I'm glad the season finale is coming so you guys will stop bitching about Gabe. Thank God. It's getting even more annoying than Gabe (for you guys)

I can't... I just can't take anything seriously anymore about anything ever again.

This shit is so beyond the realm of plausibility, I... I don't even know... For the first time, I got nothing...

  • But...why ? What's so beyond the realm of plausibility, I think the helicopter will also fall down right after Clem makes that jump, it looks like it's on a bridge pretty high up so I don't see any other way to reach the other side.

  • Gabe's behavior might be determinant. Maybe he backs Javi up, or he doesn't depending on how he was treated.

If he acts like a smug bastard about it, he's off the Christmas card list.

  • It's blatantly ridiculous and the fact that it is specifically shown means that Telltale is artificially using that as a means to try and, yet again, make Clementine look like she's fearless and without doubt of any situation even though previously she whined to a stab victim about how her cramps were slightly uncomfortable.

So, either she's a whine-baby or she's a parkour expert (who taught her that I wonder?) that does something more comfortably in-line with a Pirates of the Caribbean film. I just figured TWD was somewhat a human drama with real world consequences to choices and not some radically over-the-top adventure plot written by a thirteen year old.

    It's very lame, either way.

But...why ? What's so beyond the realm of plausibility, I think the helicopter will also fall down right after Clem makes that jump, it looks like it's on a bridge pretty high up so I don't see any other way to reach the other side.

  • I'm hoping that Gabe's behaviour towards Javier in the finale depends on how the player treats him throughout the story.

Conrad's death shouldn't cause Gabe to side against Javier permanently and with no chance of reconciliation, considering that Gabe should know that his uncle did killed Conrad to save his life. It doesn't make much sense for this one act to prompt Gabe to fully support his father beat his uncle half to death, the same person who cared for and protected him ever since the apocalypse began.

Too late. 5 episodes too late honestly.

Hell, if we're getting technical, it's been too late for that since roughly Season 2 was released.

The sad thing about it is that S2 and ANF are more faithful to the source material compared to S1, at least nowadays.

  • I disagree with you here.

Yes, even though he certainly lacked some of the things you mentioned, you can't honestly say that he wasn't the most (or one of the most developed) characters in the cabin group.

Luke was kinda flat, Carlos and Alvin definitely were. Rebecca changed her opinion on Clem in a scene. Pete was a pretty good character, but he died pretty early. Sarah was really screwed in the writing, since the episode that was meant to focus on her character development absolutely screwed her.

  • If gabe had a gun and had to choose he'd probably somehow or someway would fire it at himself or make the bullet ricochet off of something and hit himself with it. Then he'd turn into a zombie and Clem, Javi and David would all curb stomp him at the same time with that music playing in the background that was played in that family guy episode where Stewie and Bryan stomp on Peter's favorite song.

  • Maybe it'll be like the Kenny vs Jane fight and Gabe will be in Clementine's place. Then again since we are playing as Javi maybe we'll have the power to stop the fight. I guess it'll depend on the circumstances.

  • That's not saying much considering the cast he was a part of. Besides having a few developmental moments it didn't make Nick a "memorable" character off of that. Most people easily forget Nick along with most of S2'S cast since nearly the entire cast was forgettable due to having no uniqueness, depth, development or writing focus. Nick may be the most developed member of the cabin group, but as you stated that really doesn't mean much when considering the group he was a part of was almost completely forgettable and extremely lackluster.

  • It's still his dad who he's known for years and been dreaming about meeting again for since the outbreak.

With that said, Gabe's characterization makes me very much doubt he'd just let it happen without trying to object or interfere at some point.

From a narrative perspective, Gabe taking his fathers side over Javier doesn't make much sense. The kid has been with Javier the last 4 yea

  • Yeah well they been and reached implausibility soon as Clementine began kicking over 100 year old trees into the road. Or actually when she began surviving rifle shots through the chest without prompt medical help. But atleast now she has something in common with Carl if she meets him after things go south with Gabe. Would make quite the shirtless tale.
