Who would you save?

  • To be fair, it is the one that many people remember, especially given the fact that it was the final big choice of the very first episode that results in three episodes worth of the second best handling of determinant characters.

Neither, because I'm tired of Telltale's "choose between which character you like more" bullshit. Try sticking to some real thought-provoking storytelling for once, instead of rehashing the same choice from every Telltale game since TWD S1.

  • This is quite like the 'Doug or Carley' and 'Kenny or Jane' situation, if you ask me. I personally would pick the one we known the longest and that has to be Tripp, I guess. Plus, Clem trusts him more than she trusts Eleanor.

  • I Always thought Carley and Doug were the best determinant characters... Who s the first one?

  • I agree, I think they handled them great in episode 2 and 3, until the part where both die at the same moment in the same fashion, which is the problem most people have, I think. The first season established that determinant characters are guaranteed to die. Certain other games present you with similar choices, and manage actually keep them alive for the remainder of the game, and in some cases the following games. With TellTale, the moment you make the choice you're just delaying that characters death sentence.

  • Suppose I'd save Tripp. Don't really know why, to be honest. He's about as bland...as, well, Eleanor...and Javier, and Conrad, and Francine, and Marianna, and whoever else has been looming around this season when you think about.

  • Eleanor is a bit shady but she'd be a good lay. I get a discount Kenny vibe from Tripp so his character isn't really all too appealing to me

  • Ben.

    Same.

  • It's the right thing to do in an apocalypse because women are more important to the survival of the human race.
Even so, I'd save Tripp because he's a good guy who has you back and can be relied upon.

    That's sexist.

  • I would save Tripp because he reminds me of my bro Kenny

  • Oh right

we can agree on that... Plus i wanna hit that

  • I'd save Eleanor because she is the only hot girl in the game so far and javier needs someone to bang. Kate is not hot and she does drugs, so no...

  • I definitely feel that Tripp has been more worth it up to this point. Eleanor wasn't able to stop the bleeding internally for Kate (which is understandable but also very important) and wanted to send Javier and Clem into the night on horseback surrounded by a horde to go get his family with no better alternative. Tripp has always delivered, so as of right now I would choose him. I also do trust Clem in a lot of her opinions because, especially during this season, she knows more about what's going on behind closed doors than everyone else.

  • How is that so? If you're talking about reproduction, males are needed too

  • If you have 11 humans then the most babies you can make is 10 (10 women and 1 man), obviously not counting anomalies like twins and such.
The higher the percentage of men the less babies you get, ergo, women are more important when it comes to the survival of the species.
Obviously, you still need some men, just nowhere near as many.

Historically, something like 80% of women have reproduced versus 40% of men. That's often seen as part of the reason they came up with marriage, so that the average man would actually be able to have a child, and it also highlights how unnecessary most men are when it comes to keeping the species going.

  • Hm, fair point. Well, that "1 man" is gonna be happy

  • That's what they all think at first

  • I honestly think that Tripp would want Eleanor to survive rather than his own life, possibly sacrificing himself to do it..

  • So, It's after Episode 3...and I'd still pick Eleanor, like it was really much of a dilemma.

  • Me too. Especially since she's barely had any screentime.
