Hmm, I've actually been thinking of ways they could respectfully kill Clem off this season. I've written entire sequences of events, dialogue, explanation for things that led up to this point, etc. I won't post them here of course, but I've been thinking of a few. To put it lightly, You'd have to kill a character like Clem in the most respectful and kind way possible. Despite me not thinking she's well written at all, Clem is still a very beloved character, and an important one to the overall story. You can't kill her for shock value and you certainly can't give her a poor death. The way I'd write Clem off is with subtlety and respect.
Build it up in clever foreshadowing throughout the season, have her say things that later play into the overall situation, and then leave the ending with a choice. Whatever situation she's in, let it involve all of that foreshadowing and build up, let it involve dialogue from past episodes, and make it a choice. For example, Clementine has to sacrifice herself to save Javi and the remaining group members. Javi asks Clem to take every bit of gear he has to stay alive, but Clem refuses. You can choose to either let her go or give her the gear anyway. During choice number one, you have to gear to fight off Walkers and you get to a point where you see her die, hopefully in a respectful way. But in choice number two you don't have the weaponry to fight off Walkers so you have to run away, therefore her fate is left up to imagination.
Or in another example, the subtle hints and foreshadowing throughout the season leads up to Clem being suicidal from everything that's happened. In Episode 5, Clem gets everyone to safety and realizes she doesn't need to help them anymore, giving her the perfect opportunity to commit suicide. Javier, Clem and the others are having a celebration party and Clem slips out of the crowd. Javier looks for her on the roof to give her some cake or food from the celebration, and sees her on the edge of the roof during the sunset. Clementine smiles, talking about how she's always admired the sunset and explains what she's gone through. She lets them know that they're safe for now, and she can rest easy, and so she pulls out a gun. Javier has to talk her out of it. If he fails, Clementine will thank him for all the help he's given her and end it, however if Javier succeeds, the game hints to the idea that Clem hasn't given up yet and still wants to die, leaving her fate to the imagination.
I've thought of a few others just now and I still have 5 or 6 I didn't post, but to answer the question of this post. I'd kill Clementine in a well written, well paced and well built up way, but do it respectfully. Not for shock value, but to cap off her character arc.
For me it would be similar to Lee like Clementine has to go through a big heard of walkers like Lee then she has the final show down with Da… morevid kills him but gets shot in the stomach and says her final goodbye to Aj and the fans and then goes and be with Lee
Anyone who has been on the site for more than a week already knows the majority of the forum have a parent mentality over Clem and are obsessed about her. It's getting to the point where we can't even discuss things anymore.
I'm sorry you got irked over people saying they don't want her to die, but it's a simple popular opinion that won't change, people don't want her to die at all. You're saying everyone just wants likes but really it's just that we share our common interest for Clem.
What's ironic is that your comment defending Clem got a like. Imma give it a like to help my point.
Go ahead, the only reason I commented was for likes right? That's all I was going for, not to prove a point that should have been self-discovered.
But the writers will have to do it sometime. They can't leave Clem going forever. If they let her escape, fans will keep waiting for her every season.
It's gonna be hard for the writers to let go. I'm just trying to give you all a taste of that.
Who knows, Rick from the show is still going along with other flagpole characters, if they play it smart they'll perpetuate her story for a long time. I'm sure they have ways of ending the series but not killing her off.

I'm sorry I myself love Clem too..but if she died I'd be equally sad as when Lee passed on. But I'm not overly obsessed to unhealthy and unreal levels because I know that in the walking dead no one was ever truly safe.
On the contrary I'm thinking this over obsessive Clem fanbase love could potentially make a funny South Park parody of sorts about the fans if it got anymore intense and Comedy Central or Robot Chicken got their hands on this information.
Like I just could imagine a crowd of thousands if not millions of people, with Clem hats chasing a animated Melissa Hutchison whom is escaping in a chopper trying to get away from 3,000,000 fans with Clementine hats that want to cage her and get her autograph on their caps,.. then suddenly they all fall off a cliff into the ocean in the name of Clementine with all the "D" caps floating above the surface.
They also might catch, bind and crucify or lynnch all those who dare speak up anything a slither anti-Clem to the point you'd have to whisper your minor discontent to someone else (who might turn out to be an undercover Clementine clansman).... And or still get caught thanks to their superhuman hearing abilities and must then flee the country for your life.LOL
I wouldn't kill her off even if the series was ending but if I absolutely had to I would have Lee be with her via hallucination so it's sort of peaceful for her. Let her know everything will be okay. Then the final image would be her season 1 model laying down on Lee's lap like in the RV and it would go to black like season 1.

How would I kill Clem? I would kill her in a non violent way. Here is my ideal death for her. Clem is hallucinating due to an off screen grieve injury. She finds herself alone in the middle of nowhere. After a while she arrives at the ep3 train station. She sees Kenny alive and well. Soon a train appears and Kenny is getting ready to depart. Clem rushes to Kenny as the train is starting moving. Kenny reaches his hand to Clem. Clem grabs it and gets on board. Inside the wagons she finds the walking dead cast dining. Finally Clem reunites with her parents, with Chuck, all cleaned up and nicely dressed, stating that it is time to go home. *Screen fades to white.
I know it's cheesy and stolen from Harry Potter, but I want a kinda happy ending for her.

This sounds very good. And very sad on the other side but yeah this would be an ending which you would never forget in your entire gamer life. Well written, my friend.

Yeah these forums will be All Out War if Clementine ever gets taken out. It was already like a minute to midnight just when Javier hijacked all the spotlight from Clem as playable character.
Well maybe she will die eventually...we all do....but not anytime soon. I see TellTalegames TWD as a story as told by Clementine, many years in the future.
Really, they're never actually provoked. Someone will just offer their opinion on Clementine which mightn't involve the obsessive "love" for her, and boom, the legion of Clem fanboys attack.

She just dies of pneumonia or some untreated sickness.
She's still young and medicine is scarce
I mean, it's the zombie apocalypse and you die from some sickness that isn't even considered all that serious anymore.
It's so anti-climactic, but in a good way.

It's just that we don't want her to die, how hard is it to comprehend?

Wait, but I thought David was a good guy?
I'd laugh pretty hard at that.
Theres only one simple answer to the question "How would you kill Clementine"
"You Wouldn't"
this
NF has been doing bad things and he is the leader

You should probably specify "this", being vague isn't helpful.
I did, and I replied to each segment of your comment, and I never said "everyone should love clem".
Thanks for the free likes :^).

The Will of Clem is ever present. Thine is the D-cap. If thoust ever feel the urge to act, just say it's The Will of Clem and embrace.
By having Clem cause an explosion that would take tons of walkers with her. Most likely saving someone else in the process.
.
I need somebody to stamp Clementine's face in there and add some of her own grunting lines. I would pay to see that happen.
I love the scene where she gets bit in S2E1 in the shed. While I don't want her to really die, I'd pay for well done scenes where she dies non-canon.
It would be anticlimactic as fuck to have her say her final goodbye to a toddler would it not?
Down of the dead

I was trying to think of a similar thing, minus the Harry Potter reference cause I don't get it.
We don't know how much power David has though. Badger seemed to be doing things his own way.
Yeah, the Clem fan-base can get really hostile and aggressive if provoked.
Everybody can be, if provoked.
Haha! Yep straight from the great King Kenny version in the book of Lee Chapter 1 season 1 verse 400 days in.

Dies after a deadly battle with Doomsday.

She'll probably be older than most of them soon enough. Imagine defending an adult that's way older haha.
Sorry Clementine....
An adult who's older than them and who they continue to refer to as their daughter? Yeah, I can see how that could get a little bit weird...
WTF? That is so sick. I would prefer a facehugger than that. Damn.
You sick bastard....take my like!
"Have her not be playable and act the same regardless of choices because Javier will make us more money"
Like this because everyone loved this
There's LIKES in community?
