If you are liking A New Frontier thread

Hey, just a thread for folks who enjoyed the 2 part premiere, since the forums have been a pretty big bummer lately, and people who have enjoyed the season so far have probably been turned off the forums. Of course people are entitled to their opinions and have the right to hate the episodes, but it be nice to have a positive thread out of all the other threads lurking about, and hell if you didn't like the episodes, but liked certain parts in the episodes feel free to share! Feel free to also discuss theories and what your looking forward to in episode 3 and beyond!

If your here to shit on New Frontier that's not the main focus of this thread and you could practically go anywhere else on the forums for that.

  • So glad you made this thread.

I love this game. Seriously, it's amazing. I really like Javier and seeing his relationship grow with Clementine. What I'm really looking forward to in episode 3 is some interaction with David. I really like him and his relationship with Javi, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

  • I am a fan as well....just need it to be longer.

  • Ha same.

  • Not my favourite but I still enjoyed it.

Yeah, I'm not LOVING it so far, mainly because of episode 2, but its definitely been enjoyable. Hopefully episode 3 and beyond can be love worthy.

  • I'm unsure on it, I was a big fan of the first 20 or so minutes as I was really getting into Javier's family, I liked the banter between them, felt really natural. Honestly I thought it only started going downhill around when Clementine shows up. I'm definitely not in the camp calling this the worst thing ever just yet but I'm not sure I like where the story is heading.

  • It's flawed and it's my least favorite in the series, but it's good for what it is.

  • Yes, I like this season too. I don't agree that it's worth than first two.

I actually quite enjoyed it too. People only talk about the bad things of the season, but when I played it, I loved how Clementine turned out as badass and mostly the end. (I fckin knew something like David being the leader of ANF would come up!) I also love the new design (forget about Jane and Kenny at this point).

  • I actually enjoyed ANF as well. The only BIG gripes I have is that if you went with Kenny and Jane they both died at the start and that we don't play as Clementine. Other than that I loved ANF. I liked the beginning a lot and the rest of the game was pretty good as well. I liked ANF overall and I can't wait for episode 3. Hopefully it proves to the people that hate ANF that it can still be a fantastic game and that ANF has great potential for the rest of the season.

  • Despite the flaws, I still highly enjoyed it, but at the same time, Telltale needs to get their act together behind the scenes.

  • I have enjoyed the fast pace of ANF so far but the episodes are too short to produce an actual and intriguing storyline like Season 1 had.

  • I agree, while it has been said that brevity is the soul of wit....they need to slow their roll and let characters grow. While Negan may not have been growing a garden, writing and character development is very much like that. Sometimes you need to give your characters the time to grow...before you send the walkers to harvest them.

  • I quite like it. I was originally one of the people who was completely against having a new protagonist replacing Clem, but I was sold quickly because I'm already pretty fond of Javi. I especially like the dynamic with his family, really looking forward to seeing where it goes since we got our brother David back.

It's kind of chutzpah to declare season 3 as the worse season when only two episodes have been released. That's basically doing the same thing as watching a movie for 45 minutes, turning it off, and giving it a negative review without even finishing the movie

  • Well, considering my expectations were borderline nix by the tie it finally came out, I can say I enjoyed the first episode well enough.

The flashbacks, [initially] Mariana, Badger, and the Prescott excouple notwithstanding. Fingers crossed on Avo though.

  • Ava? She seems great. I would love for Clem to confront her again, who knows maybe she was on her side and thought she was just helping her out before things turned sour. I hope she isn't a straight up baddie

Same. Personally, I definitely wouldn't mind if she was a dash of both.

Like I said, fingers crossed cause let's just say that, given the immediate comparisons people have made, I have a feeling Telltale might use her as a takethat to fans with certain tastes/dislikes.

  • Javier has a different vibe about him, so it's a breath of fresh air to have him around. He seems versatile with his choices, you know? He's not too far on either the good or bad end of the scale.

Instead of turning off Avatar 2 when James Cameron is taking a shit my thought in my mind would be:

"Wait a minute! I think Cameron is up to something that's genius...it might be a metaphor for something. I will have to watch it again and analyze it."

  • I am certainly happy to see some positivity. :)

I am still looking forward to continue the story.

    ((Double post))

  • Oops stumbled into the wrong thread, apologies.

  • Just reporting in, all the negativity here has been really tiring. The double episodes, despite their short length, were definitely at least a decent start and occasionally even highly enjoyable. I felt more hooked in than with S2, I never liked Clem that much as a playable protagonist (even though it could work a bit better now because she's older). This waiting time has been hell though, they better deliver something good.

  • I....lo...lo...lofe...loof...lllovee anf ah io it ittttt isssssss my fav season
    can't do it properly ahhhhhhh
Oh well guess I'm in a love/hate situation bring in the shotgun :p

  • I like it but I think I speak for us all when I say GIVE US ARVO!!!

Super Secret Bonus boss --naw, I'm kidding.

Eh, given how ANF has been going so far, I'd rather he stay MIA for a potentially return in a different story where he wouldn't be shoehorned or out of place.

Its Javi's chocolate bar if anything, it wanted to be Mariana's, but she got fucking killed, and Javi kept it for himself "She never got that chocolate" we know that somepoint in episode 3 javi's going to start ripping open that melted gross looking chocolate bar and devour it. He never had plans to give it to Mariana, he planned all of this, just so Mari wouldn't get that chocolate. His true colors have been revealed and I'll never look at him the same.

  • I still think it's too early to judge the game. Episode 3 will probably shape my final opinion.

  • What the actual fuck is going there? Did ET fructify a bush baby or something?
