I see... I mean for a large organisation / company, I would have expected them to at least respond or at minimum compensate as I agree with the notion that it's unfair for some individuals to play whilst others can't when it's meant to be released (for all platforms) on the 28th.
It's highly unlikely that Telltale will address this issue, this is the third time something like this has happened on Xbox (Tales from the … moreBorderlands episode 3 and Game of Thrones episode 5 also released early on Xbox) and there was also an incident when season 2 episode 4 of The Walking Dead was accessed early by someone using an android device.
On all those incidences they didn't publicly acknowledge it as it would most likely bring attention to the issue which would enable more people to access it early and spread more spoilers.
well after jobs dismissed our feedback and criticism as a "dismissive minority" i think that tells you what they think of they're fanbase. Telltale has become a company more concerned about money and positive publicity than a genuine company who cares about making quality content and care about they're fans. It is unfortunate this generally happens to company's that evolve from a indie company to a larger company.
Just tried finding the Kevin Bruner quote from 3 years ago about Telltale being "all about the fans" and about how they're not going to make mindless action games (like throwing grenades with your hands, nudge nudge) but I think he deleted it...

I like Javi and all but I feel like the game is a lot more chaotic because he is the main protagonist. Everybody developed Clementine differently. Personally I don't mind how she acted in the first 2 episodes, because I developed my Clem to become that super hardened and cold hearted character when you first meet her, but is very supportive and cares about her friends once they have proven them self to her. However I feel bad for the people that prefer the softer Clem, because that Clem is not there anymore. Also with all the different endings for season 2 Clementine is a different person with different opinions and interests. Telltale could have avoided a lot of hate and writers block if they had kept Clem as the main character.
It would have been better if the roles of Clementine and Javi were in reverse to how they actually are in the game.
What's not to like about a game about a young girl who is mentally an adult because of her depressing past trying to raise and provide a somewhat decent life for a toddler in the apocalypse?
Telltale will be redeemed in my book if they release a dlc that goes more in-depth with Clementine and AJ's story before the events of A New Frontier.
The thing is we all paid equally for the game, and now some players got to enjoy (more or less) the episode before the rest of us. I was get… moreting tired of the waiting, but I thought it was necessary to get everything done, fix some issues, etc., however now I'm not sure anymore.
TT's taken the risk - they knew how big of a deal it was to make S3 out of all the branched endings and complex background they've created - and they jumped recklessly into the deep water when they clearly forgot how to swim. 2 years of development has ended only with chaos and disappointment, Telltale continuously refusing to listen to the constructive criticism and neglecting the ideas for improvement. Not a flying fuck about all of this.
And now the general crisis just confirmes that they are failing miserably on keeping their company professional and fulfill the basic tasks, as they declared themselves to release the game on the 28th. All we've got to do is t… [view original content]
Wouldn't it of been better marketing for telltale if they had designed it to play off of S1 and S2 more?
Like they could have said that the game would be enjoyable to new comers, but 10 time more enjoyable to those that have played the past two games, thus getting people to buy S1 and S2
One of the main reasons I don't like ANF is because it's such a cop out. Rather than putting the WORK and EFFORT into making a legitimate choice driven S3 based off of S2 and S2 Endings they opted to make a new story and just appeal to newcomers.

TT's missed the unique opportunity to create a character based on previously made choices; it would be such an outstanding move in storytelling franchise to use the large background and make 42 versions of Clementine, just like TT initially promised. Imagine all the major choices realistically affecting and changing Clem's personality. It would shatter the illusion of choice into the pieces and instead of lies, we would've gotten the true meaning of 'the story tailored by how you play'.
Telltale will be redeemed in my book if they release a dlc that goes more in-depth with Clementine and AJ's story before the events of A New Frontier.
Just like they released a DLC about the 16 months timeskip before the events of Season 2? ;-;

They have not made a public announcement/comment on the issue as of yet which i did not expect since it is currently the end of the weekend. With that said EP3 content has been removed from YouTube and other social media platforms which means they obviously are aware of it. I really hope they address this issue tomorrow as soon as possible.
Okay, you know how when you're in an argument with someone or something like that and they drop a really shitty comeback on you so you just go "Ooooh, you showed me."
Same instance here. It was me sarcastically saying "Yeah, that'll totally make them release the episode now."
When you have to explain jokes, you're basically knifing the humor of them to death just to give an explanation. Just forget it.

They won't, they will act like it's nothing and move on its not the first time....just a couple of months telltale and I will be free from your bullshit I just hate this company so much but I'm just here waiting for clems story to end

I can tell you that Clementine is not going to be a main character nor will we play as her for more than 10 minutes combined for the rest of… more ANF. Telltale has stated Javier is the playable protagonist of ANF with the story focused on him. It was only a afterthought to give Clementine the primitive flashbacks somewhere in late development.
So agree, i already accidentally spoil 3 things that will happens in ep3, two of them not so big, but the third is death of one of the characters, which is sick to know before i played it myself.
I absolutely agree with that. If telltale can release it on platforms early they need to ASAP. the fact the rest of us have to wait over a w… moreeek+ to play it with others having played it 3-4 times already with spoilers filling the forums and the Internet I believe it is unfair to us to have to wait this long.

Telltale release the episode already!!!!!!
They have commercial deals with other companies. They cannot disrespect those deals by releasing it before or after March 28th; they would finish fucking up if that made they decision.
You cannot expect to remain spoiler-free if you come to the forum amidst a leak period. It's as simple as that; it's not about whether it's fair or wrong; it is what it is.
so i'm suppose to stay off the forums for over a week and avoid videos on youtube and the internet in general? I'd like to know what you wou… moreld propose the rest of us do that were not fortunate enough to have this convenient exclusive leak given to us?

I always thought, about that how couldn't they not understand that if they would've continue Clemy Story (with playable Clemy of course) that would've been better for them because they would've start to get sales from S1 and S2 again because of the "newcomers" who would've like to find out how Clemy's story starts! So i really don't understand Telltale on making the story about the new "Cubancuck" that nobody knows about instead of our loveable Clemy:

Why are there that many writers? These episodes aren't even that long, and having too many writers can cause more harm than good. Do you remember who they were?

Many of them already left. Or some started their own companies (Campo Santo, Night School Studios)
So... sorry.

That show is great.
You know what, I thought something similar earlier today--or was it yesterday?

So, what's the Telltale's response to all of this, if there's any? They did take down the yt videos, but have they tried to explain the situation?

what does that even mean?

for what its worth i found it amusing it to read it and the latter part i got a laugh out of.
Hey man, bold text is SERIOUS business!
If you got a laugh, I'm doing my job right.
I'm SUPER SERIAL, freelance.
Yeah... It was a joke btw

And guys why would they listen to you and release it early? Who are we in the eyes of telltale...Oh I know nothing
I will still hope for Clemy story and playaable Clemy in the next episodes and seasons
It sucks having to wait a week considering how much has been leaked. It seems like it could easily be released Tuesday.
So agree, i already accidentally spoil 3 things that will happens in ep3, two of them not so big, but the third is death of one of the characters, which is sick to know before i played it myself.
Telltale release the episode already!!!!!!
;-; I'm sorry man. That's too bad.
Just two quick questions for those who have played the episode, how many writers were credited and who were they?
They have commercial deals with other companies. They cannot disrespect those deals by releasing it before or after March 28th; they would finish fucking up if that made they decision.
How many exactly, Monkey?
You cannot expect to remain spoiler-free if you come to the forum amidst a leak period. It's as simple as that; it's not about whether it's fair or wrong; it is what it is.
6 Writers.
[Has Mustafa Ali flashbacks.]
Aye! You found the "caps lock" I see.
6 WRITERS.
Thanks

I hope it's not ends on S3 and Clem's story, only Clem's story(not this "cubancuck or someonelse") continues in S4!
