Are they messing up TWD games reputation ?

  • Neither do I.

I don't give a damn about Job anymore after he lied to us about the game before it came out

  • 77 is bad for a game about the narrative and the story. It's 76% now btw.

A 77% is still a decent percentage. Can't really argue with you on the negative front page reviews. They also have other outlets besides Steam like PSN or Xbox Live.

  • You can try reddit I guess but people there are just blind and fail to see the problems with the game

What is it with the hostility towards people who enjoy the game and don't constantly bash it? Did it ever occur to you, that someone can like something despite its flaws? I like the game and I'm fully aware it has problems. I'm aware that the Season 2 endings were handled horribly, the Kenny and Jane models looked like burnt action figures, and that the romances are really forced. However, I think the good stuff is still really good and outweighs the bad. People seem to have that mindset with the first game, so what makes the sequels so different?

Let's see...Facebook I guess ? People not happy there, at least on the Telltale page

That's a bad example. People on the Telltale Facebook page are almost never satisfied with anything Telltale does. 95% of the comments are just people bitching and moaning about not getting another season of a game that was never even confirmed to have multiple seasons to begin with. The general concencous of ANF plays little to no part in any of that. That has existed long before ANF was released.

It's not about opinion here, they fail to provide what's good and what's bad with the episodes (In the ep4 review they didn't even mention the choices being really good, even better than some Season 1 and 2 choices, how many determinant characters there are or how we get to bond with Clem more in this episode)

Y'know what, you actually make a good point there. I'll give you that one.

That was a way of saying they don't give a damn about the game, there was once an interview hosted by IGN (I think) about Episode 1 and 2 and the guy who was asking the questions didn't play the episodes until after a few weeks after release, right before the interview, because he didn't really care about the game.

Didn't the IGN reviews come out the day the episode came out or a couple days later? Chances are the same person who reviewed the episode isn't the same person who was doing the interview. And even with that said, don't most reporters do that already? Aren't they supposed to do a little research on the subject before they set up an interview so they at least have a somewhat basic understanding and know what questions to ask? Would you rather they have not played the game and then been totally clueless during the interview?

Yeah, I'm sure no other actual fans exist outside the Telltale forums You can try reddit I guess but people there are just blind and

  • Definitely better than Season 2 for me as ANF actually has a focus and direction. While it's not that great it's probably between a 6-7 which is more than I can say for Season 2 which has 2 really good episodes then becomes quite literally awful for the remaining 3. Neither 2 nor ANF nor any other Telltale game (bar Tales of the Borderlands to an extent) has really been as good as Season 1.

  • I thought season 2 was going pretty well until Carver was killed. After that, it just became a game about testing how far you would let a friend go before you did something about it. Which didn't really work, considering a lot of people were not friends with Kenny to begin with.

  • I am still liking this season, but I feel like it's messy. Clem's story feels like its just background noise. I love Clem, but if she was not in this season at all, then it wouldn't affect the story one bit. They really should have just focused this entire season on Javier and the Prescott group (so that we could actually get attached to them), then have Clem appear in the next season so that we could do more justice to the characters and to Clem. Instead, I feel like we didn't really get to know the Prescott group, and Clem's story became just an extra thrown here and there.

  • It's loved outside of the forums. People seem to forget that this is only a minuscule percentage of the game's fanbase.

And those people in my opinion are just fans who except any shit given to them. They are just ridiculous if they are honestly satisfied with this season compared to season 1 and even 2. But they are welcome to love this game, i just will never understand why if they had previously played the other 2.

What's missing? You had to ask? Everything they had in season 1 is what is missing:

    • 2 hour+ eps
    • more gameplay/hubs
    • character interaction and development
    • optional dialogue convo's which carried over depending on what Lee said. This was considered an optional minor choice but it added great things to the story and felt like our choices mattered.
    • optional side quests and puzzles.

That is what is missing from Season 3 and almost every other Telltale game after 2012.

There too many new characters that no one gives a shit about, I have not got S3 because I was let down by S2 so I was not stupid enough to give TT any of my money for what I expected to be another lousy Season, so I just watch it on YouTube to see if I was right and hell yes I was!

I always end up fast forwarding the videos just for when Clementine is on because she's the only character I show any interest in and even she is quite boring and I get tired of her stink eye look she has all the time. The new graphics engine looks pretty turd too, I preferred the old version.

Meh it's finished with. What other games are coming out?

  • Tales from the Borderlands did have what TWD Season 2 lacked

  • It was a slight improvement but i wasn't feeling it at all really. In TWD Season 1 we could explore large areas, you could open doors and explore another area (drugstore, st john's barn, train station etc). It just felt limited again in Tales.

Don't get me wrong though, I enjoyed the story, the jokes and the likeable characters. It was certainly a close 2nd or 3rd fav game from Telltale in that sense. But it just lacked so much that Season 1 had

No need to be cocky just because you didn't like what i said! Jeez! I'll rephrase it then, it baffles me how some people can find satisfaction in this new game after playing the other 2 which offered much more for the same price where as this game offers nothing great

Coming from the guy who called other people ridiculous for being satisfied with a game that he personally disliked. I dare even say you're a little cockier than I am. LOL.

Yep! I was aware of my cockiness thanks, I don't deny that lol. I was referring to solely your reaction to my post on this occasion. But anyway, you enjoy this shitty game all you want, it's fine

  • Well said. On the same note, this is from the most recent Glassdoor review from yesterday

"The company is a structure-less boondoggle with less money than they claim, and waning popularity due to consistently low quality product."
"Try reaching out to the few veterans you still have"
"Unless some major changes are made, everyone in the company agrees that the writing is on the wall. Telltale is in desperate need of an overhaul before it collapses from within."

It's okay. I'm not offended. Admittley, I probably could've handled the situation better myself. So I apologize as well. I let my cockiness get the better of me sometimes.
