As much as I hate those guys, if they pull the 'I have a daughter card' or something like that, I'm doomed. Heck I don't even know if I can kill Badger if the time comes, all depends on who he is as a character or if there's any more surprises there like what you just said. Although so far he's shown himself to be a real dipshit, but that could just be from losing his crew...still -.- not sure.

What are you talking about? He killed an innocent little girl over some fucking pudding. He had no good excuse to do that. I don't want any apologises from him, I want him to understand what he did to that poor girl.
To be fair, I don't think he knew/cared about the specifics; all he knew was that some thieves were in one of their territories and so it's time for him to do the only thing he exists for so far: to fuck shit up and kill people!
But that place wasn't even secured. Javi and his family were doing what everyone does in apocalypse. Badger's death will be the best moment of Episode 3.
That's not the point though. As people love to point out, Javier's group stumbled upon a locked storage filled with supplies and decided to spend too much time there instead of taking what they need and leaving.
Regardless of that overused point, I was bluntly stating that Badger is just a diabolus ex machina (an obvious at that) and the worst character in ANF by far.
I've literally seen one other person point that out, and it boggles my mind that no realized how stupid the situation is lol. Badgers done to death sadistic survivor character is why I'm more interested in seeing how David and Max turn out as characters than Badger fighting the brave hero. I actually liked the way they played Max up as a hardass but someone who doesn't overstep his place.

And it's worse than that since, while we've had sadistic survivors before(Carver and Randall specfically), they at least had some hints of actual character or greater purpose in the plot; Badger really is just some asshole who shows up, kills someone, fucks shit up, and disappears from harm's way when it's [in]convenient. He's purely there to make everything worse by doing things Max would never do without good justification, be a hate sink because of that, and nothing else--and they spent over HALF of that over a minute long trailer on this waste of space!
Completely agree. Honestly, if it wasn't for this board, I'd have been confused as hell by the trailer and why they're showing Marianna because I didn't even notice Badger prior to his few lines at Prescott. He just seemed like the typical bloodthirsty bandit, and while Max may have come across as obnoxious he also strictly adhered to whatever guidelines have been set for members in the field, sending Javier to face the group for his actions rather than outright killing him and trying to restrain Badger from attacking Prescott by reminding him there's an order of command.
Yeah, no kiddin! I just thought he was a random minion at first and didn't even put two and two together when he showed up again.(Though, that admittedly might be a result of how little of a shit I gave about Mariana, particularly since I had been loosely spoiled on her death beforehand).
Killing Badger is not only therapeutic, but honestly a mercy on the story. As others have stated, we've seen his brand of bad rehashed just far too many times. It's stale.
David actually has potential in this scenario depending on how they selected to execute kidnapping AJ. If it's simply out of wickedness, I think we'll all be disappointed. I might in fact side with David if it were out of believing the toddler would be better off in a fortified encampment of adults with supplies, than wandering the zombie ridden landscape with a pre-teen.
I don't actually believe they'd make that the case, as it would force players into a difficult situation with a character a lot of us have grown to love ( being Clem herself. ) It's just something I think would be interesting to see the player's choices on if they were forced to choose between helping Clem take AJ back, or siding with David.
In all honesty, I think this'll resolve itself like the previous Walking Dead games. The New Frontier will likely be the dead frontier. Aside from most likely Badger, do you think anyone else will die in Episode 3? If so, who?
Hopefully, Tripp. Kate still needs to justify her place on the goddamn cover and Eleanor needs to not fall into same dumb, lameass, sexist, ship-tastic BULLSHIT that's plagued Carley and especially Lilly in the past. Conrad and especially Gabe also need something worthwhile to do.

I could tell that Kate is important when I saw her on the cover. (The wiki says she is the deutragonist - the 2nd most important character). Let's hope she proves herself worthy. Eleanor definitely needs more development. I hope the theory of her being in The New Frontier is not true
I like to think that she is one of the few compassionate people left in that universe that managed to keep their humanity.
Because he's the third worse character with a major role after Mariana and Badger, imho. I'm sure if I finally revisit the game and actually make an effort to pay attention to him, maybe he'll improve on the rewatch, but as is, he's just Kenny 8.0 defaulting to the ANewDay-characterization before spazzing out at the slightest inconvenience to channel ALongOfhead or NoGoingBack!Kenny like he has schizophrenia.

I need to learn more about David before I can make a call on him tbh, in the flashback in episode 1 where he says "I love you brother, you know that right?" he seems very genuine to me, and he doesnt seem like a bad guy to me, however if it comes down to picking between David or Clem, or David hurting Clem, he is done, I know Javier would probably care more about David, but as a player, I care more about Clem, and since I am not really that into Javier as a character the way I was Lee or Clem, I'd rather pick what I want
