Eleanor is going down. I'm going to make sure of that in my playthrough. It sucks because I really wanted to like these characters of the ne… morew group. But one by one they're turning me against them ever since episode 3. I'm even hoping I can get Trip to die since I wanted to save Ava. Only people I like so far in this season after episode 4 are Clementine, Javier, David, Druggie Doc, Clint, and Ava.
Eleanor will get her time to explain herself, but at the moment, I hate her guts and will leave her for dead first chance I get. People like Ben, Sarah, Nick and Gabe may be liabilities, but I can believe that they have good intentions, but I will never tolerate someone who goes against the entire group selfishly.

Yeahhh, sometimes you gotta be careful about picking certain fights. I personally liked episodes 1 and 2; I just hated the flashbacks, and disliked the lack of diversity with people's Clementines. Other than that I dug the characters. That was the one thing I wanted almost as bad as Kenny/Jane's survival, to like the new characters. But episode 3 came and all hell broke loose.

I think the plan was going to be Javi, Gabe, and Clem were going to walk up and Javi was going to plead his case to the people and when everything started to get riled up, if Javi could talk them into Joan being the bad guy, Ava and Tripp were going to be in a strategic position to cover Javi and the kids.
I am not sure. She was good at the beginning. She helped us so much. She saved Kate's life did her best. But after she find about Conrad, she sold us out and she actually betrayed us. Even you didnt kill Conrad, she will still do that and she did put herself first. She is the main reason why Tripp or Ava died. This is not something I can easily forgive. I have to know that she is actually regret about what she'd done.

Really, all Eleanor coming to her did was allow her to plan a little gambling political game and get to keep an extra doctor in her city, especially since Javier, Clementine, and Gabe were apparently planning to just walk up and challenge her anyway.
It's the Ava and especially Tripp being captured part that doesn't add up.

Trip was a little uptight, but nothing I can't handle since I loved Kenny. Eleanor was a bit nosy, but nothing too bad - she had a kind heart. All of a sudden in episode 3, I'm being forced into a relationship with Kate as though I flirted with her. Eleanor is jealous, Trip is trying to push me to Kate so he can get back with Eleanor. Kate wants to just abandon David, and expect me (his BROTHER) & Gabe (his SON) to leave with her. That's when I started to lose it. Heck, even Max seemed like he had some good to him until he pretty much buddy pals with Badger in episode 3. It felt like TTG was going in a direction, got the backlash and made some changes that gave changes to the characters' personalities or paths.

Like, I can get behind having Lonnie try to frame up David and Joan being this political gambler would've been nice on it's own, but I feel like one serious issues with Thicker Than Water is that it seemingly does everything it can to drag as many character through the mud as possible, even if they have to kill some of them.
But, like I said, Max's actual behavior throughout most of the episode gives off the impression of someone who got involved purely because he was convinced the benefits were worth it but his standards meant that he was very willing to put a stop to it when the opportunity presented itself. I actually feel pretty bad about how he's treated otherwise in part because of that and I hope he pops up in the finale to help out since he's absent unless dead in the previous one. I definitely helps that I get the idea that Badger's sacking of Prescott was very unorthodox all things considered.

Agreed. Unfortunately I killed Max in my playthrough only because I was fired up. I didn't think I'd be excited for the season finale since my connections with characters have been all over the place. But as the days wind down, I feel more and more anxious. Speaking of how bad they're trying to make characters out to be, I really hope they don't do that with David. Something outrageous like a swerve where AJ is actually dead, or in bad shape because of David - that would make no sense to me.

I'd say it depends on the situation. If she believes fully that she did nothing wrong even though she's technically the reason why tripp died in my game, then she can go fuck herself.
