the fact that you can force Clementine along for the ride on Conrad's behalf tells me that she's likely gonna show up regardless of if you shot him because she likely has something important to do in Richmond. So that's part of why I accepted his plan, cause at least forcing her along means she gets more screentime and I get more answers.

Yeah, I was originally genuinely on board with the idea, but I lost interest as we started to get promotional material and especially now that the first episode is out. Cause if they were to bring him back, I want his presence to matter and make sense in the context of the story rather than going "Oh look, its that one guy from Season 2 that most people hates! Isn't he awful?"

  • The episode having literally nothing to do with laws.

  • Being written by George Lucas and directed by M. Night Shyalaman, featuring Nick Cage or Tommy Wiseau. Try to beat that Telltale!

    Seriously, please don't.
  • Eh, I could imagine tons of worse scenarios than Arvo dying.

Really hoping nothing bad happens to her.

  • I don't think nothing bad will happen to her if you play it right. Since David is the leader, hopefully Javier and the rest of his family will convince him not to do anything bad to Clem.

Or Lee's lost twin shows up and dies five minutes later. And you only determinately meet him if you didn't sell out Clem causing her separation.

  • The group, covered in walker's blood, tries to get through a herd of zombies and Gabe has gas. He farts loud because our protagonist couldn't make good burrito. Javi choosed playing baseball over staying at home and learning from Yaya and now whole group is in danger...

  • not enough Clementine again.

What's the Worst thing that Could Happen in Episode 3 (Above the Law)?

Kate dies and David turns out to be a shit.

Seriously, if this happens why did TellTale even hype up this 'how far would you go for your family' thing if they kill them all off and leave the two most unlikeable family members alive? What would Javi even be in it for at that point?

I'm not going to put other decent people on the line for these two. I'd rather just say: "Yo Dave, take your crappy son off my hands. Clem and AJ are my surrogate family now. Kbye."

  • While usually I agree with this, considering that he is already dead for the vast majority of people, I'm not sure that would be smart resource allocation.

Conrad is killed shortly after entering Richmond.

Amen to that! Fuck Gabe! Fuck season 3 as a whole so far and of what is inveitably to come.

Sorry to those who like this game, i mean no offence.
