But...why ? What's so beyond the realm of plausibility, I think the helicopter will also fall down right after Clem makes that jump, it looks like it's on a bridge pretty high up so I don't see any other way to reach the other side.
I can't... I just can't take anything seriously anymore about anything ever again.
This shit is so beyond the realm of plausibility, I... I don't even know... For the first time, I got nothing...
Me everytime someone post something against Gabe in this forum:
I'm glad the season finale is coming so you guys will stop bitching about Gabe. Thank God. It's getting even more annoying than Gabe (for you guys)
It's blatantly ridiculous and the fact that it is specifically shown means that Telltale is artificially using that as a means to try and, yet again, make Clementine look like she's fearless and without doubt of any situation even though previously she whined to a stab victim about how her cramps were slightly uncomfortable.
So, either she's a whine-baby or she's a parkour expert (who taught her that I wonder?) that does something more comfortably in-line with a Pirates of the Caribbean film. I just figured TWD was somewhat a human drama with real world consequences to choices and not some radically over-the-top adventure plot written by a thirteen year old.

I'm hoping that Gabe's behaviour towards Javier in the finale depends on how the player treats him throughout the story.
Conrad's death shouldn't cause Gabe to side against Javier permanently and with no chance of reconciliation, considering that Gabe should know that his uncle did killed Conrad to save his life. It doesn't make much sense for this one act to prompt Gabe to fully support his father beat his uncle half to death, the same person who cared for and protected him ever since the apocalypse began.
Gabe's behavior might be determinant. Maybe he backs Javi up, or he doesn't depending on how he was treated.
If he acts like a smug bastard about it, he's off the Christmas card list.

It's very lame, either way.
Having a poorly written death and being poorly written doesn't equate to being memorable. Ben is memorable from his unique look, memorable scenes and his death scenes. Nick had almost none of those combined with having little character development.
I kinda disagree with you here...
Nick may have been screwed in terms of writing in episodes 3-4, but his 4th episode death is so bad, th… moreat it is legendary.
It is everything you should NOT do when writing a death scene.
So, I'd say he's memorable enough because of really crappy death (along with the wasted potential).
Yes, even though he certainly lacked some of the things you mentioned, you can't honestly say that he wasn't the most (or one of the most developed) characters in the cabin group.
Luke was kinda flat, Carlos and Alvin definitely were. Rebecca changed her opinion on Clem in a scene. Pete was a pretty good character, but he died pretty early. Sarah was really screwed in the writing, since the episode that was meant to focus on her character development absolutely screwed her.

If gabe had a gun and had to choose he'd probably somehow or someway would fire it at himself or make the bullet ricochet off of something and hit himself with it. Then he'd turn into a zombie and Clem, Javi and David would all curb stomp him at the same time with that music playing in the background that was played in that family guy episode where Stewie and Bryan stomp on Peter's favorite song.
Maybe it'll be like the Kenny vs Jane fight and Gabe will be in Clementine's place. Then again since we are playing as Javi maybe we'll have the power to stop the fight. I guess it'll depend on the circumstances.
That's not saying much considering the cast he was a part of. Besides having a few developmental moments it didn't make Nick a "memorable" character off of that. Most people easily forget Nick along with most of S2'S cast since nearly the entire cast was forgettable due to having no uniqueness, depth, development or writing focus. Nick may be the most developed member of the cabin group, but as you stated that really doesn't mean much when considering the group he was a part of was almost completely forgettable and extremely lackluster.

Seems more like a "Holy shit, is this actually happening?" face to me than a "Yeah! Kick his ass, Dad!"
Oh how I love when people make up bullshit reasons to be mad at Gabe.

From a narrative perspective, Gabe taking his fathers side over Javier doesn't make much sense. The kid has been with Javier the last 4 yea… morers, how is it possible that he'll let his dad who he just met beat the living crap out of Javier??
A least Kate has some brains.
Because he's conflicted? Relax, Gabe has been characterized in such a way that him actively choosing do nothing rather than being in shock or maybe even told to stay out of it(like he'd listen anyway) would be the twist.
Conrad's death shouldn't cause Gabe to side against Javier permanently and with no chance of reconciliation, considering that Gabe should know that his uncle did killed Conrad to save his life. e
No, because it'd be fuckinstupid if it did.
Unless he's secretly been an Orc this entire time.

Yeah well they been and reached implausibility soon as Clementine began kicking over 100 year old trees into the road. Or actually when she began surviving rifle shots through the chest without prompt medical help. But atleast now she has something in common with Carl if she meets him after things go south with Gabe. Would make quite the shirtless tale.

My favorite Gabe moment: When he rats on you about killing Conrad to the group, you get the dialogue option "You little prick..", and Javier just shouts, YOU LITTLE FUCKIN' ASSHOLE!

Conrad's death was worth that moment.

Actually it was the truck and they had Clem there as well.
EDIT: oh you mean the dumpster from Episode 2?
inb4 he actually saves your life

Unless he survives and is a major character in season 2.
Gabe's behavior might be determinant. Maybe he backs Javi up, or he doesn't depending on how he was treated.
If he acts like a smug bastard about it, he's off the Christmas card list.

If helicopter scene will be there just to show how badass Clementine is then ANF gonna reach the absurd level of the 7th season of The Walking Dead.
Having a poorly written death and being poorly written doesn't equate to being memorable. Ben is memorable from his unique look, memorable scenes and his death scenes. Nick had almost none of those combined with having little character development.
But she still trys not just stand in there unless the player did cus her actions depends on the player choices.
Too late. 5 episodes too late honestly.
Hell, if we're getting technical, it's been too late for that since roughly Season 2 was released.
The sad thing about it is that S2 and ANF are more faithful to the source material compared to S1, at least nowadays.
I disagree with you here.

Which is especially weird given that, unlike some characters, he actually has stuff behind him for them to be legit mad at.
Actually, I'd argue that Nick got more character development than most of the other Season 2 characters.
Looking at the cast of S2 is that really saying much?
It's still his dad who he's known for years and been dreaming about meeting again for since the outbreak.
With that said, Gabe's characterization makes me very much doubt he'd just let it happen without trying to object or interfere at some point.
He held up his dad to keep him from hanging to death.
Because he's conflicted? Relax, Gabe has been characterized in such a way that him actively choosing do nothing rather than being in shock or maybe even told to stay out of it(like he'd listen anyway) would be the twist.
Y'know, A New Frontier season 2. That thing that's totally happening? :^)
...Wait, what?
No, because it'd be fuckin stupid if it did.
Unless he's secretly been an Orc this entire time.
Uff. You people are, like, so predictable sometimes, you know dat?

Are you talking about Carl and Gabe or Carl and Clementine? Or hopefully, just Clementine?
Why does Clem look so low res?
Because she's in motion.

Conrad's death was worth that moment.
Jesus christ it looks like that hurts her legs, lol.
Why is everyone so easily offended in the telltale community?
Here, I'm Ethan irl. And I know it's a resident evil 7 thing.
Yeah, that bait and switch was pretty hilarious.
