To be honest, I'm going to be a little more optimistic.
Though I definitely agree that Episodes One and Two certainly had multiple flaws (length, choices, dialogue, Kenny/Jane to name a few) I won't lie and will admit to the fact that I did enjoy it for what it had to offer - I am quite intrigued as to how Javier's life intertwines with Clem and actually see them as appropriate buddies (just friends, of course :P)
I'm quite excited for the new Episode and I know that thousands of fans can agree with me, as suggested by the Youtube trailer statistics and comments.
It really does seem like a great game with a lot of potential if carried out right. I mean I really do give props to Telltale for a lot of work they've done. Creating and developing such games really are not easy and the fact that almost every single TWDG fan has grown an emotional attachment to Clementine (at least if they've played S1 / 2 / both) testifies that Telltale really has done an applaudable job creating this game and characters.
I'd like to reiterate that I am in full agreement that ANF is not flawless and it contains a number of quite irresponsible / easily avoidable flaws that has disappointed many fans, including myself. Though how I see it, I don't think that we should constantly be pessimistic and judge an entire series - each with at minimum 60 - 90 minute (Ep 1 and 2 being a little exception ) to be poorly made, especially when we're not even half-way through the series!
@OfficialMonkey, not all of my points written above are addressed to you. I've just seen so many comments that have a negative tone which have all accumulated in my mind and I just wanted to address them somewhere and I guess I've decided to do it here. I still respect your point of view, but I do hope - for the betterment of the series - that Telltale proves you wrong
I think Clem looks a little bit more like she does in the first trailer they showed on E3 last year, than the final design. Might just be the hair that does that.
That's always a badass move, but its such a blatant attempt to show her as a badass it slips right over into cringe territory.
And the sound effect completely kills it.
David looks freakishly good looking-no a dick! HE A DICK!
On the Frontier banner there's written 'New World' 'You Are Welcome' 'Richmond'
Kate has the sixth sense for doom.
The frontier own potted plants. They care about potted plants....need to find an herb...
Ava punched Trippy. Note to punch her uterus.
That shot at 0:38 looks like the perfect shot for the poster of Broke Back Mountain. Oh god don't let incest be a thing.
In the locker room there's the logo 'Dragonflies' must've been the locker room for a team.
David has his hand on Ava. OMG ARE THEY A THING!? DID HE HOOKED UP WITH THE BALD HEADED ALIEN!?
Oh god I hope they weren't branding AJ when they took him away or David is getting branded somewhere else!
Ava snatched AJ away, and then tries to be all smiley to Javier. Note to punch her ovaries too.
And David dumped us after bringing his family back....dickdickdickdickdick!Oh I am so hitting it off with Kate now! You just wait David! She can't resist the baseball chaaaarm!
The string on Javier's backpack is actually keeping the baseball bat in place. It's not just floating there by an invisible force like Carlos's rifle did. Javi is not a wizard.
Wait, David is with us again or is this another point time?
Jesus threw an axe and downed a walker. Bless you.
Conrad is still kicking yay! Er, literally.
Clementine with a baseball bat saving Javier from the walkers is so god damn cool! And the way she hands it back afterwards with a sassy comment. It's begging for text insanity!
Thanks for this post! You looked much more deeply on this than I did. I never noticed the words written on the banner or the logo in the locker room.
One thing though is that when David placed his hand on Ava's shoulder I think it was maybe more him holding her back, possibly after punching Tripp since it looked like the same scene. They could be a thing though, and I believe that David would definitely have found someone else after 4 years.

I mean, what the hell do they expect to happen after months of nothing? Of course people are going to jump all over those spoilers like crazy, myself being one of them.
I would say there is a difference between fans being excited and eager to keep tabs on early developments, and people who leak stuff to deliberately spoil others out of malicious intent.
If he used "fans" in quotes to refer to people who deliberately leaked stuff to others out of malice, I can see where he is coming from. But, if he just means that "fans" (in quotes) to say that people should not leak anything at all, I think he has it backwards. People get excited and seek out stuff like this because they are passionate fans.
They were talking about my tweet

ftw yesterday I said jokingly "watch the trailer reuse music from previous seasons" but then the beginning of the trailer reused the music from Jolene's scene in season 1.
"She was just standing there...minding her own business...then someone put a bullet in her head..." and in a flash Danny appears. Plot twist! Even if you stabbed Danny St. John he was just faking being dead and he used his super dairy farmer strength to break out of the trap!
Danny is in fact the real leader of TNF with David as his puppet.

At first I thought I heard Johnny Cash, but I guess I'm just delusional. Once again, it all seems pretty regular: philosophical thoughts, ri… moresing tension and suspicion, then crisis and boom, walkers. I like how they included a scene reminding us that Clementine exists and is a "badass", just in case we've forgotten about her.
Trailer was neat, however I'm not buying this as Job's "best trailer ever", for me it's No Going Back one with little Clem talking to her parents.
Also, the song's cool.

Sadly, I feel that other series are taking much more precedence over TWD. GoTG especially is getting its time to shine now so no doubt Tellt… moreale were, and still are, making sure it gives a great first impression. Minecraft would be a cash cow as well as Batman I'm sure and Michonne was a mini-series so possibly easier to work on, especially since they already have some details to go off of with the Comics.
Since Episode 3 had a long wait I definitely am glad to see that Telltale seem to have things more under control for the last two episodes. I think losing the Lead Writer, and more individuals, in between development had a major effect on ANF.
I also know that this isn't the place to vent about these things, but I would much rather TWD had a greater number of episodes than 5 just since GoT got 6 and Minecraft got 8. I suppose they feel that the story they want can be done in less though and they don't want to overextend it. I'm just a fanboy
That scene at the end is hilariously badass XD I think there's opportunity for this game to add more moments like this to sort of change things up a bit from the constant dark and depressing nature of TWD.
Gotta say, I am intrigued by David's character. Definitely not your run-of-the-mill bad guy, that's for sure. Also, i'm not entirely sure that he is running everything with that group. Radicalists or rebellion from within maybe? Actually sorta hyped for this episode now.
Javier said "This is a sendoff?" As in it seems that David is kicking him out.
Jesus said "There's stuff here from The Kingdom." and then "Spoils from other towns here too."
The sounds are slightly different, yes but very similar. The trailer has it much more... how do I put it, "dramatic.' In the game it makes the "DINK" sound but that's it, in the trailer it makes that sound but drags out, almost like the metal is making a long echo. As if the metal bat was hitting metal. I thought it sounded bad in the episode but the trailer topped it off.

Why that user? Seems kinda random.

Sorry, I was just pointing it out so people wouldn't get too hyped about the chance to see much more Clem.
I think Clem looks a little bit more like she does in the first trailer they showed on E3 last year, than the final design. Might just be the hair that does that.
My backlogs never going to end man lol
I think it is about a specific tweet.
Am I the only one who thought Clem hitting the walkers like that was more cringe than "bad-ass?"
I don't see it.
Where are people getting this badass idea for that moment? Its supposed to be dumb.
That's always a badass move, but its such a blatant attempt to show her as a badass it slips right over into cringe territory.

At least other people have an idea of what it was suppose to be. I had no clue what the intent was of it.
It reminded me of something from Tom and Jerry.

5 days away and they dont know what platform it'll be released on yet? Oy...they've gotten incredibly disorganized this last year
It had the platform list at the end.

While reading through telltale's twitter comments I got something spoiled I really hope it wasn't real because it seemed to sudden.
They were talking about my tweet
I mean, what the hell do they expect to happen after months of nothing? Of course people are going to jump all over those spoilers like crazy, myself being one of them.
I would stay away from telltales twitter feed/comments until release date.
I know, right? Clem's death seemed so sudden....
...and the part where they revealed Javier was a part of the mafia all along before the apocalypse hit was just so riveting!

Of course! And the fact that they spoiled Lee being killed by Ava was BS.

This actually sounds like a decent theory.
Clem hitting those walkers with the baseball bat was so damn adorable!!! This trailer got me pumped, hopefully I won't be disappointed
Glad it wasn't just me lol
I unfortunately have the feeling he means the latter...
That's bullshit. Since when? Batman doesn't have a terrible fanbase as Minecraft.
That scene at the end of the trailer was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen in a TellTale game.
She did it... she got 'em. cries internally
That scene at the end is hilariously badass XD I think there's opportunity for this game to add more moments like this to sort of change things up a bit from the constant dark and depressing nature of TWD.

Someone who has already played, please confirm that the bat Clementine uses to save Javi doesn't actually make that noise. Please.
Thank you
MFW Telltale releases their "best" The Walking Dead trailer after it was available to play for many users for more than 2 weeks before you

I may be wrong, but I think telltale is putting the foundation down for future installments.
