It's also frustrating because of how many players will have chosen to shoot Conrad to save Clementine/Gabe. And now, all of those players li… morekely loathe Gabe for snitching.
And since Gabe already has a poor popularity rank to begin with, chances are most won't find much redeeming qualities left from him in the finale and will want him dead or gone.
Along with his ongoing crush on Clem, this little shit fucking pissed me off this episode so much. I used to like him too, I was rooting for him, now I just don't give a shit. I saved your ass and now you're throwing me under the bus, fuck you Gabe.
"hurt Clementines feelings"? yeah sure, thats the only downside, we know that now, but in that situation, who is to know what would happen? we didnt know the extent and context of Clementines stay with the new Frontier, and Conrad is personally holding Clementine responsible (pretty much) for Francines death, just because she was in the New Frontier, without even knowing why or how it happened.
Honestly, I have no regrets about shooting Conrad, especially after he brought Gabe into it (although I hate that prick after this episode), Conrad was off the handle, and had just as little right blaming/using Clementine for anything as Javier had the right to shoot him
I say Javi's the hypocrite saying life is precious after killing a man when he didn't have to. Bottom line is that people killed Conrad when… more they didn't have to. The only real downside to sparing him is that you hurt Clementine's feelings.
However... I may have chosen my words poorly, I didn't mean to belittle other people's choices. In my opinion killing Conrad is wrong but maybe others feel differently.
Hey, I never said he wasn't moody
He's probably feeling a bit of survivors guilt over having been part of getting Conrad killed, like I said in this thread before, he might be trying to make Javi feel all the guilt over it.
It is really unfortunate. My initial fear about Gabe being the fusion of the worst aspects of Carl and Ben turned out to be true...I don't want to hate Gabe, but it is so hard to like him. Duck, Ben and Sarah are characters who are burdens to their group, but you can always feel sympathy toward them and you understand why they are the way they are.
Unless something changes in Episode 5, I really feel itching to see him get bitten or shot.
When you fucking hate Gabe and the game finally lets you start to tell him your sick of his shit and then you get to the part where realize you can finally yell your fucking lungs out to him and you get hyped af
How was it "a shitty thing to do"? The fuq?
Conrad took Gabe hostage. Threatened his life and wanted to use Clementine, a teenage-girl, as a bargaining chip.. just because he could not get over the death of his love interest. Conrad was a maniac.
He became an unpredictable, unstable danger to the entire group. When you take someone hostage, you need to be put down for good. That's how I see it.
Life is precious, but not at all costs. If you screw up your chance, you loose the value of your life. Simple as that.
Oh dang! I didn't see that coming! Choices don't matter they said.
Honestly that doesn't anger me at all. Serves Javi right I say. I mea… moren he has the balls to say life is precious after that? Majority may have picked it but it was a pretty shitty thing to do. I applaud Telltale for having that choice bite you in the ass.
"Asshole-choice" when you eliminate an unstable danger to the entire group? Conrad was a maniac and TOOK GABE HOSTAGE. Is that childsplay for you? Nah, that's when you cross the line. That's when you need to be put down for good.
Depends on your choices wether Gabe is ok or totally being a little piece of shit.
When you chose to spare Conrad, Gabe will be fine.
When… more you killed Conrad, Gabe will betray you and will be a totally shitbird I just wanna get rid off.
Seems asshole choices create asshole kids.
For some reason Gabe was being right after Javi killed Conrad and told Gabe how life is precious.
I could imagine the amount of hate for both Jane and Kenny on the forums. There's two sides: one against Kenny and the other against Jane.
But with Gabe, I've never seen so many people hate a kid in a Telltale game before, let alone a main character in the story. I wonder if Telltale will listen to the black lash and kill Gabe off next episode?
Gabe's got two moods.
* ima MAN letz fuk shit up and get ppl killed lulz
* oh hi Clem
And what is TT planning again? To make Gabe a new protagonist or an important side character? Ha, good luck with it.

El can die too. She is the Season 3 Bonnie.
Just some opportunistic bitch who easily betray friends.
I guess Clem got the Bonnie vibes with Eleanor. A nice acting person with 2 faces.
Gabe's a spoiled brat. He's not loyal. He can't do anything without asking for help or having help. He's protected by plot when he's not deserving of it. He's not needed. He's cliché. And he had a wannabe and discount Lee and Clem moment with Javier. I can't believe there was a moment like that in this episode or any episode. So cringe. I think that moment definitely means he's going to survive unfortunately and it might mean that Javier's not going to make up. I hope it wont be like season 1. If telltale does the same thing they did with Lee and Clem in season that would be the worse scene in a telltale series for me and I would probably be livid.
Sarah can't control her anxiety and PTSD, but she does try her best to help the group. She's Clementine's friend and is an absolute sweetheart who wouldn't hurt a fly.
Ben, while making horrible decisions, means well. He made the deal with the bandits with intent to stop them from taking over the camp (there's unused audio which has him talk about how they raped and killed the kids in his camp, so he's suffering from PTSD and survivor's guilt), left Clementine out of fear and tried to make up for it, and took the hatchet out of the door in belief it was a weapon to help them (yeah, it was a dumb move, but I can't stay mad at him)
Duck is a rambunctious ten year old boy who minds his own business, provides companionship for Clementine, and did help Lee in Episode 3. He's a good kid, if not a little irritating as most little boys are, and I can't help but have a smile on my face when he goes on about being the Robin to Lee's Batman.
Gabe? There are no redeeming qualities to Gabe. He's a spoiled fucking brat. I've been with him since the beginning of the apocalypse, treated him like a son and tried to cheer him up, and saved his life and this is how he treats me? I wasn't going to sell out a young girl or have Conrad kill my nephew, so I made the decision to kill him. I wasn't happy with it, but in my mind it had to be done. Gabe begged me to kill him. So, he decides to rat my ass out and makes me the bad guy, putting me in danger, just so he can be a big shit. I don't think so. He's dead to my Javier and my Clementine would've turned on him for that. If he wants to be with David, fine, but he better stay with him because my Javier isn't leaving Richmond with him. I'd say he's worse than Arvo.
Comments
Like that was gonna stop some of them anyway.
LMAO
LOL he would have shitted his pants if that walker was not actually dead.

I was always under the impression he killed it himself, given that it's the only one we see out there.
It's hilarious. Thanks tho.
I wish I had a chance to "tell Gabe off".
Yeah, no, that won't hold up in court.

If you spare Conrad
If you kill Conrad
Every chance I saw to get him killed I took, too bad you always die yourself too in those scenes...

That moment when you are one of the few people who didn't kill Conrad.
Funny how it's looking more like sparing Conrad was the right choice
All this Gabe hate is so amusing..
It was the right choice from the start brother!
I swear. That was exactly what I yelled towards my monitor.
When you fucking hate Gabe and the game finally lets you start to tell him your sick of his shit and then you get to the part where realize you can finally yell your fucking lungs out to him and you get hyped af
I think at this moment, the dark side is a sweat medicine that smoothes my frustrations with Gabe.
They should give us a lightsaber battle between Clem and Gabe for the finale!
Telltale staff reading the forums like...

Yes! If he wasn't a whiny bitch I wouldn't mind but honestly this will turn out the worst game ever if it happens
"@Everyone'sClemInTime will like this"
Or
(?)Everyone'sClemInTime will remember this
Seriously, when was the last time, or if any time, a Telltale character has been hated so much as Gabe?
Arvo?
It wasn't even good though, more contrived conflict perpetuated by characters to sloppily push the story forward.
ZZZ.
Kenny and Jane, back when the shitstorm hit the forums. People would go insane and die while arguing with each other.
I could imagine the amount of hate for both Jane and Kenny on the forums. There's two sides: one against Kenny and the other against Jane.

To make Clem Gabe's babysitter.
It is obvious she likes this role with him so..

Yeah, while I don't think he'll ever outright get someone else killed, this did act as a humorous contribution to my issue with his exposee.
Are you talking about the fans or the characters themselves?
I didn't like bonnie. El doing what she did was mike like and I didn't like that.

tfw when gabe blames you for shooting conrad when he told you to in episode 2
