* Life is Strange - 20 minutes in and cringed the hell out
* Oblivion - As someone already said, rescued Martin then modded the game, story… more was pretty dull too
* Darksiders 2 - The DLC's ruined it for me
* GTA 4 - Duller story than San Andreas
* Telltale's Game of Thrones - Played to Episode three, I love GoT, I love Telltale, but imo they don't mix
* Dishonored - too much stealth for my taste
* Outlast and Layers of Fear - got too scary too fast
* Fallout 3 ,NV- it just gos on and on and on, story was dull
* Valhalla - needs more gameplay
* ...
GTA 4 - Duller story than San Andreas
GTA 4 is better than GTA 5 in my opinion but to each their own.
Outlast and Layers of Fe… morear - got too scary too fast
I played Amnesia and I was scared as fuck but that didn't stop me from playing.
I taught myself a lesson that day. Never buy games when you're drunk. I guess I thought it would be a great game because it was made by Telltale, but I proved myself wrong when I tried it out the next day. I fell asleep while playing it and could not continue playing after episode 3, because it was just so damn bad. It was quite obvious that it was targeted for kids, but I still bought it for some reason. Lesson learned.
Minecraft: Story Mode.

The Last Of Us.
Yes, seriously. I'm not trolling, so I will not go into detail. Basically, the story wasn't enough to keep me playing what I feel is otherwise a pretty generic game(mechanics).
Amnesia a Machine for Pigs is such an interesting story, and a very atmospheric game, the times I enjoyed it the most was actually when there was no monsters, and you were walking around the house or town.
That being said, Horror games dont really scare me, even though I would like them to, they unsettle me, but mostly the reason I dont play them is because I often feel like, especially in games like Amnesia, that the monsters prevent my progression in the story, rather than make the game scary
sigh
Well, I know I've got tons of games on Steam I haven't finished (blame the wonderful Humble Bundle for that), so it's a bit hard to … morekeep track; But significant off the top of my head games? Wellll...
* Still haven't gotten one good run on Tharsis (PS4) yet. I die at turn 3-4 usually.
* I'll be speared for this, but I haven't finished Undertale. I started it, got to the part just after you meet Sans and Papyrus, saved and quit the game, but never came back to it. I guess I didn't get to the point in the game where it really hooked me. But I do think I'll restart my 20-minute save file soon and dig into this game to find out why people adore it so much.
* I have a few older Telltale Games in my library that I haven't gotten to yet. Only on Strong Bad EP3. I still have Sam and Max 3, Jurassic Park, BTTF, and the two Puzzle Agent games. Yeah, I'm not too used to old school puzzles. I just find the solution can be too "outside-the-box" sometimes.
* Also, things like Amnesia: AMFP and F.E.A.R, because 2spoopy4me.
Well, Borderlands is a very different game from Tales from the Borderlands, the only thing they really have in common is the universe.
I really enjoyed my time with Borderlands 1 though, but I have never finished it because I tend to get bored before I do.
Tales from the borderlands was amazing though, alot better than I thought it would be, and alot more humorous than I expected. The dynamic of changing between 2 characters was also really interesting, and I was surprised at how easy it was to switch back and forth between the 2, since I played each character with a very different personality, (Fiona was very cheeky, and not afraid to talk back to people, where Rhys was a scared guy, who was nice to everyone, except Handsome Jack, since he wasnt a physical being, so I talked shit to him all the time)
I always thought Minecraft: Story Mode would be something fun to buy when its like 80% off or something so I dont have to waste money on it, and then just try it out, is it not even worth trying if you get it for cheap and go in expecting nothing?

Oh my god, Darksiders 2, I enjoyed that game so much, I was having so much fun in the land of the dead and the forge lands, and then they decided to turn it into a shitty first person shooter when you reach earth, I havent finished that game either

I guess if you go in without too much expectations you might enjoy it. I went in with pretty big expectations (Simply because Tales From the Borderlands was an amazing game even though I didn't like the original Borderlands games, so I figured it might be the same case here) and got pretty disappointed when I realized how kid friendly the game was. I mean I knew it was and that's why I had originally skipped it, but after a night out with some friends I for some reason thought it would be cool to try it out, for full price of course.

Yeah, the big difference here is probably the intended audience, I might just not bother, since part of what I like about Telltales games, is how they all have a very serious tone, but can still manage to be fun and entertaining, and even when the story doesnt grab me too much like it was the case with Tales From the Borderlands, (dont get me wrong, the story was good, it just wasnt what made the game so great for me), the games often have great and interesting characters, Tale from the Borderlands kept me intrigued by its interesting characters, especially Fiona and Sasha was my favorite characters, I absolutely loved Sashas Cheeky and rebellous attitude, and Fiona was just so cheeky that I just had so much joy every second I played her, the way you could talk shit to people without them really realizing that you had talked down to them, that shit was great. Tales also had this great dynamic with playing 2 characters, and I was surprised at how easy it was to change between the different mindsets I have given the characters (Fiona: talking down to people without them realizing and generally just being a cheeky person, Rhys: a scared man who did not dare talk down to anyone except Handsome Jack since Handsome Jack had no way to hurt him.
I was hoping I could get some dumb fun out of Minecraft, but maybe thats not even the case, I dont know.

I couldn't finish GTA IV (Mainly because my disc broke and I had to get another one, but the save file had been deleted somehow and I didn't want to go through all of that again. Also there are no checkpoints in the missions, so you need to restart the whole mission if you fail.)
Also Slender: The Arrival
I got up the the tunnel chapter and when I finished that I just thought "I don't want to experience such trauma again in my life."
Well I finished that game but when I tried to do a second playthrough I couldn't because it suddenly hit me how bad the game actually is its mediocre at best
Brothers. Not because I didn't like it, I actually thought it was pretty cool. But I basically got to a point where I couldn't do the next puzzle because of some glitch. If I remember correctly I had to carefully walk over a pile of bones and take a key which just wouldn't happen. I had a look on youtube, followed in those steps and it still didn't work. I was actually pretty bummed but maybe I'll play it again someday and get to finish.
when there was no monsters, and you were walking around the house or town
Yep. That's the problem I have with it. I got to the part where I know the monster has escaped, but I never know where it is and when it will show up. So, that dread just prevents me from advancing.
Horror games dont really scare me
Ah, you're lucky then. I've only really completed 2 horror games, but those leaned on the edge of Action as well as Horror. (Outlast and Alien: Iso)

I couldn't finish the last level on Psychonauts. I am ashamed as it's one of my favorite games. The camera and the controls screwed me on the jumping from net to net.

I never could finish Kingdoms Under Fire: The Crusaders.
I always got stuck in the final mission of Kendal/first mission of Regnier for a bug in the game.
Such a shame, it's a great game imo.
I never finished Undertale because F#ck that Sh#t. With Undertale I realised that those game weren't for me.
I also never finished Witcher (the first one) because of the nightmarish controls. I also have not finished Witcher 2 but still want to finish it. But for TW2 counts the same reason for why I haven't finished TW1. WT3 is in my opinion the best game out to date.
Yep. That's the problem I have with it. I got to the part where I know the monster has escaped, but I never know where it is and when it will show up. So, that dread just prevents me from advancing.
I dont know if this counts as a spoiler, or ruining the game for some, but since its so old, and I figured it out myself during playing, I guess its ok, in Amnesia, the monsters are actually not there most of the time, they spawn when you trigger some event, and you will always know when they spawn, since they always make some sort of noise or clue that they will be there, in Amnesia the Dark Descent, you could mostly just crouch in the dark whenever you heard a monster, until the music stopped and you would be ok, maybe the reason it never scared me was because I cheated the game in sense? who knows, but mostly the monsters would spawn on a set path, and then despawn again once you had avoided it, this is only the behaviour in Amnesia though, and I doubt many other horror games does it this way.
While I can see Alien Isolation being an action game, isnt Outlast very similar to Amenesia? you get chased around by "monsters", with no way to fight back?

I'm not sure how many people here were unfortunate enough to have known or played this monumental bore of a meta game that is up its ass so far, I figured I was playing (?) the worlds most hipster porno... minus any of the erotic exploitation value.
Anyways, as a 17 year old, I had saw this case sitting in GameStop and found the premise of a self aware game hero taken to the nth degree kind of fascinating. Took it home, popped it in, and was immediately disappointed by the absolutely boring gameplay and level designs... Wouldn't you believe the first level takes you through boring warehouses and sewers all while having no fun value whatsoever to keep you enthralled all while dumb shit happens at super sonic speeds.
I got up to some pirate part and continued dying without warning, whether it was a glitch or not was not important to me cause my mind at that point was basically made up. The next day, I returned it and got a full refund...
It was the fastest I've ever returned a game, within 24 hours I was only 3 levels from the end as well as I had figured out later... A complete waste of game design.
Well, Outlast to me is Action-y because here are a lot of "chase scene moments" and a lot of the escaping is fast paced parkour methods of escape. Plus, there are a enough scripted moments of falling out of windows and being knocked out that I can catch my breath. Amnesia, however, I know nothing about.

Amnesia was laughable. I don't see why people are scared by that game.
Are you joking?

No. I played it and didn't find it scary in the slightest.
Falling sleep while playing a game is pretty funny and cool.
Maybe gave up too soon? I didn't like it much at first too.
What scares you the most?

Both the writing and voice acting in the game are stilted.
I couldn't finish the last level on Psychonauts. I am ashamed as it's one of my favorite games. The camera and the controls screwed me on the jumping from net to net.
That game was fun but yeah I remember a few times that I got hung up on something in the environment. I did eventually beat it though.
If you mean that meat section, I also remember it being pretty rough to get through. Doesn't help that the platforming in that game wasn't great.

Lollipop Chainsaw, because the boss battles were too damn hard for me.
From the top of my head, I never finished Bioshock 2, Far Cry 3, Outlast or Oblivion. Just sort of lost interest in them all.
Really? You know you can adjust the difficulty, right? They all have pretty simple strategies.
