  • They need to release the episode, RIGHT NOW!!!

    right now

  • Right now its difficult to say whether the game is good or not if you haven't played it. I've seen people say its good and others say its bad which tells me it could be a polarized episode. In regards to Clementine from what i understand she doesn't appear for 40 minutes and she's playable for around 3 minutes.

How about you don't judge until you play it yourself? The man above you stated that Episode 3's early dialogue is brought back up later i

  • Only people that bought the season pass disk.

So is it really released early on Xbox?like in store or it just got available for download out of nowhere on the game?or did you guys do some bypassing for it?

  • Yeah, that is what I had predicted [and hoped] would happen if they were making that the final big choice of Ties that Bind Part 2, so that factored into my decision.

I heard that if you choose to go with the plan in Episode 2, Clementine plays a MUCH bigger part, is that true, if so... That is a really good touch up and motivation for that choice.

  • Most people who got episode 3 early have actually rated it pretty good. And didn't they get a new team of writers to do it?

I actually enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good. I mean, it's not S1 quality but it sure as hell is better than Amid the Ruins or No Goi

  • I had a feeling this would happen a month ago so I rewinded and did that.Too bad she won't be too happy about it in ep3 I'm guessing

  • I think it's unfair. If it got leaked, just release it by this point on platforms where you can. Stalling it only makes it worse

  • S2 had great pacing

No it didn't. S2 was a poorly paced mess that was on full speed and didn't stop. Where were the quiet moments where you could talk to characters and get to know them? It isn't until episode 5 you finally get a moment to speak to everyone at your own pace. You kept moving nonstop.

complex characters evolving throughout the story

Really? We still know nothing about Mike or his background, Bonnie's past history with drugs is completely brushed over, Carver apparently was a 'nice man' according to Bonnie but all we see is a brutal dictator, we learn nothing about Luke except for what Nick tells you, Sarah is killed off before her story even begins, Kenny is still arguably the same albeit more angry and rash than before and Jane has a complete 180 for no reason.

S3 had a bad start but S2 wasn't much better. Still hope we get more hubs though, that was still a problem in S2 and I really miss the credits songs and was disappointed there wasn't one.

S2 had great pacing, action properly balanced with exploring hubs, complex characters evolving throughout the story, etc. It had credit songs which I miss deeply. S3 is nothing like S2, except both take place in the same universe.

Some things come very close to perfection and this series is a great example of that. On the whole, I believe that every bit of The Walking Dead content released so far by Telltale is excellent, it's one of those series that you never forget, with characters that you remember forever, like Clementine.

I approve of criticism, because if done properly it can help the developers give us great content. That said, there is a fine line between constructive criticism and whining, which some don't seem to be able to spot. There are downsides of course, I am not blind so to say, there are things that I think could have been better not only regarding Season 3, but also regarding Seasons 1 and 2, but I do not see any major negative aspect on the whole, only small details and such, nothing too major.

Despite that, when looking at the bigger picture, when analysing each season in its entirety and not nitpicking small details, I believe that they're excellent games and stories and I am sure Season 3 will be great as well and I hope they don't stop at Season 3, I hope they make this series last for a long while, because it has great potential.

As I said previously, I am probably biased, but that's my view on things. I am not trying to convice anyone of anything, because we're all different.

Hi, I'm back. But... Really? Are you serious, Telltale? We still have to wait more than a week while some Xbox users are playing the episode for the second or the third time already?

My money doesn't taste as good as the money from Xbox users? Oh well.

The thing that gets me more than anything is that for two years the only thing that absolutely everyone would agree on was that the s2 endings shouldn't be tossed aside in 5 minutes!!

And after two years, wtf happens? They're tossed aside in 5 minutes, even less for some of the flashbacks.

I've lost my faith in this company beyond repair.

  • My point is that S2 was just as bad as the beginning of S3. I don't think comparing them like they're two completely different games is a fair one since they both had the exact same problems.

Episode 2 had em. They were halfassed in places and there was a limited amount of interaction and development with certain characters, but they were there. Episode 3's is a joke, though.

we learn nothing about Luke except for what Nick tells you

Bonnie alludes to certain things between him and Carver and he does finally share some things about himself during the campfire scene.

  • One of the main reasons I don't like ANF is because it's such a cop out. Rather than putting the WORK and EFFORT into making a legitimate choice driven S3 based off of S2 and S2 Endings they opted to make a new story and just appeal to newcomers.

True but you couldn't talk to specific characters like you mentioned which is kinda lame since you could talk to everyone in a hub like environment in Season 1, even if they didn't have much to say.

  • I absolutely agree with that. If telltale can release it on platforms early they need to ASAP. the fact the rest of us have to wait over a week+ to play it with others having played it 3-4 times already with spoilers filling the forums and the Internet I believe it is unfair to us to have to wait this long.

I did like what i see from episode 3 more than the previous two episodes. It wasn't perfect but it didn't seem bad. I can still play the season and hopefully enjoy it since I bought the season pass, right?

And yes, amid many of the writers leaving, the CEO stepping down, lies about episode 1 being too long, lies about Clem having 42 starting points, giving Clem 5% of the episode playtime despite marketing her constantly, getting rid of TWDG legends like Kenny in lazy 5 minute flashbacks, having both the premiere and episode 3 leak days early, and Job coming on here to talk down and give nonanswers, I have pretty much lost the previously strong faith that I had in them.

I bought the season pass and I frequent these forums regardless, I'm entitled to my opinion. Yeah my statement was a bit bold, but as a really huge fan I just can't feel the same after everything that has been happening.
