Decisive moments no one thinks of?

I was just wondering what you guys thought where some decisive moments that no one thinks of in these 3 seasons that if they didn't happen, the story would be a lot different.
I mean a decisive moment that everyone thinks of is the moment when Lee meets Clementine. But for example a decisive moment no one thinks of is the moment the truck hang off the edge of the road in season 1. If that didn't happen, the group would've never met Christa and Omid, because the train did not have to stop. Then obviously the story would've gone a lot different. I really like to think of these little things that woul've changed the story a lot. What do you guys think of?

Comments

  • Clementine being rescued by Luke and Pete.

Carlos getting shot by Tavia's men.

Half the shit Jane pulled, really.

  • Kenny salt-licking Larry

    Finding the station wagon

    Duck dying

Clem laying her gun down in the rest stop bathroom

Not telling Arvo his sis was a walker

    Luke dying

    • Finding the ski lodge
    • Being escorted to Hershel's farm
    • Nick dying
    • Clementine's walkie-talkie ending up near that pile of garbage...
    • Vernon taking the boat
    • Rebecca having AJ
  • Chuck. Lee wouldn't have taught Clem to cut her hair or shoot. Also Clem would have died after Ben ran away from her in Savannah

  • Tavia (accidentally?) shooting Carlos. It was literally the harbinger to every single following death. Sarita, Nick, Sarah, Rebecca, etc.

I'm too lazy to explain why so I'll just Ctrl C + Ctrl V an old post:

For starters, Sarah wouldn't have panicked which means that Sarita would still be alive. The group wouldn't have lingered around for so long in the herd so Nick wouldn't be shot. The group probably wouldn't split up so no Rebecca-Jane-Clem conversation about the baby. Kenny wouldn't go insane and the group would still be cool around him. Since Luke and Nick aren't saving Sarah, Nick is alive! The whole group would happily devise a plan to deliver Rebecca's baby. Since they would have way more time to prepare, they could get Rebecca better conditions to deliver AJ. Rebecca would still scream, so the walkers would still come, so Sarah would still collapse along with it (so (lol) many so's and still's!). Carlos would go down there to save her, and he would manage to do so since she trusts him more than Jane and would comply. Rebecca would have a doctor to deliver her baby and properly take care of them both afterward, preventing her death. I believe that the group would decide to search the town for supplies. Arvo's group wouldn't ambush our group since there would be no way in hell 4 people could steal supplies from a group of 10 people (without counting the baby!). After surviving for a while everyone would agree to take the baby to Howe's or at least get the formula there. I believe that Sarita's presence would make Kenny way more reasonable about things. They get to Howe's, find the food and the formula. They'd settle there and have occasional expeditions North in order to find Wellington (because Kenny would ask real nice). They start letting people like Randy, Patricia, and Gill in, and form a mighty community!

    :dab:

  • If Garcia's didn't act stupid about eating some pudding, TWD:ANF wouldn't happen.

  • Clem teaching Sarah how to use a gun and helping her do her chores in Episode 3.

  • Honestly, now that I think about it, I don't think Sarah would've fallen at all because Carlos would actually try to keep track of where she is(nice eyes, Clementine and Luke) and would probably have her next to him delivering AJ.

Tavia (accidentally?) shooting Carlos. It was literally the harbinger to every single following death. Sarita, Nick, Sarah, Rebecca, etc.

  • Oh, how different it would've been if Clementine decided to drop a hammer on Lee's head when he was wondering if he could fill that teacup with some bourbon.

  • I think Clem would have the worst first impression. I don't think fans would warm up to her until the farm scene .

Had they not crapped out season 3 none of this shit woulda happened

  • This. So I could have used money on RE7 DLCs instead.

  • If Ben and the rest of his initial school friends died at the very start of S1E2, the group would not know that dying always turns you into a walker. This means the meat locker situation would definitely result in Larry turning into a walker and possibly killing everyone inside.

Also more importantly, if Ben died at the St. John's place:

    • No bandit raid since Ben can't do the secret bandit deal. This means Duck, Katjaa, and Carley/Doug would live.
    • Since the group was planning on leaving the motel anyway they would most likely still find the train. Chuck would live since he wouldn't have to save Clem because of Ben.
    • Brie would also live.
    • With such a large group, they would most likely abandon the boat and head on somewhere else all together.
  • Also more importantly, if Ben died at the St. John's place:

Was he at the St. John's for long?

Or rather, leave Kenny, Katjaa, and Duck to the boat and the rest would move on.

  • Had the cop car just crashed 5 or ten yards further, Lee would've never met Clem.
