  • If you're at the point where you feel like this, you should probably stop buying TT games, wait for reviews, or wait for large discounts on the games.

Anyone else feel like they're in an abusive relationship with Telltale? We (the fans) are quick to forgive, always looking to fix things,

  • I don't think reviews would be the best... ANF reviews are generally really positive and I hate ANF.
    Maybe user reviews yeah.

Don't worry, i already feel like I should stop buying their games. Not going to stop expressing my opinion regarding the quality of their games.

  • I still like ANF...but yes the customer relations...pure bullshit.

  • I like ANF but Telltale are just going down like Ubisoft and Capcom.

Please make better contributions to the thread than this.

  • I feel like we should pay for each episode separately. We bought the whole season blindly, based on fame of the previous games, and ended up thinking was NF really worth it.

For me it was the choice between Javier's story and a night out with alcohol. Perhaps I could've met the love of my life and now I'm stuck with Javi.

  • This is still available on consoles. I've been wanting this option for each TT game on PC as long as I've been here, but it's never been an option.

  • At least Capcom and Ubisoft have their own original IP's to screw over.

  • As somebody who's had to grow up being mentally abused, I don't take that term lightly. I'm disappointed too, but seriously, you're basically calling them abusers, and I don't think they've done anything to earn that type of title.

  • Wow, really? That's crazy, I thought the season pass was a universal option, not the only one for PC gamers. Everything surrounding the VGAs convinced me to buy them one at a time on my console, but that's kinda dirty that you can't do the same on every platform.

  • I am rapidly losing interest in Telltale.

  • Butthurt? I'm loving watching everyone getting increasingly upset about this. But if it makes you feel better, I'll say that I'm "butthurt". lol ;)

To most it wasn't. Seeing you butthurt in every topic about what's wrong with it makes everyone's day

  • Kenny and Jane are the same person!

  • There are many issues that need to be addressed and just because you enjoyed it doesn't mean you are entitled to downplay the valid concerns of others.

Ah yes the " valid concerns" rebuttal. Relax, my comment is not going to downplay your concerns. Your opinions are safe.

Good to hear that you are somehow happy about the huge amount of upset fans and criticism. There are many issues that need to be addressed and just because you enjoyed it doesn't mean you are entitled to downplay the valid concerns of others.

just kiddin haha they were never out in the first place.
  • Awww, that's adorable, this irrelevant saiyan transformation is enjoying watching fans criticize his favorite game. Good luck, little buddy!

  • Cool beans man, we love your entitled attitude. Relax man, we're not gonna stop your millennial whining.

Would it be overly upsetting to anyone if Telltale just restarted the season? I still think they should go back to No Time Left and do an alternate story where Lee lives. From then on we have a completely different story and Telltale gets a second chance at Season 2.

  • It's far too late to do that at this point. The best thing they can do is try and make the last 3 episodes in ANF as good as they can and end the series on that note. Theres no need for Telltale to continue making further installments especially after A New Frontier.

Yep. Even if the episodes were the worst in history, that wouldn't happen. This is without mentioning ANF still has mostly positive reviews on Steam, an 83 on metascore, and a 70 on the user score for metacritic.

Also not to mention that S1's ending is considered almost universally great.

  • Be mad because I'm a bit tired of Troy Baker in things. He does good voice acting I'm just :(

How would you react if Troy Baker makes a voice-acting for the first time in The Walking Dead franchise?

  • I kinda wish they didn't continue twd. Season 1 was amazing.

  • Yeah I know it's just legitimately depressing to see one of my favorite gaming series go up in flames like this. I hope Telltale can turn this around, I don't want this to end on a whimper.

  • Maybe it's just me, but I think it's all a matter of perspective-- it doesn't have to go up in flames. It only does so if you choose to adopt a more negative outlook on it. You can always look back fondly at S1, and even S2 if you enjoyed that as well. Whatever happens to the rest of S3 and onwards, it won't ever tarnish the quality of the previous seasons. They'll still be the same as they were the first time you played them. Find solace in the fact that no matter where the series ends up, no matter how unsavory the canonical 'end' to the series might turn out to be, the good that occurred along the way will always be there.

Not everything gets a graceful ending. But it's up to you whether you choose to remember something for how it ended, or for how it was.

Or maybe I'm just tired, and spouting vaguely deep-sounding philosophical nonsense again. I suppose that's a possibility, too.

  • Not officially, but in your heart they were.

just kiddin haha they were never out in the first place.

  • I check in at least once daily.
    "Episode Three coming soon..."
Yeah........ Within this quarter of the year? I mean... "soon" has a different meaning to different people....

  • As I've stated elsewhere, it's basically Mass Effect 3 all over again. Your choices in the first two were almost entirely irrelevant.

I'm glad that I stayed in Wellington because at least there is a tiny fraction of a hope that Kenny is still alive in my story.
But the town got overrun so quickly that it made a complete joke of it even being "the promised land" or whatever.
It got raided by thugs just as quickly as any other settlement. It took--what-- five minutes? lol So what was the point? They could have just settled down in any other random place.

  • Factoring in everything I'd say we'll get it late March to early June.

  • I imagine people played the previous seasons because they enjoyed them; not because of what choices might mean in future seasons (which experience should say is not much based on the effects of choices in other games).

  • "based on the effects of choices in other games"

which is why the Dragon Age series is effing epic... they devote a lot of time and energy to many different choices

Season 1 was the best by far. But i still quite enjoy ANF, unlike most on here

But I can't understand why there's no adventure left. Finding batteries, getting medicine in a time limit, trying to get the barn door open etc

It's now just a pure interactive movie

  • I agree with you. I've also been missing the interactive hubs that were in season 1. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to explore the area, talk with my fellow survivors to get to know them better, and solve puzzles to progress the story. Now it feels too much like an interactive movie rather than a point and click game. I wish that Telltale would implement more hubs into the future ANF episodes. Not sure that'll actually happen, but one can dream. :)

  • The new season is horrible. It´s like you´re waiting for a movie to end, without doing anything valuable. I want to explore areas like we did in season 1. And Javier? Really. Why doesn´t the narrative stay with Clementine as the protagonist?

  • I recently replayed the first episode of S1 and gameplay was different back then.

For example, Lee "helping" Carley to "repair" the radio. Camera got changed from 3rd person to 1st, you got to shake it a little, had the impression like you were really holding it yourself. You could move it, turn around, interact with buttons. It felt natural, and the puzzles weren't too complicated, therefore it was a pleasure to find some batteries in a video game.

  • Why doesn´t the narrative stay with Clementine as the protagonist?

Because TT assumed it was the right time for a fresh blood, as S3 was supposed to show different angle of TWD universe and even lure some new players who weren't familiar with this series, thus wouldn't play as already established protagonist.

  • Moving to June already! What a time to be alive!

    December is more likely, though.
