Debate Thread
I'm in the mood for some good debates (I'm also bored and don't wanna work in class), so I'm starting up a Walking Dead Game Debate thread. (Apologies if this has been done before).
So, this can span within any of the Walking Dead games/DLC's made by TellTale; ranging from Season 1-2, 400 Days, Michonne (sorry if I spelled that wrong), and A New Frontier.
However, because debates can get REALLY heated (and I should know, I've been in the middle of quite a few ((thanks to the fact that I support certain characters, not saying who)) and in the crossfire of some), I wanna set up some basic ground rules (which I know I can't enforce, but hey, no shame in making some);
Don't trash talk users
Don't bully up
Don't be racist/sexist
Okay? Okay. HAVE FUN!
Oh, I should also add; I may get involved in some debates, but because I tend to have unpopular opinions, I'll try and stay out of the majority of them. Unless you want me involved.
Comments
Jane is a piece of dog shit.
When is Clementine's birthday?
Kenny deserved going through the windshield.
There's no debate there. We all know the answer... Technically Jane isn't dog shit...
Clementine is a piece of shit.
Jane deserved beign stabbed by her shitty knife
According to a timeline someone on the forums made, it's at some point in October I think (remember that's just speculation)
ok then... Jane is a manipulative bitch
Well that didn't take long.
Hmm... alright, I think I've got one.
Carver deserved to be around until the end of the season, and had the potential to become the best villain Telltale's made in this series.
We get it, you hate Jane; just stop spamming that everywhere and provide actual debate, please.
Finally, a legit debate!
Anyways, yeah I agree. Although we didn't know about him until a little later in the first episode, he is almost like Negan and he's a mix of a hated/loved villain. It would have been awesome to have a constant, recurring villain character.
Oh my God! I'm so...
Wut, what about the debate we had in the "Why is a new frontier hated so much?"
That is in another thread, not this one. And also; lots of cussing and it was becoming too heated and I decided not to waste my time. It's a stale-mate at this point.
come on , don't ruin all the fun!
I know, right? Remember how much build-up the dude had in the first episode, and that that big reveal in the cabin in A House Divided? The dude was intimidating as hell!
I'd always kind of wanted some kind of final standoff between him and his followers against Clem, the cabin crew, Kenny and Jane, etc. where your actions determined who was left standing at the end. Maybe Carver would've lived, forcing the rest of you to lick your wounds and head out towards Wellington or some other community with those who were left alive. Or maybe he'd capture you, forcing you to work for him in even more brutal conditions until the beginning of season 3. Or maybe they'd end up killing Carver or taking him prisoner, taking over Howe's and trying to rebuild in a way that didn't treat people like slaves the entire time.
But anyways, how would you have kept him around?
Javi is the best charecter human race can come up of and clementine is an undercover bitch....did I mention that this thread is as bad as jane's charecter
It's not fun at all when it's spammed.
it is for me
Just the fact that he was a villain-role made me hope he would stay in the game. But, I guess I was okay with Kenny beating him to a pulp because it showed how much more insane and unstable the man became.
However, I would've preferred that, although the group escaped, that Carver would not have been confronted in the way that he had been and remained with the group at the warehouse. They would've left anyways cuz the doors were open and whatnot, but he would've still been alive and possibly seen later on.
Actual debate, please. Provide statements and whatnot with backup facts and theories.
Either knock it off, or provide solid debate material INCLUDED with your statements; evidence, theories, etc
Lee died on November 1st and her birthday was 6 days before that so it should be October 26th
or?
Woah woah woah woah. Woah. I rlly don't know what to say.
Just try and ignore those types of people lol
There was already an "or" in that sentence.
This thread wants debate and I shall deliver. Javier has the potential to be one of THE most popular walking dead characters spanning across the tv show to the comics to the video game. His character has really been developed more into season 3 and I believe he will finish a new frontier to have just as many fans as clementine. His one liners and insults are impressive, and with how he dispatches walkers I think he may also survive a new frontier. Anyone disagree or are we cool?
Yeah, that'd be really cool, too. At the very least, maybe they could've done a follow-up DLC to their 400 Days thing where they showed us what happened to that group after the walker assault on Howe's. It would've given us some pretty decent closure, anyways.
What if i don't want to do either of those things?
Not trying to be an ass here, but how do you know it was November 1st? My memory's a little hazy on some of the details from season 1. Was there a dialogue option for it or something?
It's from a timeline I found online, they basically took the dates from the comics so the outbreak began July 18th and worked from there. They also used the tapes that were in Crawford and all of the other minor date details to be able to work out what day episode 3+ was on and then they just counted up.
Ohhhh okay, that makes more sense then. Thanks
The timeline says that he fought his way into the marsh house in November 1st and from there it carried onto November 2nd where he died, but he was talking to the stranger in the 1st so clem was still most likely born on the 26th of October
It's kind of cool to be able to figure that sort of stuff out for ourselves instead of having it given out right in front of us, huh?
why
Get that shit out of my face dude.
Season 2 didn't suck.
Bonnie isn't a horrible person.
Kenny and Jane are different flavored fruit loops.
