I know that, i wasn't saying there wasn't but on these forums there are an awful lot of women (girls) who don't like him and i have certainly had more discussions/arguments with them more than guys but all in all it doesn't matter. It's just something i noticed
Yes those two only. There was literally only one time in the game where i saw a huge change and that was the help or cover Luke choice and Bonnie is either nice or horrible to you after the events. With Sarah, if you refuse the pinky swear crap, nothing really changes except little dialogue things such as telling Carver "don't hit my friend" or showing Clem the gun she found in the cabin. They remove both that line and scene if you don't agree to be friends. Everything else is hardly noticeable. Damn Season 2 had problems compared to S1 but this new game makes S2 seem godly!
I spy with my little eye a comment that has 10 words.

Toward the end of Season 2 we are to believe that Kenny is "losing it" due to the loss and pain he's suffered. After he fights Jane he says that when he thought AJ had died "It all went black" and he had no control over himself. His extreme acts would be inconsistent if he all of a sudden started acting homicidal without showing any signs of this before. In Season 1 however, he tries to get Ben killed as he does Arvo after losing loved ones. Him brutally murdering Carver should be a sign that this is a changed man.
He seems inconsistent to me too, at times. His behavior is so extreme and I don't know if I buy that it was deliberate to try to make him a … morecontroversial character. Maybe we're just supposed to chalk it up to him being hit in the head one too many times.
"Aw shit, I'm sorry for doing that really rude thing, Clem... I shouldn't do that. Especially not in front of you or AJ."
proceeds to beat the shit out of a scared russian kid before he even showed signs of doing anything truly evil.
The thing with Kenny, though, is he has an inability to control his actions completely at times, due to his anger. Sure, he says he won't do this and that, and can truly believe that he can control his anger when a drastic situation comes, but the reality is, especially in season 2, he just can't and often times snaps when he sees something he concludes to be an injustice, ending up feeling guilt and regret for it later. He doesn't intend for the likes of AJ or Clem to see him in that behaviour, but he just can't help it at times. To him, Arvo had been directly involved in a group who not long before had tried to kill him, a little girl and an infant, so for the rest of the group to decide to just let him live, obviously enraged Kenny and made it difficult for him to trust the teenager.
And then Luke dies on the lake, which Arvo had claimed to be safe, so Kenny concluded that it must've been Arvo's fault and proceeded to lash out. Whether it is or not Arvo's fault is completely up for the player's interpretation of the events, but from Kenny's perspective, Arvo was a bad person who'd fucked over their group and the best way to deal with that, is by beating the holy fuck out of him.
while Kenny's complexity gives him a sense of realism I've never seen in any other video game.
So I'm gonna say a few things about t… morehis. I understand his complexity as a character and I respect it. Kenny has some real depth. But, complexity doesn't make for a well written character. Alex Shepard from Silent Hill: Homecoming is a complex character, but he's really poorly written for the most part. Also, if Kenny gives you a sense of realism you've never seen in any other video game, I'd like to suggest you a few other games if you don't mind. If Kenny gives you that sense and you like him for that, I think you'd like certain other characters with far more depth and realism than Ken.
I don't really see how he's ever been inconsistent either.

Sure, suggest away. While I do understand that complexity doesn't make character good, I feel that it does in this case.

It's really not inconsistent when you look at his actions after Carver beats him. He kills Carver in a brutal fashion, screams down Clementine (possibly twice), automatically jumps to killing Arvo after the firefight was over, and possibly beats him unconscious that night. He tells Clementine at the end of No Going Back that he can't control himself anymore, even though he would like for Clementine and AJ to keep their innocence and safety.

I agree that Chloe was a well written character, it's just that she kind of hogged the screen time just like Kenny. I'm sure there were people who wanted to spend more time with people like Warren and Kate

I don't hate Kenny though, that's the difference. I really like Kenny and I see good in him, you'll notice I didn't comment that I hated Kenny BECAUSE of how poorly written he is, but I said "I just think he's poorly written", meaning I don't hate him, I just don't like his writing.
As for Chloe, I can definitely agree with you there. Except for hating her, I didn't hate many of the characters in LiS because I relate to quite a few of the situations. I have my own Kate, Chloe, Victoria and David in my own life, so while they are hateable characters, I can't exactly hate them because I know where they're coming from.

That's fair.
As for suggestions, I'd recommend Silent Hill 3, The Uncharted series, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Metal Gear Solid 4, The Last of Us and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. All of those games have great character development and writing, and everyone is usually down to earth and relatable.

Of course man, I'm not gonna get pissed at you over vocabulary stuff. I guess you're right in that aspect, but I'd count "He's" as one word in the context of the comment.
Makes me laugh how this guy is still such a big talking point in the series despite not being relevant for like 2 years now (apart from the garbage flashback in s3 which the people that shot him didn't even get to see). Anyway, season 3 needs another Kenny pretty desperately anyway in my opinion, considering how underwhelming it generally is. Clementine needed a younger Kenny type character and have a friendship with him or her similar to what Lee did with Kenny in season 1. This would have made for a great imo but it's impossible now.
I take back what i said in the first line of that last paragraph lol. And now that I know you are a woman speaks volumes as now i know why you dislike him so much.
Have a lovely day Meggy
now i know why you dislike him so much.
No, you don't.
I literally just said in my first post that Kenny is abusive (i'm talking post-S1, but he's an asshat in S1 anyways).
Can't even take a fucking joke.

Actually, I wanna say you do get the scene itself, she just doesn't ask you to show her how to do it. I'd have to check.
You actually don't see the scene at all. After she turns round and starts crying it just cuts to the scene of her looking out of the window instead of Clem sitting with her. Only if you pinky swear will she show you the gun and ask how to use it.
It's kinda sad that you can say that confidence.
Why? Maybe because it's true? It is sad. Sad that Telltale have been a sinking ship for the last 4 years or so. They used to make great games pre 2013 but comparing the quality of all of their games after TWD S1 to those they made before it really shows how bad this new game is. The only thing worth any interest is the story
showing Clem the gun she found in the cabin.

Well, I myself am a huge fan of Kenny (He's actually one of my favorite characters in anything TWD related) but there are plenty of valid re… moreasons for people to dislike him. He's hot-blooded and always demanding immediate action, even in situations that call for a more cautious and thoughtful approach (Like the hostage situation at the lodge where he got Walter killed or, depending on your viewpoint, the Larry situation). He has a volatile temper that gets worse as the series progresses and so much shit happens to him, and his inability to really cope with those things leads him to lash out at others even if they're trying to help him. He does questionable/bad things. The fact that your choices affect his behavior toward you (At least in Season 1) causes him to act differently to different players.
You're right, there is a difference, at least from how I see it.
Loyalty is more of a mutual system where two groups can learn to make compromises and consistently support one and another in spite of conflicting ideals and opinions. Obedience is when one group asks another to do favors for them and expects them to always come to their side no matter the circumstances.
In Kenny's case, it's less to do with loyalty and more to do with whether he can rely on anyone who is willing to obey his every word.
His comment was in fact racist , assuming. Person of color cannpic locks is racist. I doubt youre black but if you are that just means youre too stupid to spot racism

Not well written?? LOL!!!
You do realize He's and He Is can be separate things, right?
Well.. I like Kenny. And i choice to look away and let kenny kill jane (my opinion)

Poorly? Chloe Price from LIS is one of my most hated characters of all time, yet I think she was a very well written and developed character.
Sure, suggest away. While I do understand that complexity doesn't make character good, I feel that it does in this case.

I believe in your sentence "he's" was used as "he is" (poorly written), so I counted this as two words. No hard feelings over it man, it's just math.

Kate is the only character that I like in LIS.

Oh it's Meggy again! Hi!
You said it not me lol
Because he survived for so long? Hahaha!
I really like Kenny's character though, he's really relatable. It sucks that he's killed in a lowly manner.
H I L A R I O U S

O R I G I N A L
Original i'll give you that. Don't recall anyone else genuinely thinking he is not a well written character i admit but i highly disagree
Actually, I wanna say you do get the scene itself, she just doesn't ask you to show her how to do it. I'd have to check.
It's kinda sad that you can say that confidence.
Actually, no he doesn't. He starts beating Arvo up, Mike and Luke break it up and get between them, and THEN pulls out his gun with intent to kill.
Take that shit nickname away from me.
Well, he's whiny, stubborn, prone to anger and childish outbursts, and is quick to turn on you for not agreeing with him on every thing
But he also can display great loyalty, bravery and leadership skills when prodded the right way
Jeez now look who needs to lighten up. Chill! Lol

Too pure for the world
Despite my hate on LIS, her suicide attempt is one of my favourite moments in video game history.
OMG it has been so long since I have seen you how are you?
Yeah, you have to be careful what you say. That's why she did in fact kill herself on my first playthrough. I cried like a baby.
You're right, there is a difference, at least from how I see it.

*assuming a person of color can pick locks is racist, damn typos
I didn't say I like it because I hate her. It was just so well written.
What? I've never said you hated her.
