Do you think Telltale should keep Javier as the protagonist in Season 4?

  • As long as its not Clem. I'm happy.

  • We should get a new protagonist in season 4 to make newcomers happy.

  • If they want dig the hole deeper for this series then go right ahead.

  • They shouldn't make Clem protagonist in 4 episode because that will ruin her special independent character, but I think one of next episodes will tell about Clem most part of time

He probably will, what would be a point to make an entirely new protagonist only to get rid of him after one season ends? He can either lose everyone like Clem in S1 and take over the role of Clem in S2 (already developed character with the rich background), or live happily ever after with his family.

  • Why does everyone automatically believe a 4th installment is happening?. In regards to Javier in a potential 4th installment I doubt it since newcomers won't know who he is and they'll need to have a new protagonist so you can see Javier from a different perspective.

  • happily ever after for all we see them anyway..

  • More TWD = More Money.
More Clementine = Even More Money.

  • As long as my choices as Javi can be reduced down to 5 or 6 generalized questions, and Clem becomes a background character with no dialouge, Im cool with a new protaganist.

  • Hell fucking yeah

  • I think it'll be AJ

  • Absolutely! I love Javi and can't wait to see more of him.

  • Yes I think so, I love playing as Javier and it will be interesting to find out more about his story and at least have him longer then one season

  • I like to continue with Javier.
Or perhaps a little bit older Gabe.

  • Definitely yes! Javier is a great character and deserves a chance.

In my opinion, it would've been perfect to cut out Clementine from Season 3/ANF in order to properly develop Javier and his group, before they meet Clementine in Season 4. And from this moment on, we would switch between Javier and Clem.

  • I dunno, I havent really been as "into" Javier as I was Lee and Clem, if that makes sense, with Lee and Clementine I was hooked from episode 1, and while I think Episode 3 of A New Frontier was pretty good, and a major step up from episodes 1 and 2, I am still not really feeling it.

  • So 12 years later?

They should have stuck with Clem in my opinion it's been great to watch her character development since the first game where she was just an innocent child in which you essentially watch over her as Lee. Javier is okay but I was a bit let down not being able to assume the role of Clem again in this game aside from the flashbacks, I thought there would be more switching between the two characters this season but it doesn't really seem the case so far.

  • I honestly don't mind if they do, I like playing as javi. If they do a season 4 I just want clem to be in it AND also playable. It would also be cool if clem is the playable one, with javi being a side character.

What S3 should have been lol.

  • They shouldn't do a second season. S2 was already lacking in basically every way (only blind Clem fans would be ok with it) and S3 seems to be even worse so far.

S1 told a great complete story, there was no need for another season but with TWD it seems like everyone (be it the comic writer, the showrunners or Telltale) wants to milk it to death.

  • Perhaps you need to play the whole episode to feel this.
I am sure at the end we will get used to Javier and wishing to see him again in season 4.

  • New comming people from Season 3 might be pissed they don't play Javier anymore lol.
Perhaps better to play an older Gabe lol. In season 3 he wants to prove he is a man so who knows lol.

  • Yeah I think he should but Clementine needs more play time as well. Depending on this season's ending, I'm sure it'll be doable.

  • No, it would confuse newcomers to the series.

  • As much as I'd love that, Telltale should keep to the trend, new protagonist.

  • You don't like playing as Clem?

As long as its not Clem. I'm happy.

  • I do, but I like the idea of a new lead every season. If it doesn't happen. Oh well, but Clem got to be a main character in season 1, protagonist in 2, and just hang around in 3. I hope we can move on from Clem, while still making sure she's okay.

Me too. I feel like having TWD start over with a new group can liberate it from all the different choice threads that are linked to it. Then they can focus more on making new choices, locations and character relationships without fans screaming behind them about their "choice = continuous consequence" entitlement. That's just the best move Telltale can do. Separate its series from what is holding it down at this point: all of the choice data across (soon to be) 3 seasons, and start from scratch.

extra general tidbit: Because one day, people are going to be theorizing if killing the two St. John brothers in Season One will have any effect on Raphael finding a new colony in Season Five.... trust me people, at that point, Season One's choices would be null. There's a limit to what effect your choices can have on the series. Telltale may not be using that to its fullest extent, but there is a limit.

  • If they take that route, then the series can be looked back on as a whole when it eventually ends in a more cohesive light I think. X amount of seasons connected by a familiar character or characters, but with a different playable in each one.

I'm actually liking season 3 more then season 2. Season 3 actually gives me a good Walking Dead vibe where as season 2 didn't. Also it seems that season 3 is starting to give characters good development like with season 1.

S1 told a great complete story, there was no need for another season but with TWD it seems like everyone (be it the comic writer, the showrunners or Telltale) wants to milk it to death.

While yes Season 1 did have a good story, it lacked on many choices. Example: Doug and Carley dying in the same place, the stranger coming after you regardless whether or not you stole from his van, etc. For you I would not recommend playing the rest of the episodes I would just say watch it on Youtube or don't watch it at all if you prefer that the story ended with season 1.

  • No. Considering david and javier are captured at the end, clem should be the protagonist. But that probably won't happen.

  • IMO there just shouldn't be a season 4.

  • Yes! I like Javier

  • I don't care as long as Clem is in the game.

  • I think we should see if he even survives the season first.

  • In season 4 they are going to be even more deceptive, Clem will be on all the teaser art but she won't actually be in any of the episodes.
