thankyou for this. for real. i thought the walking dead a new frontier and more specifically gabe is going to be the one thing thats gonna fuck up clem for everyone except for the pokemon thinking. this give me hope. cause this is what i want for this game . for clem
i mean if you want me to take it down i will. but you did a really good job with that shit bro. like and sub lmfao. i was rolling for hours when i saw that shit
Imo Clem doesn't need to be with anyone. But if they allowed you to choose who you want her to be with and you had the option between not just a male but a female too I would be okay with that. Love should be decided by the players and not the devs. And it should be universal. Not one dimensional. No matter what kind of game it is. If romance and love is involved the person who decides who they want to be with and who they want to direct their love towards should only be the player.
Gabe is going to break her heart by cheating on her with his cup of noodles to make godpudding babies, make her go through major BPD, through suicidal territory and she discovers the euchre cards Gabe had in his pockets gave her hepatitis A and she tries to drive away as it is a means of catharsis and she drove back to Howe's to hang herself in the same noose Jane used and die. 1 week later Gabe discovered he got pregnant instead of the cup of noodles then went the Howe's to use the same noose. Keep this noose mentality going will you

Telltale:
Let's create a character that cannot kill a walker, is a pussy, feels important but he is shit and he is so fucking edgy.
Now let's couple him with the protagonist of S2, a badass survivor.
Fans will love that!
This whole damn pairing comes across like: "Oh hey, there's a boy and a girl and they are both teenagers. THEY MUST BE IN LOVE!"
Really now? I'm not against them being friends or Gabe having a crush on her but I really dislike how the adults are like: "Maybe they'll hit it off. I mean, they have just said 'Hello' to each other but whatever. Boy, girl, same age... it must happen."
Then later: "Ah, young love!"
Okay, I'm usually not this... aggressive but shut the fuck up. Maybe let them be friends first without forcing all this shipping bs into it. (You know, I'm getting flashbacks from my own life when I was in my early teens and my childhood friend, who happens to be male, came to visit and everyone were like wink wink nudge nudge and I was like "Leave us alone! We just want to play this videogame!" They practically managed to drive him out since they made the situation so uncomfortable.)
Anyhow, Telltale has been rather frustrating this season with the forced romances. It was the same with Kate. You could have taken every opportunity to reject her, yet the other characters acted like you two were a thing. They didn't imply that Kate was really onto you, they implied you were into it too. And now with Clem and Gabe everyone are assuming they must be a thing. For some reason. Doesn't make me invested at all since the lack of development makes the whole thing just feel like it's shoehorned in and the only basis is because they are both teenagers and the opposite sex. Like, she doesn't even seem to acknowledge he's David's son. I'd assume arguments are inevitable since Gabe is such a daddy's boy while Clem pretty much seems to hope David would die. She rejects anything positive said about him and insists he's a bad guy. Yeah, this "romance" is up to a good start.
Gabe is more likely to get her killed by doing something stupid due to being impulsive and a hothead, than to make her happy, unless he changes of course
I want her to be happy, but I can't see her being that way with Gabe.
Also, yes you can say he's going through puberty and when I was his… more age I was surrounded by annoying prats just like him and I've seen how they've matured later on, so yes there always is the possibility he can become better and maybe it could work in the future, just not now.
As for Clem herself, she is free to make her own choices and if she wants to go with Gabe (for whatever reason) than that's her choice, I just wanted to point out that their relationship has been underdeveloped so far and from a writing standpoint it will just seem odd if they ended up together.
I think one of the reasons why people, myself included, don't want Gabe with Clem is because we literally were Clem in season 2...... Like bruh shouldn't we at least be allowed to choose?! It makes no sense for us to play her in flashbacks and have some type of "Choices matter" (When it doesn't at all) and then we're expected to just go along with this.
Came back to this discussion to see what people said, so far there's pole dancing Ben, Clabe over Gabentine, Memes and leaked scripts from Episode 5 and Gabe X Noodle Cup.
I forgot how weird and wonderful the internet can be.

I thought for a second there this was going to get taken down or something, got me worried that I'd broken the rules, but thank you for clearing it up better than I could MetallicaRules.

What was Telltale thinking when they wrote Gabe's character and this painfully forced ship? They clearly expected players to be pissed off by his actions based on dialogue choices they can make but... they're still trying to force us to accept Gabentine? And they don't even give him any scenes to redeem himself either. I would chalk this up to bad writing but c'mon, they must've known this was going to happen, right?
What happened to the Clem that told Nick off for almost shooting her and then boldly claimed she tries to avoid people like him? What about the Clem who could leave Sarah to die and not feel an inch of remorse? You're going to tell me that THAT Clementine would fall for Gabe, a whiny brat with no survival skills? wtf
Telltale killed Duck and Sarah. Telltale fulfilled their quota of killing off one kid in every season. Gabe's safe because they killed off Mariana. If you can't decide Gabe's fate like you decided Ben's that would be obnoxious.
Exactly. I wanted Sarah to be Clementine's best friend, but Telltale killed her in cold blood for no goddamn reason and now they're forcing that my poor Clem to get near that piece of shit cocksucker that I always trying not to hate. Gabe should die!!

I agree, but she's been doing out of character things all season long. Maybe if enough people bitch and complain about it, Telltale will see reason. Probably not though lol.

Gay? really?
If Clem is happy, then I'm happy, honestly I don't really care and think people are overreacting.
Gabe should have been mowed down in episode 1 part II but whatever.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't miss that meme.
Oh. Nevermind then.
OH MY GOD
Gabe: I have a confession, Clem. I love you.
Clem: I'm so happy to hear that, I feel the same way.
Gabe: For reals?
Clem: lol, no, wtf u thinkin
Hahahaha

Gold.
GeeeeeeZUS now this can't happen. All i can think of is Gabe, Ben and Clem all together......
Nice you found the leaked script for ep5. GET HYPED EVERY1

Still more manly than Gabe.

Well, he is a senior with stubble....
My thought exactly. It's really looking like some awful fanfic crap between these two.
Well you have to admit, most of the rules here are bullshit. I probably broke one by saying that but rules are made to be broken, right?
see u get it
yeah gay

To think that all the death and sacrifice for Clementine would lead to this abomination is kind of saddening.
Gabe deserves to die!!!!! He is already worse than Ben and Duck.

I happily support the relationship.
true shit. totally out of character for her
true. she hates david. yet gabe tries his best to act like david around her.
I agree, but she's been doing out of character things all season long. Maybe if enough people bitch and complain about it, Telltale will see reason. Probably not though lol.
