Ep.5/Finale Predictions

Basically, what do you think will happen in the finale? Who'll die? Will the season end with a high note? I think:

-Jesus will come back to help Javi
-Javier will lead New Richmond with the help from David/Kate
-Kate and David will be determinant (If you accepted Kate's feelings David will die and if you didn't Kate will die).
-Ava/Tripp will die
-Conrad will live throughout the whole season
-Clementine leaves Javi and his family to look for AJ
-Gabe will confess his feelings to Clem, but she'll turn him down. (Please don't let this be a choice, Telltale.)

  • Clementine lives. Gabe dies. Good ending to me!

  • I'd like Gabe to have a determinant status by the end of the episode.

  • i'd like to see gabe get rejected then die. Or Go off with his father to be never seen again

  • Everyone dies.

  • Hobo Neo returns with some people to perform a few wall runs and drop kicks on NF loyalists and the horde.

Javier takes over Richmond and enters into a truce/alliance with Jesus.

    No playable sections as Clem.

Gabentine is determinant based on how you treated Gabe. The worse you were to him, the more likely it happens. Because of course that's what they'll do.

David goes on his way alone or with Gabe, because he won't accept being in his brothers shadow again.

I was just about to say, that'd be fuckin perfect! :joy:

  • Well, it does make some sort of sense: he's not getting the love/attention/approval/whatever from his uncle, so he'd default to running away with either his dad or Clementine.

  • I treated him quite well, even after his outburst and ratting me out. So it'd be unlikely for my playthrough to happen. That's soothing to know. :)

  • Yeah, I did see that. It's an interesting concept, but I think it'd be for the best if he and the other Garcias were simply put on a bus instead.

You know, assuming his following Clementine is a hook to a much later Season/Episode.

I actually had a cool idea about him running away to find Clementine.

    • Gabentine

    • Branding of Clem

    • No major deaths, I promise you.Clem, Gabe, Javi,AJ, and David are safe.

  • I get his mindset, but the player making choices that result in a previously player character going against the choices we made. That's just poor taste, man.

  • Javier will become a leader of The New Frontier and Clem will find AJ and then she'll say goodbye to Javier and his family. Maybe the episode will end like this:
Clementine: Javi...Thank you! You helped me find AJ and that means a lot to me.
Javi: No problem, Clem.Take care of that sweet boy!
    Clementine: I will! I promise!
    Clementine leaves!

I think it'll be more like:
Javi: Thanks Clem...for helping out with my family.
Clem: Thanks to you too. I wouldn't be able to find AJ if it weren't for you.
    They hug
Javi: You sure you don't wanna stay with us?
Clem: I'm sorry, Javi, I can't. This place has too many...memories. I think it's best for AJ if we leave, just the two of us.
    Javi: What about Gabe?
    Clem: What about him?
    Javi: Don't you...like him?
Clem: Not like that. I'm just trying to help him through a tough time, I didn't mean for him to have a crush on me.
    Javi: That makes sense....goodbye, Clem.
Clem: Bye, Javi...maybe I'll stop by to see how things are.

  • I think she'll leave because Richmond will remind her about the horrible stuff she's been through while there, like what Jane said about Howe's.

    And thanks!

  • In perspective, The New Frontier is the only reason why AJ is alive. And Clem , if she stays would ensure that AJ safety. Unless she finds another community. It would just be unwise.

Also, I don't think she'll find AJ any ways based on the leak. ;)

  • I don't think she'll just stop looking for AJ, especially if Lingard told her where he was. AJ is her light and I doubt she'll choose Javi's family over him, considering she only knew them for a few days.

  • Ah, sorry about that.

I think it all comes down to whether or not if David is still alive in the end. She still hates him and doesn't trust him. If he's alive, she'll most likely leave so David doesn't get on her bad side again.

In that case, David needs to die so she can stay. but that would also mean a more of a chance of Gabentine, seeing that Gabe would need to be accompanied more and there's one less reason that it wouldn't happen. imagine if David is alive and Gabe tells his dad his feels towards Clem.

Gabe: Dad, I want to impress a girl, but I don't know what to say. I go stupid in the head when i'm around her.

David: Oh. who's the lucky girl?

    (David becomes enraged)

David: Her! Son, she's below you! she's feral and a theft.

    (Gabe angered)

Gabe: Fuck you ,dad. Clem saved this family where were you?

    David: You ungrateful little--

    Gabe: Javi kissed Kate.

    David: What!!!

    Something like that

  • David disapproved of Gabentine so hard that he forgot how to grammar for a second there.

Admittedly, I do kinda wanna see Gabe stand up to him, though.

  • I think Gabe will rather be confused than angry with his Dad.

Gabe: Dad...I kinda like this girl...

    David: Really now? Who?

    Gabe: That girl, Clementine.

    David: Her? Gabe, she's trouble.

Gabe: Huh? Why? She seems cool...

David: You don't know her like I do, Gabe. She stole from us. She even threatened me at one point. Stay away from her, she's dangerous.

  • Am i the only one who does NOT want Javi to take control over Richmond? I couldn't give a shit less about the people who live here... let Javi grab Kate, David, Gabe, and Clem and get the fuck out of Richmond and on to finding AJ at Mccarrol Ranch.

  • What exactly is episode 5 suppose to be about? Rebellion or something? Why? Not to mention Joan,Clint and Lingard are nearly all dead/incapacitated which means the leadership of new frontier is has fallen which begs the question who is this Rebellion against? Why doesn't Javier round up his group and just go on their way since they have zero stake in Richmond except (determinately) David. Why is Clementine still with Javier and his group? To me it seems telltale really didn't think this "finale" build up through at all.

  • Do you think a 13 year old girl with a toddler running alone in the woods again is a better idea than staying in a community who basically saved AJ's life?
Especially with a leader she trusts?
If I watched the concept art, Javi is gonna help Clem finding AJ.

  • Well she did survive on her with AJ for a decent amount of time and is quite capable of taking care of herself. Also this "community" is a complete disaster with 1-2 of its leaders dead with mass chaos ensuing after the execution scene not to mention the flood of walkers flooding inside Richmond. It just comes off as forced for clementine to even be in the game overall not to mention this long drawn out AJ story.

It was obvious she suffered lots with AJ alone in the woods. This is why she joined the new frontier anyway.
AJ would have died in the woods without care of a doctor. So basically the new frontier saved AJ's life.
As I see she is growing closer with Javier, I don't think she will leave him.
Unless he dies in the end...she will end up alone again in the woods.

  • I'd really like to see a flashback of Clementine before the apocalypse happened

  • Yeah, I agree. I'd rather just leave David and if he wants to stay Gabe behind to run that show and just hit the road knowing Richmond is in decent hands with family connections. Seems more like Javier's style anyway.

Yeah, I was wondering about that myself. There is, like, no reason for her to stick around at this point--especially if Javier/she took Lingard's deal. As far as I can tell, she has no extensive love for anyone in the group: not Javier, not Gabe, not Tripp, not Ava, and especially not David. And normally, I'd be okay with a nominal group member sticking around to help out of the kindness of their heart(like Mark?, Chuck, Vernon, Mike, and (I was hoping) Max), but Clementine has little to no actual motivation to do so--unlike friggin Jane even!

Honestly, I'm hoping she takes off a quarter into the episode to find AJ once the gang regroups. Hell, I don't even want Gabe or determinantly Ava to tag along with her anymore.

Because they're different people with different mindsets? David is clearly a lot more chill as a Leader than as a family man and he said himself that he put a lot of hard work and investment into keeping the people of Richmond safe. So leaving him in charge of the city he helped create seems like a happy ending for him.

It's not like Javier can't ever visit him or something.
