Question for all Kenny fans
Hi guys, what do you think about Kenny's endings and theri outcomes on season 3? After seeing the flashbacks do you prefer the Stay with Kenny or Enter Wellington ending? I honestly can't decide because if you enter Wellington you get an emotional goodbye with kenny, but if you stay with him he survives 2-3 years with clem and AJ and they develop an even better relationship.
Which one do you loyal Kenny fans prefer?

I'd choose the Wellington ending because Kenny killed by car accident is just terrible writing and conclusion for a character like him. I always liked the way he sacrifices for Clem and AJ's safety. Walking away like a boss. I'd rather have his fate unknown instead of dying like dog shit.
I love Kenny, however considering his cardboard model and cheesy death in S3, I prefer to shoot that sunovabitch and tell him he's gonna see Katjaa and Duck. Like they say, love is blind (Kenny's-eye-pun intended).
You say that like no one who shot Kenny is a Kenny fan.
If you are a Kenny fan , why would you shoot him?
ENDINGS IN S2: cool
ENDINGS IN S3: not cool
shooting him feels wrong , i can't bring myself to do that , i prefer to watch him walking away from wellington , it's much more fitting for his character
Because I had to. I hated doing it, Kenny was hands down my favorite character. But I couldn't in good conscience let him kill someone knowing that I could've stopped it. I'd have shot Jane if the roles were reversed.
In my playthrough I couldn't decide which option to pick. I wanted Clementine to be safe, but I also wanted to stay with Kenny since I knew him since the beginning and didn't want to let go. But eventually I went with Kenny. Even though it would have been more safe in Wellington I was still thinking about if it could really stay safe for years after Clementine gets there. I also was thinking about how Kenny and Clementine would, like you said, develop a better relationship. Then ANF came along.
Kenny gets killed with probably one of the worst deaths that a character like Kenny should have gotten. He gets launched out of a car and gets paralysed. I would've rather it be like Lee's when he is bitten and dies a slow death. Or like Ben's death at the end of episode 4 (If you choose to kill him there), saving Clementine and A.J's life while taking his own away. That would've been the perfect death for Kenny.
I didn't know that Kenny would've died like that but if I did I would've probably chosen to stay at Wellington so she wouldn't have to go through that terribly written death. I also saw the ending if you choose to stay at Wellington and that was a very emotional ending. But then again like I thought, Wellington gets invaded and Clementine has to leave so either way she is still alone in the end without Kenny.
Clem and Kenny leaving Wellington together is my personal canon-ending to the series.
sometimes i think Clem's story should have ended with season 2 , and season 3 should have been about the first days of the apocalypse as Javier.
As a loyal fan I kept my ending where I stayed with Kenny. It was worth it for him to have that 2-3 years with the kids. He is happier than ever and can talk about Duck in a reflective manner. It seemed like he finally found some peace and happiness during this time. His death is horrible but he still sacrifices himself to save the kids.
r/TeamKenny forever and ever.
His season 3 death wasn't even emotional, it felt rushed. I will choose the Wellington ending for my next playtrough , at least Kenny's goodbye will make me shed some tears
While Kenny's death in season 3 is fitting and sounds good on paper, with him dying to protect Clementine and AJ, it was executed pretty poorly, feeling cheap and not long enough. If Kenny was gonna be relegated to flashbacks in season 3 anyway, why not have him alive throughout the season building up to an emotional death or goodbye in the finale on par with his goodbye if you stay at Wellington?
That being said, I still prefer it to staying in Wellington. Why? He was actually happy. It's true that, if you stay in Wellington, Kenny may still be out there somewhere, and he'll have peace of mind believing that Clementine and AJ are safe inside Wellington, but it's very likely that he'll never see them ever again.
If you stay with Kenny, however, then he gets an extra year or two of relative peace with Clem and AJ, who he cares for as if they were his actual family. Mentally, you can tell he's doing a lot better at the start of season 3 than he was in season 2, and the conversation prior to the crash was a nice heartwarming moment between Kenny and Clem.
I mean if it comes to his death, S2 did it better.
Wellington Ending Best Ending.
How can other endings even compete?
Both great endings and both have terrible flashbacks.
No doubt , but why would you kill him if you can get to Wellington and say your goodbye there?
Agree, especially the stay with kenny one. I feel like the Wellington flashback could have been better if they made it longer. I would love to see how they lived inside those walls
After what happened with our endings in ANF, I would definitely say the better choice is to enter Wellington. At least that way, I can believe that Kenny is still alive and didn't go out like a little bitch in an incredibly lazy and half-assed death, even if it was to protect Clem and AJ. I guess that also answers the first question you asked, I hated how Kenny's, as well as the other endings, were treated with ANF. I'm sure, after spending another 1-2 years with Kenny did strengthen Clem and AJ's relationship with him, it also would have been very nice to SEE it happen.
what else can Clementine say instead of "having people is nice.."?
I really liked Kenny, although more so as Lee then as Clem, but he was a broken man, while he still tried to protect Clem, he himself had nothing left, and he was about to kill Jane, (although I will never forgive Jane for what he did), but I basically shot Kenny for Clems protection, as well as for his own sake, I know that Kenny has always tried to protect Clem, but look what happened when he ticked on Jane, who is to say he wouldnt tick on Clem one day? I also think Kenny deserved peace after what he had been through, and he died with a smile on his face
Would have been good but since telltale had to fit the flashback in 5 minutes since the episode was: ´´TOO BIG´´ there was no time for that. <_<
If you're at Wellington she says people always change and most people only look out for themselves. I imagine she says the same thing in the alone ending.
Unfortunately not. If you're Alone, you get a "Usually, it's just me on my own." where Clem would refer to Kenny and Jane (which is disappointing, since it's a reused line from the first episode) before going on to repeat the 'having people is nice' line.
Hopefully Telltale will give us some more flashbacks about what happened in between season 2 and ANF. They said that there were a lot of rewrites for episode 3 so there's a small chance
I prefer the ending I choose which is to leave with Kenny. As much as I hate the flashback in season 3, that ending was so damn perfect to me. I know it's just me in denial, but I've decided to pretend the flashback didn't happen and that Kenny died a different way. I figure that if I paid for the game and put my time into it then I have all the right to play it how I want to.
Wellington. It wasn't the flashback I got as I chose the stay with Kenny one, but if I were to change it I would go with Wellington this time around. I like the idea of Kenny possibly still being out there and even if we never see him again, I think for his character to leave like that after having saved and protected Clementine/AJ is just a much better ending for him, rather than what happens to him in the flashback. Granted, I like that if you choose to stay with him, he ends up becoming Clementine's longest guardian and that for about two years, the two seem to have had a fairly decent time considering, but that car crash, for me, just ends up ruining any of the positives in picking that ending. Oh, and his model. That thing was...just disgusting.
Definitely. I even changed my original ending choice for the first time ever since playing since Season 1. I have a rule to stick to my original choices but was so pissed off with Season 3 i had to change it to make myself feel better after the shit they pulled. If they had killed off Kenny in a more appropriate way in my opinion I probably would have accepted it
There was a lot of rewrites for ep1 and 2 as well. It goes to show how clueless Telltale are these days. They have no plan or direction anymore and make shit up as they go along
And this is Lee's response to you and not Kenny btw lol:
100% agreed there.
Awesome! A natural healthy thing to do!
I prefer the Wellington one solely because it gives a bit of hope that Kenny could still be alive. I'm still hoping that all the flashbacks were just nightmares considering that Clem was going to sleep right before they happened, and that Kenny/Jane is still alive. If not, royally fuck Telltale for fucking two characters that were the main topic/war of discussion for damn 2 and a half years. I will always love Kenny so if it means parting with him to give him a chance at still being alive, I'll take it. Even though my canon end to the series is Kenny and Clem walking away from Wellington, which is what I'm gonna do if the flashbacks were real.
Yeah. A fresh start from another point of view would've been a lot better.
I chose Kenny cos it would make more sense for how clem knows how to drive in present day.
I like to think that Kenny had body armour on since you don't see blood, but then again it isn't Rick's group -.-
Wellington easily. Was thinking of changing before I saw that garbage ending they gave him in season 3 but thankfully I didn't.
When i saw her driving in the present day i thought it was exclusive to a pro kenny playtrough. Then i replayed it with a different flashback and i was so disappointed
I honestly like the flashback with Kenny in it.
Sure it's not the way I would have chosen for him to go out but he still died like the Kenny I knew, concerned more for his family than for himself.
Same here, I agree as well. As much as I love Clementine as our main character, if they were gonna make us play a different character, leave her alone. Right?
