I don't think he takes TWD seriously, or any game at this point. I like him because of his sketches and parody videos, however I can't watch him playing something heavy, that demands concentration, commitment or maturity. He doesn't pay enough attention so I get annoyed and quit watching.
Yeah, I remember him saying it wasn't like it used to be. So I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't take this season seriously.
It's not only ANF but other games too, let's say The Last Guardian or Inside, games in which you are supposed to be calmer, focused and immersed deep into the atmosphere in order to enjoy them. Instead, he kept making stupid jokes and was distracted by everything.

Yeah, he was too busy reading $$$ donations instead of actually playing the game. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't care about this lackluster of a season at all. Maybe that's the main reason why he's live streaming it. He can't be asked to spend time to actually PLAY the game and EDIT the video afterwards.
In my opinion, he should just quit it. His playthrough is fucked anyways because of his save file got corrupted or something like that. And I'm pretty sure no one even cares about his playthrough anyways.
