What flashback did you hate the most?

  • Definitely Jane, she leave clem alone with AJ, that was very devastating :(

  • I think all of the flashbacks are unacceptable. I can't even describe how disappointing I was with them equally though the 'Alone' Flashback' wasn't so bad as I thought. Clementine finding food for herself and AJ wasn't so bad, it showed how much she was struggling and that she's trying her best to keep them both alive. But anyway, here are my opinions:

First, with Wellington. Some of you might have said it or thought of it but we don't get to see a lot of the place because of the attack and I really wish Wellington could've been explored more. And with Edith, we don't get to hear her backstory or learn more about her, maybe she could've been likable or a good ally to have, had she been given a chance but did she? No, she was killed off in the matter of few minutes with her as she was escaping with Clementine and AJ to get away from the attackers. Overall, Wellington should've been explored more and I have read a FanFiction of the story like it. Look up The Walking Dead Season Three, written by Drexbann15 in FanFiction.net . I hope you'll like his story as much I did.

Jane - I never liked her personally but when I did see how she died, I'll admit that was some bad writing of how to get rid of her easily. I'm guessing the writers didn't want a 'repeat' of what happened to Christa's baby (I still miss Christa btw and I'm still wondering where she is, hope she'll appear someday.) I may not have liked her because of the fact that she lied about AJ's 'apparent' death to Kenny and Clementine to get Kenny all rallied up and attack but again, her committing suicide by hanging herself was a poor choice of how to get rid of her. I think it should've been better when that family came at the end of Jane's Ending in Season 2, it would've turned out that they were working for some people and that got Jane killed. Would've been similar to how Wellington was attacked but at least it would've been better than Jane committing suicide. That's just my own opinion.

Kenny - I was shocked and angry, I asked myself 'why'. Why did they have to kill the best character in all the season? And he was my favorite too, besides Clementine. To me, Kenny always seems to deserve a second chance, despite what he's been through. He and Clementine have been through so much, and with AJ, they could've been a good family. Kenny could've been the adoptive father or you know, a guardian of Clementine and AJ, he's always thinking of them. BUT he gets killed by the car accident (I know he actually gets paralyzed and is unable to move but still.) He gets surrounded by the Walkers and is devoured by them. That's just upsetting and disrespectful of killing him off like that.

Now for my final opinion, if Telltale didn't want Kenny, Jane or Edith to appear in Season 3 then why bother? Maybe the flashbacks shouldn't have happened cause they appeared early. Or better yet, the characters should've appeared in the present time, not in flashback. Don't know what would happen if Jane appear but maybe she'd lose the baby somehow during pregnancy, it's happened to some women before, besides Christa which we still don't know how. Anyways, that's all I gotta say. I want all of you to know these are exactly how I feel about this.

  • When Kenny die, this moment was WTF,but guys i wanna know,if i leave Kenny in season 2 episode 5,in season 3 what is gonna happend

  • It makes me wonder where Telltale is going with that. I mean her finger is gone. If they decide to do like 2 more seasons or so, will she always be like that ? I like Javier a lot, but what was the point of introducing him ? Killing Clementine off ? Will Javier be the new Lee and AJ the new Clementine and Clem dies ?

  • I know the logistics of it would have been a challenge, even for an innovative company like Telltale, but if we could have had just ONE episode that fully fleshed out season 2's choices before converging again on the Javier story, I think everyone would have been happier with how season 3 began.

If Clementine's story could actually change based on the previous seasons, wouldn't that give new players' incentive to buy the older seasons, thus getting them more money?

Look at my username. Need I say more?

  • I think the problem with the Kenny flashback is that anyone who has been playing TT TWD game before could see the inevitable coming a mile away. The whole time (granted I was watching on You Tube since I had the Jane ending) I couldn't focus on Clem & Kenny's conversation or the comradery/relationship between the two (& AJ) because I just KNEW that an accident was going to happen at any second. If there had been 2-3 flashbacks with Clem & Kenny cruising along and then SUDDENLY the unexpected happened, then it would have been more shocking and devastating. As it was, it was just "oh, ok I guess that's it then."

The Jane flashback was shocking to me, but I felt that the change in Jane's temperment & attitude was jarring. It felt out of place.

The alone flashback was probably the most harrowing. It had a realistic feel to it because you could almost feel the desperation of Clem trying to keep AJ safe. After seeing that, I could understand why Clem joined the New Frontier.

The Wellington one was the worst because it was just dumb - the ease with which a few people took down an established, fortified stronghold that no doubt had contingency plans for just such a thing (you saw in season 2 how much care they took in screening anyone that approached their community) was lazy writing.

I still love the game, but come on people... I want to experience the emotional rollercoaster again like in season 1 (and the best parts of season 2.)

  • Maybe they want to have a new playable character every season.

  • Or at least have Edith, Jane and Kenny survive the first flashback, tie them in with the second flashback and them continue giving them more of a story in the flashbacks for the next episodes - it'd give them enough time to create a relatively small scene in each episode dedicated to Season Two's choices and perhaps have it come into full effect in episode 5.

At least then people wouldn't be able to complain about the season two endings having no 'lasting' effect - also adjusting Clementine's personality slightly based on previous choices would've been nice - such as her reaction to killing that one guy by accident if she hadn't killed anyone before.

  • Yes, especially after she made such a deal of wanting to be able to protect Clem and she kept saying about how much she needed her. She really didn't seem like the type - that was definitely what annoyed me most.

  • Kenny's. By far. It just felt so random. Not in the "Wow! What a suprise!" way, but more in the "Why the fuck did that just happened?" kinda way.

  • Kenny's and Jane's flashback was a bigger fuck you to the fans, than Nick and Sarah's death in Amid the Ruins.

  • Yup.

Im even more disappointed in Kenny's flashback after someone pointed out how the road they are on is completely reused. Like I assumed yeah, they reused the woods area and road area, but then someone pointed out the stop signs and the "One Way" under it and how in ep 2 they are in the exact same place Kenny died just that its night, and they removed the snow.

Like, they couldnt even make a unique area. They couldn't even make a road that actuality looked like it was dangerous to drive on.

Kenny's and Jane's flashback was a bigger fuck you to the fans, than Nick and Sarah's death in Amid the Ruins.

  • Oh,this is true,i know,but i hate this!

  • TTG doesn't care about Season 2 anymore and just killed the whole cast for bringing the new players when there were other good fucking ways.

  • I enjoyed the Wellington flashback and I think it makes sense... being able to take Kenny's hat with me made me feel good aswell :P

I thought Kenny's was the worst, but they're all a disappointment besides the alone one. It seems being alone had to be canon so future flashbacks are all the same.
