I agree that most people are just overreacting (I was too at first). They were just being kids having a good time, it doesn't mean Clem has … morethe same feelings towards him. She's just there for him as a friend, trying to help him out.

I can see your point. Clem is starved for socializing with kids her age. Everyone can get like that even if she won't admit it because of he… morer tough girl persona. However, I just would find it more believable if she hated Gabe over his fascination for his Dad and the way he acts like him from time to time. These characters got history and I want them to discuss it, not brush it over for feel good moments.
The problem is that it's another example of how the constant attempts at romance in this Season is at extreme risk of being borderline sexist at certain point and neglecting actual development between the characters in question.
Javier and Kate are the "best" by virtue of being related to the ongoing story and being a determinant choice in the penultimate, while Tripp and Eleanor are the worst because it's not even a relationship so much as two underdeveloped character spinning their wheels when they could, you know, actually have a point to existing at this point.
Gabe can be a jerk most of the time, but I still don't see a problem with all that 'Gabentine' situation. And you guys need to chill. That was just cards.
