Season 1 finale comes along and he won't come help me save Clem cause he's pissed at me.
Reminding him of family is all you had to. That's the problem with Kenny at times, you have to remind him of the things you "have" done for him and then he will be ok with you. Obviously you told him to fuck himself or you begged him which is why he didn't go with you. Either that or he flat out refused but if that happened then you can't blame him at all if you literally shit on the friendship from day 1.
Anyway its technically false to be fair because when Lee gets back from Vernon's, Kenny ends up going with you in the end anyway. He wasn't exactly against it when it they all got trapped in the attic
I think what makes characters irredeemable for me is being petty. The characters that come to mind immediately as irredeemable for me are Ke… morenny (S1) and Eleanor (S3).
I didn't agree with Kenny on a lot of things, but we were still civil, and I trusted he'd help take care of Clementine, being a dad himself. Season 1 finale comes along and he won't come help me save Clem cause he's pissed at me.
Eleanor found out I killed Conrad, who had a gun to my nephew's head and immediately sells me out (as well as endangers Tripp) to be in some shitshow community. Just damn petty.
There might be others but I can't think of em.
Also the way i look at it is as long as Lee has others with him, the boat is as much a priority as she is and don't forget that at the time everyone thought it was Vernon who took her and based on that thinking, they assumed she would be there and at least unharmed because everyone thought Vernon was at least not a bad person who would hurt her. That's another reason as to why i feel it wasn't a known urgency at the time. Anyway all this that you said never happened in my playthrough.

Breaking trust is probably the only one, if you betray the group, or kill someone in the group, its probably over, and they would have to have a really good reason for doing so, and even then I would probably never trust them again, for example, if Bonnie or any of the people who left after Arvo shot Clementine came back, they would probably have little left from me except a bullet to the head.
Nonsensical/badly writte betrayals such as Eleanor might get a pass, since I dont feel like a character should be responsible for bad writing
Well i just wondered as you said you hold grudges against people who stab you in the back or those that do to others. As Kenny/Lilly tend to hold grudges over Lee depending on player choice, what are your thoughts about them as characters? Are they included as unforgivable? Just thought i'd ask
On one play through I stuck with Kenny everytime except I didn't drop Ben and he still refused so I said fuck you to him because I made a couple decisions I didn't agree with just for Kenny and he didn't even come with me without having to convince him
I chose was "fuck you"
Did you really think it was worth it when you could have easily said Clementine was Lee's family? What's the point of that option anyway? It's for scumbags only.
Jane because of her nasty treatment towards Sarah and Kenny, and just her know it all attitude bothered me as well.
Luke for constantly messing up, which is funny considering how people call Sarah or Nick screw ups when he messed up far more. Abandons the group for no reason, comes back and nearly gets Kenny killed because he couldn't wait to get food and then even had the nerve to suggest leaving Kenny and Sarita behind, fooling around with Jane when he had job to do which got Sarah killed.
Then there's there's just the straight up really bad people like the Stranger, St. Johns, Carver.
Well, I think they have every right to hold grudges against me especially if it's influenced by something I did to piss them off
But if I had to choose one person to forgive, I would be more lenient on Kenny because in terms of social consciousness, he's the right man. His instincts were to help Lee and Clementine whereas Lilly's was vice versa and I mostly felt that her contentious outbursts were just out of anger. She DID look remorseful after shooting Carley/Doug but she still had no reason to pull her piece out and straight up murder someone because she's not getting what she wanted. I was pissed at Kenny killing Larry but I grew to think it was justified and of course, this is subjective
Lilly was the
"sit back and wait" person, kenny was the
"survival at all costs person"
Kenny > Lilly
Sorry if I didn't answer your question properly. It's 3 in the morning here lol

See, I feel that there aren't any full-on villains in TWD universe. Just people with fucked-up lives taking out their frustrations on others.
I mean, what were The Stranger and Carver's real motives. All the former wanted was a(nother) family. All Carver wanted really was to know whether or not Rebecca's child was his. And in his defence, there weren't too many ways of finding out, so he just decided to believe that the child was his.
If he really enjoyed killing people, he'd have shot everyone at the lodge.
The only time I find myself not being able to forgive a character is if they're truly evil or have sinister intentions like The Stranger or Carver. Otherwise, I don't get angry at all or get over it pretty quickly.

Luke was def fallible but he didn't abandon the group. He had a fight with Kenny and went for a walk. It's implied Carver was leaving with our group when he came back. He diddled Jane before the events at the observation deck. I agree it was poor timing and in poor taste but Rebecca's screams would have draw walkers setting the same events in motion regardless.

A child which he's implied to have coerced his friend's wife into cheating on him to conceive.
If he really enjoyed killing people, he'd have shot everyone at the lodge.
Can't kill you, still need you. To stroke my ego and do my labor.

You know what, you're not the first person I've seen say that; there's an entire tumblr blog where the person hates Luke almost as much as they hate Jane. Anyway, I generally give him a pass on most of those things because he was definitely trying his damnedest to do right by everyone, usually had decent reasoning behind them but bad luck (and Creative Favoritism) tended to trip him up and he'd still make an effort to make things right.

Depends on how cruel they are like for example Arvo I was nice to him helped him when Kenny was beating him up didn't steal the medicine from him but still he shoots you near the end

I'm assuming you were mostly on good terms with Kenny, so you wouldn't have gotten to see his bad side. Also, I guess the better phrase would be getting pissy. He always got pissy with my Lee for disagreeing with him (as I remember it, haven't played season 1 in a while).
Even if I convinced him to come with me, I'd still see him as irredeemable just for the initial rejection. Lee really didn't need his time wasted arguing, which was the reason I went with the "fuck you" dialogue in the first place.
Well there you go. How can you be annoyed at him for not going with you when you straight up tell him to fuck himself?? Lol.
And I disagr… moreee that he was "whining" throughout season 1. Whining being the wrong word in my view. Explain which parts you mean?

Oh i have played the game several times and seen both Kenny personalities but I don't hold a grudge. I could say the same about Lilly but of course no one criticises her just because she's not onscreen as often or it's not as obvious but she was just as pissy when you disagreed with her except I personally feel Kenny comes across as more honest when he says how he feels.
My point is, i totally understood why he got pissy and I don't blame him for his feelings. I mean if my life was saved after a horrible old man punched me to the ground and left me to die, i would forever be grateful to the person who saved me. You can understand how Kenny would feel if you just went against him all the time. Besides he doesn't get annoyed EVERY time you side against him, i guess it depends what you were referring to? Could you list a few occasions you meant when he got "pissy" with you? Just so i can debate it? I may even agree with you on some.

For me it's a combination or just a selection of these traits:
Ignoring all logic. Selfishness. Overconfident for no good reason. Ungratefulness. No compassion.
The characters that fell in that category for me: Arvo, Bonnie, Mike, Badger, Andy, Brenda, Danny, Katja, and Gabe. Joan is a close runner-up. Maybe episode 5 will put her on the list for sure.

I listed Danny St. John.
Anyway, Jane is one of the most reprehensible characters I've seen, given her self-righteous air, fantastic raci… moresm, disregard for human life(including minors), and quite literally lethal hypocrisy in spite of how the narrative actually treats her. There's a reason those traits are often reserved for villainous characters.
Choosing the clem is my family option always gets him to come with you unless the points are low enough, otherwise Kenny will be very angry and outright refuse. Otherwise you either get "what kind of a friend would I be if I weren't there for you now" or "would you be there for me? Because there have been plenty of time when you ain't been". That last one is where you choose the clem is Lee's family option.
Well I can't remember if I had to convince him or not but I remember the first thing I chose was "fuck you" also I let lilly back in the RV and didn't drop Ben but that's just human empathy so Kenny can go die in a hole
Bonnie, too. She also only wanted to help a kid get away from a guy who wouldn't stop beating him. Although they did steal all of the food and left nothing for clem, Kenny and maybe AJ depending on what was in the bag.
I meant as a list of unforgivable characters, my bad. Mike decided to help Arvo because he felt sorry for him, a young man who lost his group and family while being pretty much a hostage. I understand that, but then when Clementine gets shot he just leaves her there. Not only that, Mike is going to steal all the supplies that a child and an infant need. Just to help Arvo who pretty much brought the situation upon himself. Had Mike just left with Arvo then I wouldn't even be mad at him. But to steal practically everything he could for someone like Arvo versus a child and a baby, that makes him unforgivable. Brenda is a cannibal that wasn't eating out of desperation, but just eating. I could understand if she was starving, but all three of the St. Johns weren't malnourished. They looked sickly because humans aren't able to properly digest humans (I think); like Jeffrey Dahmer who would reek so bad because of it.
Bonnie lead Carver to Kenny's group even after being offered food. She kept trying to play this nice woman, but I wasn't falling for it. She kept trying to use Clementine as a tool, like "You're small, do this." She blamed Clementine for Luke's death, or Kenny if you chose to put yourself in danger against Luke's own request. She abandons a child who was shot. I can't forgive Bonnie, I have no sympathy for her whatsoever due to my playthrough. When Luke died, I was hurt about it because despite his faults, he was one of the nicest characters in the series who had so much potential. Then for her to just blame me because she decided to go out on ice that was already cracking? Man, just typing about that scene gets me mad all over again.

Why Katjaa? I get the suicide is selfish argument but she lost her child and had no one else beside Kenny to live for. It's wrong but not unforgivable imo. Kenny was an adult.

The adults' reliance on Clem was a problem with the season. Kenny gave her the radio to give Luke against Mikes wishes, Jane expected her to kick down a door and why would Luke have the 11 yr old try to cut the cable on the observation deck with imminent walkers??

On one play through I stuck with Kenny everytime except I didn't drop Ben and he still refused so I said fuck you to him because I made a couple decisions I didn't agree with just for Kenny and he didn't even come with me without having to convince him
Example: I liked Tripp. Eleanor betrayed me and caused Tripp's death. She is unforgivable for me.
Another example: Zachary killed Gred and Nick killed Matthew, but I did not care about neither of them, so I had no problem with Zach and Nick.

Then for her to just blame me because she decided to go out on ice that was already cracking? Man, just typing about that scene gets me mad all over again.
What did Walter do?
If it makes you feel any better, it is a video game so find other things to be mad at.
