Because where do we draw the line for forgiveness then?
It's always going to depend on the person and what context they viewed the situation. Arvo's one of my personal favorite characters but I acknowledge what he did was wrong and completely out of line, however I can also see the reasoning behind his actions and how the situation led up to it. For me, it's always going to depend on what the character's reasoning was, what information they had at the time of the decision, and whether or not their idea was really worth the risk.
I did that uneven comparison on purpose. Because where do we draw the line for forgiveness then? Does it depend on the number how many people died? If they died directly or indirectly by your actions?
Yeah, I can't believe how many characters I hate in this story. I really do try to like them when I'm playing, but they are just so all over place. And I know it's Telltale just forcing that drama in, even if it's either unnecessary or does not flow well. This game patheticly tries to make you feel bad for your choices, but it just takes me out of the experience being around all these unlikable characters and their constant mood swings.
There's a chance that Joan's people took hold of Tripp somehow and she used him as a bargaining chip: "You spill the beans about what that cholo is planning to do and we'll do no harm to your friend". Then again, it would still seem kinda off since Eleanor looked pretty serious and didn't even flinch when Joan exposed her betrayal.
Yeah, because people who destroy her home, kill all citizens and even shoot a young, innocent girl in cold blood are going to solve a planned coup peacefully. No adult person can be that stupid.
Finally some truth. I don't understand everyone sticking up for Eleanor, I even liked her for the first 3 episodes. The only way her betrayal makes any sense is shitty writing. Her and Tripp were annoying in this episode.
They killed a 10 year old girl in front of her own eyes.
She is just a backstabbing bitch.
Same level as Bonnie.
Just Eleanor is a medic, Bonnie just a thug and junkie.
I feel the same.
I care most about Clem, Javi and David.
They can make a nice group/family of survivors.
Perhaps including AJ.
And even Gabe to stir more problems lol.
David only done that because there was absolutely no way Joan was going to let us just walk out of the door. She even says that just before Clint cuts David loose. David killing Clint was bullshit though.
Honestly, fuck David, I was really starting to like him, then when we get offered safe passage out of Richmond and everything seems to be fi… morene David is like "Hold my beer, ima fuck this shit up"
Im leaving David after that stunt he pulled if you decide to take the deal
I found it so hilarious that after Tripp goes on a tirade on how terrible of a person Javier is and states he never wants to speak to Javier again; Tripp all of a sudden, in the climax, states that he's got Javier's back in the shootout and it's even more hilarious if you actually kill Conrad and choose Ava.

It only makes no sense because we don't know the whole story. I doubt that fans will forgive her but I believe she has her reasons and she didn't at all except someone to die. Maybe except for David.

I agree that the betrayal makes less sense if Conrad is alive. I feel like a few more lines of dialogue or a conversation with her during E4 would've gone a long way towards this having more impact, and being clear after the fact. They might've even avoided it if she had perhaps gone to Clint, and Clint brought it to Joan which would've also given the ending where David pursues Clint after Joan is shot as having more meaning.
This. Oh my goodness, this.
There are no motivations given as to why she would think after the death of her entire community she could trust their murderers.
She does argue against assassination Joan or starting a civil war in Richmond, with her goodwill achieved through Dr. Lingard being cited as a way to do things peacefully. Tripp also argues that the rest of the group wouldn't be as welcome as she is at the beginning.
Still, they really should've given her focus to build that up better.
The betrayal makes sense if you killed Conrad. She's acting on pure emotion after her own feeling of betrayal. What isn't done as well in th… moreat choice when it occurs is that Tripp is on the chopping block when he was equally against Javier at that point. He would've been an asset for Joan, and could've been an emotional antagonist for us in E5. It would've given us such a strong ending to face someone a lot of people like, and for a choice we made not have an option for a peaceful resolution.

Every single character in this game is designed with being unique in one way. Just one. (Except for Tripp and Eleanor, which seem to have no… more traits at all) For example, Ava is sarcastic, David overreactive and Joan evil. I am seriously starting to miss somebody like Danny St.John or even Larry, simply because they had so many different traits. Example:
Season 1: Look, we got some dialogue choices and monologues that imply that this guy might be a pervert. Also, you found out earlier that something strange is going on on this farm.
Season 2: Hey dude, we got some information to you. This guy over there has some serious anger problems.
Season 3: THEY ARE IN LOVE! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
And I would accept this way of storytelling. It is a way of character development. But not from a team that already did better and puts this bloody "The game is tailored by how you play" nonsense on the screen every time, while I barely can save somebody for two… [view original content]
Yeah, I was looking forward to some vitriol between those two and more of the group being a bit sketchy with three wild cards in it. But they don't even mention each other from what I recall.
I love how this conrad thing is starting to be presented as if most players killed him for no reason, no its another example of a character … moreflipping a 180. Again I have to love how the character just completley changed the moment he gets saved
"Hey I just want to sell this teenager to this enemy group that killed my wife and ill kill this other teenager if you dont"
Next episode
"Oh i kinda goofed about almost killing your nephew javi"
"Oh its fine man"
Clementine too just flips back and forgets you betrayed her.

You would really trust Joan to just let us walk away? Did you forget the fact that she is responsible for the death of communities, people and children? She is the reason Mariana and Ava/Tripp died. She didn't deserve to live. I shot that bitch ASAP. David did the right thing. If he didn't do it, Javier's whole group would have died.

I feel like that whole sequence was really inconsistent tbh, there is no way that the people of Richmond would still consider Joan their leader after she openly executes someone in front of everyone, I also see no reason why she wouldnt let them go, what does she gain from killing them? they dont want to be in Richmond anyways, why not just get them the fuck out and be done with it?

It's not that they're not 100% all the time. It's the fact that we have no reason to care about them. They have just about no character, and the ones that do are either stupid for plot reasons or stupid because of Telltale's weird writing. In every other game they've made, most of the characters at least had reasons for the things they did, but in this season they're all idiots. How can I care about characters that I know nothing about and act mentally retarded 90% of the time?
I'll be honest, the way you feel really surprises me.
I really just cannot understand this forum. It feels as though unless a character's… more on your 100% of the time or support your every decision that they hate them. Not to mention that people literally have been complaining about getting what they've asked for.

At least with the other two groups I could trust them and had a solid relationship with them. Not in this season, though. The only who has my ass is Clem and apparently determinate Conrad (who I killed in my game).
I agree, Motor Inn group was the first and most memorable one, full of various and complex characters.
Cabin Group was relatable, flawed … moreand nicely developed despite problems with Kenny. It's still painful to think how they all died.
But Prescott group (?) seems to be just a jumble of random, disorganized people surviving on the purest of luck.

honestly fuck gabe fuck the rest of the cast. tripp was cool but he fucked that up. im ideal ending would be david dies. gabe attacks javi over his father's death . clem shoots gabe to save javi . javi and clem find aj and javier helps clem raise him kinda like clem and kenny. yay season three wouldnt be a complete fuck up
Maybe, but at least he wasn't evil because the game screamed at you that hes evil. Instead, you (Lee) find out about it.
Also, I dont think so. Carver is so much worse in my opinion. Maybe because I waited for a twist for two episodes, which made those episoden pretty supid and meaningless after playing through the game. Danny is a very powerless and frustrated guy, who suddenly gets power and makes horrible use of it. Its maybe the same with Andy, but I consider him much smarter and with another motivation then use of power. Fascism pretty much worked only because of that.
What I'm trying to say: No. And even yes, it doesnt matter, cause its delivered better.
I guess thats right. I just didnt care about both of them and the game wasnt trying to convince me to do. The way I see it now, Eleanor actually has traits (or at least one), while Tripp is...just some guy with a funny hairstyle.

Quality writing my friend.
True, but they still should've built that shit up better.

Tripp more so than Eleanor, I'd say.
Yeah, I was looking forward to some vitriol between those two and more of the group being a bit sketchy with three wild cards in it. But they don't even mention each other from what I recall.
Tripp was a shitty since Part 2, dude. At this point, I'm just assuming he's mentally handicapped or at least been hit in the head too many times.

Easy.
Just don't.
Yeah, just because I dislike most of the cast of a video game makes me a weird person. Okay.

It takes them forever to realise that their leader is a murderer.
What did she gain from killing Ava/Tripp? That's my question
Why not just kill this bitch who keeps destroying communities? What if Javier's group ends up in commmunity and The New Frontier comes to raid it?
I think they're also saying they didn't like Nick.
Were you always this funny?

lmao Danny st John was the most cliche evil character ever
I contribute it to the poor writing of the characters and the season.
Fair enough, but I truly feel that applies to him in particular.
It does just like it did to Kenny. I feel that it is a part of how his character is its just how it's executed.
Tripp used to be Kenny 0.6, yet attempt to capitalize on the fisherman's 'popularity." Now, he's just a waste of time.

i wish it was that easy but this game forces these characters upon you
Yeah, this season has only bad writers, we know.

How is Carver worse? He had reasons Danny did it because he wanted pure enjoyment there are so many more characters like Danny he's not unique at all
Here here.
So what makes Carver so unique? His sick coat? (Although I would totally accept this as a reason). He seems pretty Standart in the TWD universe.
He wasn't really but still alot better than Danny
With a lot of writers, they can't even make this season a masterpiece.
