(If you gues… moresed "Thats a very weird way of incorporating the Super Bowl and Walking Dead or "Hey its talking about Javier but the picture is focused on Clem again", you guessed right!)
You know, I really wonder what's going to happen to TWD after New Frontier. The sales have been dropping since S1 and the critics are harsher on S3 than ever before in the franchise. I doubt they will ever drop entirely the serie, I'm more curious about the approach the next episodes/season will have. Do you think Telltale will persist with their line of work (one sitting episodes, trying hard to appeal new customers, focusing more on actions than hubs and character development, yada yada...) or will they change the formula to ressemble more Season 1, or maybe something else entirely?

OK, I worded that a bit onesided, I dont mean that your opinion is wrong, just that we have differing opinions, I never felt bored during those segments
It was busy work...especially when you find out your season one saves got lost so you have to replay...then the getting the meds becomes mind numbing...and the train is boring...that's a lot of filler.
I agree with you. ANF has been pretty good so far with the storyline and the characters. And I do wish they had more of the explore side of the game, it seems like they have left most of that behind. Though in some episodes of S1 they way overdid the looking around part trying to find stuff, like on the train. Took me so long to figure it all out that it got boring just with the plot just sitting there.
Season 1 was the best by far. But i still quite enjoy ANF, unlike most on here
But I can't understand why there's no adventure left. Find… moreing batteries, getting medicine in a time limit, trying to get the barn door open etc
It's now just a pure interactive movie
Wow...that was really deep. It just sucks to see the series now when I think of younger me getting all excited about the potential of Season 2. I just feel that something as great as Season 1 should have a fitting predecessor and lead up to a climactic conclusion. I know the series will have to end eventually, but let's at least look back on it thinking "man, what a great journey" instead of pondering what could have been. We shouldn't have to worry ourselves over "what could have been" when I know Telltale is capable of pulling off something with as much impact as Season 1 did.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it's all a matter of perspective-- it doesn't have to go up in flames. It only does so if you choose to adop… moret a more negative outlook on it. You can always look back fondly at S1, and even S2 if you enjoyed that as well. Whatever happens to the rest of S3 and onwards, it won't ever tarnish the quality of the previous seasons. They'll still be the same as they were the first time you played them. Find solace in the fact that no matter where the series ends up, no matter how unsavory the canonical 'end' to the series might turn out to be, the good that occurred along the way will always be there.
Not everything gets a graceful ending. But it's up to you whether you choose to remember something for how it ended, or for how it was.
Or maybe I'm just tired, and spouting vaguely deep-sounding philosophical nonsense again. I suppose that's a possibility, too.
I actually like how you don't play as Clem in this season. I do hope that if they do come out with another season (hopefully) that they return back to Clem, but I think that its cool to see how you got to basically raise her and teach her how to survive in S1, apply them and really shape her in S2 and now from a completely different perspective see how all the things that have transpired in the previous season turn out for Clem from a perspective that doesn't know Clem at all. It really adds great depth and story.
And I also disagree, the new season for me has actually be really good. A lot of drama, yet with still with great character development for the main characters and side characters.
The new season is horrible. It´s like you´re waiting for a movie to end, without doing anything valuable. I want to explore areas like we did in season 1. And Javier? Really. Why doesn´t the narrative stay with Clementine as the protagonist?
That's true. I remember ALOT of people very angry about playing as Clem when season 2 was announced. Now they are the same people complaining about Javi. Some people just cant be satisfied ever. I guess you get what you ask for.
BTW, I also was glad that I would be able to play as Clem in S2
Season 2 was not horrible, but it most certainly was not as good as Season 1. Read fan fiction rewrites of Season 2, it opens your eyes to how much wasted potential occurred in it. I have a lot of problems with Season 2, but the one that tops the list is that they never followed through on the characters they created. They made me feel for these people in one episode only to kill them off in unceremonious and anticlimactic ways. There was so much that could've been good, but it just wasn't.
Why would they need a second chance at season 2? I thought season 2 was great, probably even better than season 1, but thats mostly because … moreof my personal experience with season 2, but season 2 was still really good, and yet everyone here is acting like season 2 is terrible, or ruined season 1 or something.
I dont even have a big problem with season 3 really, except for the fact that they have pretty much thrown everything from the previous seasons in the background to tell this story about Javier, where I feel the season would have been much better off from Clems perspective, since Clem will be different based on peoples choices, so people can act out "their Clem" again, while Javier becomes a secondary character, which would mean that his backstory would possibly mean something to the player, or they could do some interesting stuff with him
Actually wait, let's put aside the sarcastic remarks for a second, because I have the perfect solution; we should all just forget this series ever existed! You know, get some of those memory wipe things from Men in Black and poof
We couldn't possibly find anything to get depressed about
except that it never happened... but wait-- if we wiped our memories, we wouldn't even remember that it happened in the first place, so we couldn't get upset about it not happening because that memory would no longer exist
What color is Clementine's hat? Blue or purple? Take this poll. https://strawpoll.com/zc5zebs
I realize some people might think it's bo… moreth but try to pick one.
(I added the gender thing because I have noticed that most guys say it's purple. I want to see if there is some correlation.)
This might sound weird, but I actually agree with you that season 1 is better than season 2, its just that, for me, season 2 was better, because I really enjoyed playing as Clem, and playing as her instead of having her as a moral compass, made me make some decisions I would not have made otherwise, and it immersed me into the game in a whole other way than season 1, I actually felt like I was playing as Clementine, rather than in season 1, where I felt like I sort of just projected my own morals onto Lee. I also felt alot more immersed in the Walking Dead universe, because Clem was an 11 yearold girl, who doesnt have the body strength to go against the adults for example, so she would not be able to go between Kenny and Larry like Lee did in season 1 for example, and with her background of leaving Lee behind/shooting him, she would not be nearly as trusting or forgiving of people getting bit, (hence cutting off Saritas arm), it was just a whole nother experience for me that season 1 did not give in the same way, (thereby nothing wrong against season 1, it was also amazing).
But even so, even though season 1 is better than season 2, except in my head due to the experience I had, I still think people are hating way too hard on season 2 sometimes, the only real thing that I can think off that was pretty bad, was how they started and ended the whole Carver thing in like 2 episodes, instead of having that be the focus of the season, but even then I was having a blast, so it was never really a problem for me. But I have noticed that I tend to not have nearly as many problems with games as other people, since I basically just zone out completely while playing a game, I cant be bothered to consider things like, "this character is badly written", because it completely ruins the immersion for me, and thereby the experience

I swear, each day I come on here, this place manages to make me feel more depressed and full of self-loathing than I already was the previous day
I try to be the optimist in life, but this shit is like fighting an uphill battle on a mountain of soap, in the rain, while both of my legs are shotguns, crudely attached to my leg stumps, and fire each time I take a step, but they don't actually fire bullets, just a stream of soapy water that makes everything even more slippery
This place has transcended above simply being disappointed in S3
It has become a non-corporeal being that is literally made out of disappointment
It's all fun and games until they try this with a Disney/Marvel franchise and get their asses blacklisted out of the industry. This could be a turning point for Telltale, especially now that they're working for the big boys. Disney has been hyping the GotG up for a while and they expect a solid episode, with little to no bugs and a decent length, on time to tie in with the movie. If TTG can't even do that right then they're done.
Contrary to what they believe, Warner Bros., Lionsgate, and Disney don't need them. They don't need their money (especially Disney lmao) and won't lose any sleep dropping them. They're perfectly expendable and if they're not doing their part, they're going to find who can. That's how capitalism works.

To be fair, no Walking Dead game has really had a campaign longer than 10 hours, unless you really took your time.
Season 1 was just unde… morer 10 hours, and season 2 was around the 7-8 hour mark.
That being said, if season 3 keeps up the hour long episodes, we're looking at 5-6 hours. That's not enough time to get to know and get invested in these characters, I'd say. I hope Telltale amps up the episode length for episodes 3-5.
Like I said before, 2 hour episodes like season 1 would be best, but 90 minute episodes would be enough time to still have fast-paced episodes while also having some downtime to get to know the characters.

"Look people, we could be off duty on this super important Sunday, but we're working instead! Can't you see how important this is? We do work!"

I don't hate season 3, I hate the lies and false advertising.
The best we can hope for is Telltale finally ends the series after A New Frontier.
OK, I worded that a bit onesided, I dont mean that your opinion is wrong, just that we have differing opinions, I never felt bored during those segments
Quite honestly, I'm hoping for this too. I hope Telltale moves on from Walking Dead after New Frontier.
No.

They're doing that right now and clearly it's going so well.
No, I actually like Season 3. Most people do, just not the people on this forum...

To Naughty Dog.
Shut your trap.

yes, it's perfect
Blue...female.
That's a lot of shutting.
Yes...I am not ready to say goodbye to Clementine.
Sell it back to Sean Vanaman

Do you at least feel a little better now?
Hmm, I have 16 hours in season 1, with 1 playthrough, ok, 1 1/2 400 days playthrough and 1 playthrough of season 1

You ok homie?
